  1. There is an issue anyway battery or not that Stop / Start does not work first journey of the day no matter how far it is driven.
  2. ? Where was the Diesel leak at an injector? How much oil in the sump, is there too much, diluted with diesel?
  3. Scouts were / are not higher. Standard Height. vRS / Monte Carlo were lower, and a TSI or a TDI or a TSI or TDI Estate have different springs. As to Greenlines and lower or less ground clearance, as well as springs possibly different there is Underbody protection & different tyres Total Diameter / circumference.
  4. The change is one Skoda / VW brought in. No point others saying what their older cars pre Updates do. It is a shame you only get D with in Drive, Automatic shifts, but really does it mater, 'Scream if you want to go faster, kick down or accelerate, and the car changes gear. Use S or Manual if you want to know what gear you are in.
  5. Such is life if you lease / rent a Prestige vehicles as a company car / business and personal use. What needs looked at is the difference of the costs of running an ICE or EV Porsche over the 3 or 4 years or longer. Money down, monthlies, maintenance, running cost of fuel, insurance etc. Tax benefits. You pay £1,000 or more a month because you are driving a £120,000 car, well it was that on the invoice. WBAC / Mptorway / other TRADE buyers are buying a car to sell. That is what they give in Cash Money, not what the car will be selling at to a 2nd keeper at what ever outlet. As to subscribers for Electric Car Content if you have no Electric car like a Taycan / Mecan there will be no Electric Car content and what does HMRC give as a wee sweetener to do your Filming and Transportation in a Porsche 911?
  6. ? How many miles ago was that when filled. The Adblue range might drop 500 miles at a time, and sometimes as the cars / engines gets older it goes many more than 500 miles before dropping. Is that 5,500 miles the Max Range a Kodiaq shows for AdBlue topped up? My Alhambra from 2016 showed more and more range as the miles went on, and about 3 year old was just sipping Adblue.
  7. Not bursting on fire. They could have got a John Cooper Works MINI Electric with 258 hp for this comparison rather than a Cooper SE with JCW trim. . Maybe with more tyre scrabbling though.
  8. Surely a good thing if lots of people are really getting shot of their Tesla or their rented Tesla. More used bargains to chose from maybe. Just buy a good one and do not pay too much if there are plenty to choose from. Or a Model S, but still cheap running and comfort.
  9. Surely / Shirley is all fine and well. But it is as well reading the threads of those that had the 1.0 TSI,s with GPF,s doing high idle speeds. No GPF light on or anything. but the High Idle speed and car running away from them. Not a regen which is done with high temp and lifting off the accelerator and during deceleration.
  10. GPF. Gasoline Particular Filter.
  11. I have no right leg so no right foot and drive automatics without having a left hand accelerator fitted. If the Brake pedal is ever an issue height wise on a borrowed car or my own car i might remove the Rubber or plastic cover. Some need glued back on when putting back, or for a MOT. Sometimes i put on a thin bit of rubber, or a bit of sand paper / skate board deck tape. I used to decades ago cut down the Automatics Brake pedal or Modify by modifying. ie Shortening the arm and welding back on the pedal. (But that was depending on the arm being cast, weldability.) http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/451801-dsg-brake-pedal-height
  12. 'Calculated to cost £7,000" So the council is not DEMANDING £7,000 now are they! The company that was preparing for Full Fibre outside my house so digging up the pavements charge £1,800 to do the dropped kerb and that includes the Permit from the Council That might just be cheaper for many reasons, but it is far from £7,000. ............ Lambeth. So maybe £4,000 for Searches, Planning, Permits. Then the dropped kerb.
  13. Handy if you are not running 2 threads on the same subject. I replied in the Octavia section.
  14. If you can keep an Extended Warranty Valid and the car is not tuned then be sure to get an extended warranty. If you trust the place to do the Servicing surely you trust their advice as to the consumables.
  15. If going to use 97 ron min in the UK from Sainsbury maybe just go 99 ron min with Tesco Momentum 99.
  16. He is a Rodney. Simples. Nothing on Facebook. Quite a cover up. M Guy should maybe give the cash money from this little vid to some charity.
  17. New location launch next weekend. (I got my invitation.)
  18. 'This story has not been reported as far as i can see.' Does he mean in UK papers / media? Mercedes will know if this is in the UK or elsewhere, date stamp. He was sent the Video, did the person not send to the press? There are Fire and Emergency Services that will be aware, the owners, the insurers, the council / local authority. He is a bundle of joy. Great he is looking after us all from far far away in another time zone.
  19. They will know then how many are no longer working of those there were last year and how many are out of order at any time. Today it was the Vauxhall boss i heard first saying 40% of homes have no driveways and that is 60% in urban areas. That nonsense needs to be knocked on the head. Is that even the percentage of buildings without a driveway. They are really just picking numbers any numbers. The dude from Vauxhall said 40 BEV models from Stallantis and ones with over 400 miles range. Super bl00dy dooper.
  20. @Mkg Sorry my bad, i was meaning the going forward choices. So no S behind the D on your DSG. No matter.
  21. Welcome. Sad to hear. Certain it is the rear Diif. Midland VW tech should know. What did they price the job / part at? ? FMDSH really does not mean the Haldex serviced correctly. When was that done? Invoice show as done. It should have been twice by 59,000 miles. Plenty others have experienced a Main Dealer Tech draining the wrong oil when servicing the Haldex. Someone will be along with advice. There is some reading from others experiences if you search.
  22. @Al__Bundy Be a devil. Practice taking off a wheel using what kit you have and see if the wheel / tyre goes in the spare tyre well. As it is if ever you need to put the spare on a cars wheel / tyre should really be able to get carried without taking up boot space with stuff out the boot stored in a spare tyre well. Near post winter, time for Brake Servicing anyway, and checking wheel bolts can be loosened and Alloys not dissimilar metal welded to the hubs.
  23. But the shifter has just D, S or M. Try going off in S & also M1 and changing manually to M2. Then if you can dismiss the DQ200 DSG as being the cause you can start looking for some other reason.
  24. You maybe need to deal with another Authorised Repairer and get the Master Tech and Dealer Principal made aware of the issues you have. Also contact the place where the staff told you a 2 year warranty only. Dealer Principle there needs to discuss training of management and various departments.
  25. It should have been named as a project, 'the VW has no I D A if this is EVer coming!' VW Group / Skoda need in PARTNERS that can sort out the Tech of EV,s and PHEV,s that people have bought and taken away and find that they are left stranded because the setting of charging can be 'Not fit for purpose' and Dealerships appear clueless and always promising a fix is coming.
