  1. I think up to 2010 for the EU / UK. Someone will correct that if wrong.
  2. I hardly see the point of buying from anyplace in the UK as they had to have them imported from elsewhere in Europe or around the world. Best buying from the Czech Replublic or even China maybe.
  3. @f1tz Has the car ever had the brake fluid changed in the past 7 years or had it tested for H20 content? If the brake fluid had overheated it would not just have been OK after a on / off of the ignition. You need the car checked out by a competent mechanic.
  4. @DieselMonteor @AMD87might be able to help if they see this or others hopefully.
  5. Are you really 100 miles or more from a Authorised Repairer for Skoda Warranties?
  6. If the Max Towing weight unbraked is 450 kg and you stick to that any Roomster with any engine / gearbox will do just fine. Maybe look at possible issues with pre 2012 1.2 TSI's or with Euro 5 1.6 TDI's that have had the fix, so that leads towards the 1.9 TDI.
  7. @LukeG99 Is it Drums or Discs on the rear of your car, and if drums have they had any servicing / cleaning out done, as in have the drums ever been off?
  8. You are going to have to look at the inside sidewall of the tyre to see if there is a bulge. Or pull into a tyre and exhaust centre and they can put it on the ramp and see. If checking yourself, before loosening the wheel bolts to remove the wheel, jack up the rear corner and try the wheel spinning and get a strong grip and see if there is any sideways movement that might show the bearing is the problem.
  9. There was a software update TPI / workshop recall action when the car was in the dealership before being handed over to you. So did the vehicle arrive at the dealership having undergone and 'safety inspection' that a Skoda Approved Car is supposed to get but no other checks were done like checking Recall work was done. As a Skoda Warranty says Recalls should be carried out. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions. The Gov UK / DVLA recall sight has the Lack of Torque with some 1.5tsi as a Safety Critical RECALL. That is a proper recall where Registered Keepers are to be contacted. With Fleet / Lease cars the driver might never be contacted.
  10. @Doombar Running in or as it might be in the Owners Manuals 'Driving in' is still a thing, New Tyres & New Brakes, so the Tyres need the greeness taken off them, so need some miles on them when put to the right pressure and the TPMS set. The brakes are going to be as tight as they ever will be so break / wear them in. While doing that you can let the engine, gearbox, bearings etc get the newness off them and listen for any noises. Do not expect that to be the way sales people run a new car, they are just putting 3,000 miles / 3 months use on Demonstrators until they are sold as Ex Management cars. The way they drive them might do no harm, but they never check oil levels until the Warning Light shows, so maybe be sure you check when you get the car and then a few times regularly after you have been driving it.
  11. Sometime they do and sometimes they do not, and sometimes the Offer they make is more expensive than shows on that website. (You can tell us if they contact you before your warranty expires.) Do not jump in, just wait until due and then if no offer you know what to do.
  12. @Polaris Are you 2 hours away from any Skoda Dealership where your car can get plugged in and you find out if you have an issue that will be covered under the warranty. ? How many miles has your car done, and did the light just start showing before you posted here? The ESC light is Electronic Stability Control on your car is it not? EDIT. Mk3 Fabia Owners Manual.
  13. Guest_ replied to ProfH's topic in Škoda Kamiq
@Darko-Mk What is the outside temperature and what have you set the cars interior temp at and is AC on? Are the side lights & head Lights on with 'Autolights' or is it daytime and only the DRL's are on?
  14. Easy to just check the price yourself. https://insurewithskoda.co.uk/extended-warranty
  15. @j caffMore likely you use a good Dealership with competent staff. If they were all like that there would be less that have issues and come to forums unhappy with how their car is handling or how they have a crashy ride. eg http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/496381-enyaq-suspension/page/3
  16. @j caffIf you mean the tyre pressure when you collect the car. If the Tech or Fitter never adjusted the tyre pressures from what they are at from coming off the transporter to the correct pressure which will be lower than 45-50 psi then they were not doing the PDI correctly. Next thing would be to check they removed the Transport Blocks.
  17. @SurreyJohn This happened to my mums Kia back in 2006, Front Plate had ST & Rear SP and i never noticed and it was insured as SP. The car was 12 Months old and she is reversing out to take the car for it's service and she reverses into my car damaging both. 2 cars damaged and it turns out we insured her car wrongly, it should have been ST.
  18. @Brain35chBelated welcome to the forum. Sorry no idea and maybe too late now, but if a mod moves your post to the Octavia section someone might be able to answer your question.
  19. B974 Cairn O Mount closed 6pm Saturday night until the Tour of Britain goes over on Sunday. Heading up on Thursday 16th to get pictures of the Scottish Malts 2021 cars coming south from a start in Aberdeen. https://heroevents.eu/event-schedule/scottish-malts-2021
  20. @KenONeillhow very true, they never were part of Great Britain or the island of Ireland but then Geography has never been a strong point with the British.
  21. Many are fine with doing a deal just below WBAC because they know that they are not going to be left without some profit. Now WBAC have real competition with the various others that will 'buy' vehicles. It can be the time to get rid of a car if you are not wanting a trade in. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/497015-as-the-dukes-would-say-sell-sell-sell
  22. These are very unusual times, but salespeople are really just as desperate to turn over vehicles. They want to profit at sales, then at resales, and selling again or just punting to auction and getting shot of them. Plenty rubbish stock is sitting not moving and plenty used ease / fleet / motability cars are coming in, just a slight reduction because of Covid / Lockdows. There are delays though as peoples new cars are delayed. The just need buyers / borrowers to get the used stuff gone.
  23. @Polaris Bristol Street motors would love to sell you a car. Go in and look at a lovely new car and get the price to change they give after valuing your car. Then after all the figures are done and they ask if you want to sign today say you have changed your mind but they can buy your car. Then you find out how keen they are to purchase it. Used prices are high, or actually asking prices are but they are not going to be that generous.
  24. Is Gibraltar staying as is GBZ and Guernsey GBG ?
  25. As some might say, Only if they do not know their R,s from their elbow.
