People need to read Skoda UK Manufacturers Warranty T&C's. Lease agreements and servicing T&C's might be another mater. They (SKODA) do not talk of Service Schedules. it is 'Manufacturers Recommendations'. That used to be 'Guidelines'. Reason being, Skoda / VW Service Plans might not include stuff done to a SCHEDULE, & Skoda Approved Used Cars from FLEET.s / VW Finance Lease etc might not have had Haldex at 3 years, DSG OIl at 40,000 miles or Brake Fluid Changes at 3 years yet they get a SKODA / VW Warranty., (You try not doing things to the Manufacturers Recommendations and watch them Void a warranty even though it has a FMDSH. that can be a history of stuff not done or not done because Dealership staff never told you as there is not a SCHEDULE,) The cars reach the UK from the Factory on a Variable / Flexible Service Regime. With Long Life oil for Variable / Flexible Servicing. It is Dealership staff that change the Service Indicator to Fixed Servicing on Demonstrators / 'Management cars' which are going to be Used / Pre-loved/ maybe abused cars, and even on Customers without asking the customer. The oil will have been changed if the 34f7 sticker is in the spare tyre well showing the Service campaign done. That was since 2014. Look in the Mk3 section and the Famous dq200 clutch slip thread. shows the DSG oil change. And oil spec. There is 2 oils. One in the box and then the MCU. Bumped it for you in the Mk3 section. @Joss1733 Have you not followed EV threads much concerning charging in Scotland, England / Wales or Northern Ireland? We know now what charging can cost, free to 69 pence a kWh. As to the future then nothing looks like changing very soon, it is all over the place and a free for all as far as EV Charging costs and profits or providing a service and getting public money to do so. Prices like £3.80 and as much as you want, £1,60 just to plug in and then 16, 21,23,27,28, 30, 40, 42 and up pence a kWh. Chargers with 3 pins / 3.5 kW, 7, 22 / 25, 43/50, 100 / 125, 150, 350 kW.

If you have a Directional Tread on a Spare then use as you do with any 'Emergency Spare' that can be a different tread / compound / size / pressure, fit is and slow down and use until you can get the puncture fixed. Now that I have only used my EV for 6 miles each of the last 2 days I can see how much the electric can cost if you have to pay the commercial rate per kWh. Yesterday it took just 15 mins to top back up after a not too cold night. This morning it was 45 minutes on a Tesco 7kW charger to be back to 98% battery. I will see by Saturday when I need to go a way just what it would have cost if I was paying 23 pence a kWh on a public charger or 18 pence at home just to do 30 miles and pay for energy loss while parked. It will be much more than the £7 or so that I would of spent if I used my dirty diesel to do 6 miles a day for 5 days. EDIT. Actually 30 kW x 23 pence a kWh is £6.90 30 kW x 18 pence a kWh is £5.40 If i use 30 kWh. Usually that would take me 90 miles or more driving, but as i see maybe just 30 miles local and sitting unused 23 hours a day for 4 or 5 days.

@lol-lolI read that about some Superchargers in the Netherlands, so has it started in the UK? EDIT, a pilot scheme! Hopefully come time it will happen in the UK & possibly at affordable charging costs. The thing is that many TESLA Drivers do not use the TESLA Superchargers due to the cost to use. That filling stations unleaded pumps now put E10 into your tank and not E5. It will very very unlikely make any difference biu when anyone is considering a car doing anything they think is different then it is simple to consider what is different other than the car being a year older.

One difference between last year and this which might make no difference is that you are using E10 Unleaded 95 ron rather than E5 95 ron unless you buy Super Unleaded. Probably no difference smell wise from the exhaust but then we will learn as the winter does on if anyone does report any differences. More Bio being used and now & it should be Winter Formula petrol being sold from filling stations.

How long have you had the car and is the first time you have had condensation from the exhaust and it maybe running a little rich? Sounds like the car is running as might be expected on a November evening. What was done at the servicing, has it had new spark plugs, air filter and not just the Oil & Filter changed.

Many places do not Service or Repair EV's because they have not got the trained & qualified staff. These are being trained now and Motor Groups have tied up with Colleges and Training Establishments and have apprentices and technicians. There are regular mechanics, fitters, diy'ers that will change brake pads, discs, filters, wipers, tyres and even oil whee required. The UK is not some 3rd world country and there are thousands of EV cars on the roads and many doing high mileages and being serviced and maintained. People will leave the dealership networks to work for Independents or themselves and maybe as Mobile EV mechanics because doing basic service and maintenance is not rocket science. Plenty slow chargers in the UK are not limited to 45 minutes. Park and rides are getting lots of the. A example being Stirling where there are over 60 yet only 4 Rapid chargers. It will be a location location location thing for years to come though. Edit. Sorry I see now that you are not in the UK.

Servicing is limited to @ 2 years / 18,500 miles with VW Group Skoda & Inspection Services. Brakes and Coolant and Tyres, wipers etc are consumables but then leasing might mean a minimal spend. 'Subscriptions setups' are changing the whole lease thing.

Yes i understand that. They are either right for you financially or not. Outright purchase is really a big step and maybe one too early now as said in the opening post. Renting can make sense if it works financially. @KenONeill Interest Free Loans and Grants can help lots of individuals and businesses get and run EV's. This has happened for a few years now in Scotland. There are Briskoda members that have taken advantage of these. Other parts of the UK have these as well and maybe in the near future they will be across the whole of the UK. Business users that now use / drive EV's know what the finances of it is and are often sharing the savings to them or their business while at charging hubs or just in conversations anyplace. @lol-lol so 24 hours and 6 miles driven in 2x 3 mile trips and the battery was showing 95% this morning. Plugged in at Tesco and out in less than 15 mins and it was showing 99%. So OK being ready to use if heading off someplace and I am at Tesco a few times a week and by car not e-bike if it is rainy or icy. 15 mins charge starts as you plug in and if you want it to run longer you need to confirm on the PodPoint App. If I am going to charge longer I will have bike on the car and head off for a few hours.

It can only be really annoying twice a year and takes 2 minutes to change the time if you remember how you did it last time.
