  1. @lol-lolAll a load of farting about that many can not be bothered about. They just want to get in a car and drive. But then UK NSL 60 mph roads like Harry goes road testing on and many drive and where regen will be wanted the EV,s do just fine even if you have a 98% battery and are doing 65 mph and lift off the accelerator. People do not read the Owners Manual every time they drive other peoples cars, or check tyre pressures, or maybe get with a full charge or a below 90% charge.
  2. On my phone the bumff about the Next restyled Corsa popped up. It is getting so that you need to look to see if there is an article in Autocar incase it is some AI generated stuff, even then you can not be sure.
  3. I can see that taking it off might look better. Personally i would leave on as they do protect from 'Touch parkers' a bit. Rear end protection.
  4. I missed the 8 years old. Tough luck sadly. You need to pay to have the roof refinished. Sprayed, or Wrapped. Wrapped after the lacquer dealt with though.
  5. EDIT. Sorry reading on phone missed most of ^^^ before posting. Below not relevant in this case. ..................... Get a Professional Paint Sprayers opinion before paying. So that you know they are refunding you. Or should, even if you need to take them to court. £90 is OK, they were threatening charging more like £900 if you went for the Independent Experts report and there was no Factory Faults. It was worth saying get on with it and get it done, you are paying when the fault is confirmed. As in Skoda / VW Group UK. Then the New Warranty Managers / HQ VW started refusing to accept the decision of their Own Chosen Experts. The decision made by nobody with any formal training in Car bodies, paint, refinishing. They are good at taking the pith. ? Is the car out of the 3 years Paint Warranty? Tough luck really if it is & not reported while in the warranty period. In the UK anyway. This member paid £180 to get a inspection and report 7 years ago. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/430237-bonnet-paint-defect
  6. No worries about who some might consider as a pensioner crashing into stuff in supermarket car parks with that sort of performance.
  7. It can be if someone had to tug the door to get it open. Water freezes between the 2 seals. Or just some other way. ? Where are you? If the washer fluid is not for a low enough temperature it will freeze in the washer bottle. The lowest i had this winter was -14*oC. But i use -20*oC washer fluid. Not that it squirts as the nozzles freeze.
  8. @pingpongpete1 Is it this car from Arnold Clark?
  9. Newer then 4 year old ones split, in warranty sometimes. I am in Scotland and it has been cold enough for rubbers freezing. I prep for winter with Gummi Pflege or other rubber treatments Weather was cold enough this week in the part of Scotland where i am. Snow tomorrow, then Scorchio so warm rain.
  10. Ukraine not in the EU but in Europe, Ireland in the EU and Europe but not the UK. Models change for different markets.
  11. @nta16 A 'Leak' into the cabin / interior is a different thing from water going into the door and flowing out of the bottom of the door and onto the ground when the door is opened. One has water inside the car, the other does not. Still happening with Scala, Kamiq and others. Vorsprung Durch Technik never happened.
  12. Welcome. You have to go check the tyres with a tyre pressure gauge to see which of the 4 is lower than when set and the TPMS was set. Only 4 to do, it could be the first you check or 2nd, 3rd or the 4th. But then you will know the pressures you are running. ? Have you checked the pressures and set since getting the car and reset the TPMS?
  13. They are not leaks on the inside of the doors, brand new cars have H2o going between the glass and top seal and out the bottom of the door. Winter weather and doors not opened and there can be a block of ice in there. And common for ice and rubbers being torn.
  14. 4 year old car. Be sure to service the doors by cleaning out the drain holes at the bottom. Water can gathers in there if the passenger door not open often, or even daily in some weather conditions.
  15. Holy smoke, that front Trawl Doors look totally crap IMO.
  16. @J.R. Is it you or me that needs to wear their specs or get new ones? I did not notice in the Mk3 Section so a car older the 3 years as far as The Manufacturers Paint Warranty, unless on an extended. I thought i was looking at the roof of the car.
  17. @ian3 How long have you had the car before noticing the cut? If it was there during the inspection during the Pre-sales but noticed or not noticed it was maybe not going to get replaced anyway. If it was not noticed by you when buying the can then maybe damaged since. ? Which Dealership Group sold it to you, Arnold Clark?
  18. Everything to do with Skoda and the Paint Warranty. The Dealership is only the Agent you report to and that can get the Warranty Manager to have the Inspection & Report carried out by a qualified person. Has that Report been done? Have you got past the Skoda Customer Services Provider to Skoda and a Communications Manager or Resolution Manager? The T&C,s are in the warranty. Best read it. Report ASAP to an Authorised Repairer.
  19. They look ok. The wheels might not look good as time goes by and they are shod with pretty ridiculous tyres on this one.
  20. In the UK there are viewing areas for Safety. Standing at the front is good enough to know if someone revs the car beyond what is required for the Emissions test. Tell them not to be stupid barstewards if that is what they are being.
  21. I hope someone knows the truth because i do not believe what you were told about the 'Skoda Finance Deposit Contribution'.
  22. The relevant thing is. The DSG,s can be Parked or stopped with Engine Off and in P or N, as needed to Service them. e-Brake on or not. So that they can be rolled / wheels turned, winched onto a recovery truck etc. DSG,s can be started in left in N as long as it is not below -8*oC. (Or DQ200 7 speed Dry Clutch DSG,s could be.)
  23. Autohold holds the Front & Rear brakes as the Brake Pedal does. And any movement applies more pressure. It does not apply / use the Parking Brake / e-Brake so just the rears. (no longer a HAND BRAKE just a finger brake.)
  24. Hardly going to wreck it getting the accelerator held down. ? Are you not allowed to watch the MOT from a waiting area?
  25. @PilsnerUrquel It would help if you said what your car was, as in diesel or petrol. So does it not have a rev limit already? Is it a petrol? Is the MOT in Belgium really testing emissions on cold engines? They do not do the other checks / inspection with the engine runnng!
