UK not GB number plates
My guess is @varaderoguywas meaning Registration plates at MOT's which are a MOT item, not stickers, decals or magnetic GB's which are in no way anything to do with a MOT in the UK. If the DVSA / DVLA / UK Government have decreed that all registration plates have now to be clean or have the UK or a Green Flash on them that will be something else. (they need to be clean when presented, i mean not with dragons, St George, St Andrew, GB flashes.)

THE Winter Tyres Thread
@fraz8888 Are you going to an average place. Or someplace particular on your biggish drive? There were frosts in Deeside / Aboyne area this morning and around the Borders the week before last. Winter Tyres been on since last winter on daily drive, it can be wet or cold anytime of the year, and all seasons on other cars all year except when winters required if snow calls for it.

UK not GB number plates
Most people in Scotland do not have cars with Reg Plates with the SCO flag on them, that would be more than half the cars. More likely to have an Arnold Clark Sticker and Number Plates. Just look at cars around you driving in Scotland or just cars First Registered in Scotland with S at the start of the Reg. Easy enough to put a St Andrew Cross Sticker on your car if you want.

Delivery times?
Cars spend their lifetime sitting waiting to get driven for a few minutes or hours occasionally or more often. Parked up new unfinished cars are not really an issue other than the big difference between the first built date and first registered date. Used cars can sit months waiting on new owners as well, they might get an occasional Italian Tune up. Tens of thousands of cars were bunkered for months while VW Group got WLTP Certification for them. They are out of or going out of Manufacturers warranty around now.

1.4 TSi oil usage and fuel consumption
@HotVRs When was the Software Update done and are you certain another has not been issued since? Are you topping up with 5w 30 FS III or with 0w 20 FS IV, and have you considered or actually started using 5w 40 FS so VW502 00 which is suitable for Variable Fixed Servicing / Oil & Filter changes ? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/465281-karoq-software-update-progress-report/page/18 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/475452-15-tsi-problem-sorted/page/2

Just looking in at the thread me and others probably have no idea which country posters are in where they are getting their new cars or not.

UK not GB number plates
Time will tell if any officers of the law or anyone in authority in an EU or any country outside the UK bothers. Maybe there will be UK Stickers available at any Traffic Stops or Control Points to be handed out to the poor people of the UK. I do wonder what the situation will be with those driving Commercial Vehicles UK registered when across the channel. They can shrug their shoulders and say la connerie or what ever they need to for BS.

Which oil for 2.0tdi vrs
Pre 2018 it is VW 507 00 that is the recommended oil. 5w 30 FS III. But 2018 on the cars left the factory with VW 509. So 0w 20 FS IV. The choice is the owners if they ignore the recommendation from VW to use the oil they used for WLTP certification if the have a car under 3 years old. So plenty VW508 00/ 509 00 threads on Briskoda for anyone to look for and read. EDIT, i can see now that the OP's car is a 2015 one, if that is the car being posted about. VW504 00 / 507 00 being the Recommended oil so the 0w 30 FS III will be fine. There are dealerships that have been using that at services with TSI's and TDI's that have left the factory with 0w 20 FS IV .

£1.99 for a UK sticker to put on the rear of a vehicle and job done. Haters can swerve Halfords if they want. Edit. £1.49 even.

@TadasT Were you successful when trying to charge the battery as in did it charge?

UK not GB number plates
@J.R. Drivers of UK vehicles taking them out of the UK are totally free to not have the UK identifier on the registration plate or a UK sticker on the rear of the vehicle. Nobody in the UK are going to be doing anything to stop them drive onto a ferry or train. They are adult people that can take responsibility for their own actions. If anyone has any issue on roads outwith the UK that is their problem and maybe they can just say this is BS. Rules or Regulations but no laws. What is the worst that can happen?

This can't be right!
A finger or thumb is usual. You might slide it along where a car has one in error with the nozzle and end up venting a petrol car, then thinking how did i get so much fuel in. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/338617-overfilling-venting-vrs-mk-ii-fuel-tank http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/384076-venting-a-petrol-fabia-fuel-tank-is-it-bad

Totally leafy!
There are though. & not just these. There is Tesla, BMW, Ford, Hyundai Kia, VW etc

This can't be right!
Some are not aware of the little button you push and that allows you to get more in. Some even push it by error when inserting the nozzle and that has more filled up than they expect. (be aware of Venting and the risks.)

new E10 Fuel and Economy
Good to hear this as many are saying the same thing. But then in the next 3 weeks it will be Winter Grade Petrol & Diesel that starts being delivered to filling stations starting in Scotland and the North of England. I like that and especially Winter Spec E5 Super Unleaded that has a formulation which is less Hygroscopic. Maybe more people will have sussed how their economy is with the current E10 95 ron before the winter spec E10 95 arrives. The mods did ask that E10 threads went in the General Automotive Chat section along with the many others.

This can't be right!
@TheWandererYou have had nothing but trouble with your car have you not, it could not actually be running right finally could it? Have you happened to increase your tyre pressures recently? It is ideal weather for getting good fuel economy, not too hot, not too cold, just right mummy bear. Maybe just right conditions for less fuel wasted by the GPF. Engine internals clean enough to eat your dinner off. If they try try and try again they must eventually get things fixed and the vehicle running as meant to. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/495957-vrs-245-warm-up-time http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/497627-oil-sensor-fault-octavia-vrs-2019 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/496871-vrs-245-measured-at-98-or-95-ron http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/497025-fuel-cleaning-agent

Service schedule
Those lovely Glass frontages and signage has to be paid for and the free drinks and biscuits, fantastic sales and after sales servicing and then the knowledgeable parts and service desk staff require 'up-selling training'. Telling people they need Fuel Treatment, AC Servicing, new discs and pads with a straight face takes practice. It all has to cost someone and customers are the goose that lays the golden egg.

DSG judder on setting off
VW Group were big on the 10 speed DSG that they were going to introduce, that with small cars would have been like a CVT, which i actually like. With the DQ200 the issue is that they are trying to get low emissions and economy. D1 is just to get the car rolling, you have 6 gear changes before you are even at 60 mph. The DQ200 is what it is. The USA and Australia get 1.4TSI's with an 8 Speed Torque Converter autos. No need for kidology WLTP / RDE2 results there, just admitting what actually the fuel usage is when cars are driven in the real world. the DQ200 all with e-tech (Mild hybrid) 1.0 & 1.5 TSI's is the VW groups solution to issues that VW Group have never accepted as being issues,

DSG holding gears
My posts are Not applicable then. Which is why I always ask what vehicle and engine so gearbox anyone is posting about. 2.0 TDI 150 ps with SCR and DSG really are the sweet spot of VW engined IMO. My posts were because I thought it was a 2018 1.5 TSI you had.
