  1. Continuation. Head to head vid, Hyundai Ioniq 5 project 45 vs Skoda Enyaq 60 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/497265-60-v-ioniq-5-project-45-head-to-head-road-trip-test
  2. @Jaytip What actual size tyres are on the 20" rims & have you priced replacements summers if you are not going to be fitting All Season / All weathers? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/496667-what-type-of-tyres-are-fitted-as-standard-on-enyaq http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/493989-the-free-20-wheel-upgrade http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/496457-21-alloy-tyre-sizes-on-model-60-and-80-are-different http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/495793-60-model-with-21-alloys-did-you-get-chrome-or-black-trim
  3. Size in the bottom screen shot if you are looking on the Sales Websites for Aftermarket. There might be someone on the forum or that reads this and owns their car that might like a swap.
  4. @Carlstonwill know all the scores on the doors for what fits. There will be VW Group Alloys and Steels that will suit without going aftermarket.
  5. Word they published which are supposedly from the mouth of the top man. 'we even managed to improve on the results of the pre-pandemic year 2019'
  6. PS. ^^^^^ Yesterday was much cooler, 15*oC during the day, and cooler night. What an improved miles per kWh in the mid teens compared to over 20*oC. AC was still on and set at 15*0C as the day before. The car just seems happiest when the ambient temp is lower, just not that much below 10*oC. ....................................................................... Very informative.
  7. On Radio 4 the other morning an Industry expert said that as Covid hit and the Motor Industry was facing down time they let suppliers eat dirt and while covid hit the home entertainment and technology manufacturers ramped up manufacturing and bought what they could at the price they had to pay. There was a fire, but the likes of the biggest car manufacturer in the world were taking the Michael and thought they were top dog and could just get to the head of the list with suppliers as they have done for decades. Well they have learned the hard way like others that he who pays the pipers need to pay the proper price and there is a 'Back order' waiting time. http://carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/industry-news/global-chip-shortage Customers might be peed off but Skoda seem to have done OK in the past 6 months. http://skoda-storyboard.com/en/press-releases/strong-first-half-of-the-year-skoda-auto-significantly-increases-operating-profit-and-revenue

Google Images can be worth a thousand words. or just use key words.

Customers should be treated like mushrooms. Keep them in the dark and shovel them manure.
  10. Haldex is 3 years / 30,000 miles - 48,000 km or sooner. The DSG is at 40,000 miles - 64,000 km or sooner.
  11. Well past the time when the Secretary of State for Transport or their department, DfT was telling the people of the UK what has been decided. There is a thread in the Electric Vehicle section about what goes on the Green Flash Reg Plates if anything for travelling outwith the UK.
  12. Guest_ replied to Heike's topic in Skoda Enyaq
@HeikeDid the Master Tech or a tech drive the car first before it went on a ramp or was it straight into the workshop? I hope someone did not do as @Luckypantsposted and many doubting Thomas's like me will suspect.
  13. I have sat in with Sale staff at VW Group Dealerships and they have logged in gone to my order or looked at their other orders for customers and been able in a couple of minutes pull up their branches orders, look where they are at that time and check build times for new orders, which colours or spec will have later build weeks etc.
  14. Guest_ replied to Heike's topic in Skoda Enyaq
Well there is actually. Because someone will ask and have the process explained properly to them as what exactly is being done. It can not be another Skoda Secret Service Service Campaign where it is on a must know basis and the cars owners must not know as none of their business.
  15. & now VW have Hybrids showing at the 1.4TSI requiring to be serviced at 8,000 miles or 9,000 miles, or 9,400 miles depending on where you read it or who tells you or a VW, a Skoda, Seat or Audi. They actually mean Oil & Filter change at fixed annual / miles and not a 'Service' as such, but they will take the cash however. The Green revolution of using almost no liquid fuel because for short trips you can charge and run on electric is just so much kidology unless there are dealership going to charge fair prices to change the oil and filter on engines that might only run a few hours weekly, monthly or even annually for some drivers.
  16. Guest_ replied to Heike's topic in Skoda Enyaq
@Heike Was that free gratis, just part of the After Sales & how long did that take? That might become interesting as other owners / drivers ask at their dealership of choice if Skoda have issued a TPI on the suspension and a software update or is it a physical change.
  17. Indeed it is not, but Toyota have done small capacity 3 cylinder engines for long enough and Suzuki have a Suzuki used Toyota engines. VW Group even bought some of Suzuki to get their experience and knowledge and that from them working with Mitsubishi & Fiat. Small capacity Turbo, Supercharged and mild hybrid knowledge. Suzuki bought themselves out finally on the eve of the Defeat Device Scandal breaking with the assistance of Toyota who happened to in the next weeks become biggest car manufacturer in the world again. The Japanese do not recommend the oils that VW Group do. 2009-2010 & when Euro 5 emissions came in Toyota had to change their recommended oil from 5w 30 to 0w 30 because the fuel consumption figures were so far out. Much like VW group going 0w 20 pre WLTP but then they still had to manipulate the Engine Management for the tests and ruin drivability. Vorsprung Durch Technik. If at first you can not succeed try try and try again, and then if you must cheat.
  18. @J.R. I very much doubt airbags are primary designed to protect the foolish from their selves. Just this week on a 'Traffic Cops' repeat an Officer of the law was lecturing a driver on how dangerous an airbag going off can be to an unrestrained driver. ie, not wearing a seat belt. At the time it had be Googling it. I already knew it was rather dangerous. https://ohsonline.com/articles/2008/03/study-airbag-use-without-seatbelt-increases-injury-risk.aspx Just as well so many cars in the UK / EU are going about with airbags that might not even deploy as well out of date or never had the Service Campaign / Recall actions done, or bags replaced after accidents etc. *Not serious there, but then Insurers are not taking it seriously.*
  19. @zetzet Personally I do not need to check as i have been driving and buying and selling cars for decades and working in garages, so know the history of vehicles and what to avoid and how to service and maintain. Owned ones that are from manufacturers that are Japanese, South Korean, French, Czech, German, British, and built in Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, South Africa and probably other countries. Sorry but that is guff about Toyota and high stressed turbo engines. I have owned a few and they were well built, and they are doing cracking 1.3 & 1.6 ones at present in a very desirable model.
  20. Doh, sorry missed that line on the Warranty. So if buying the car you would want the Seller to put a 12 month warranty on it now if it can get a Valid Skoda one. One Skoda would not reject. ? Was the repair work already done under some WARRANTY, because then a warranty could still apply on that work if a Warranty Underwriter paid for the work..
  21. That is the reality. Many will buy / finance used cars that are in at dealers now with high asking / buying prices and even get a good trade in value on their car. What a shame for those that get landed with some of the stuff from Skoda / VW that owners are sick to the teeth right now. Dodge 1.5 TSI's of a certain age, ones with dodgy DQ200's and bang up to date Octavia / Superbs with Software / Hardware that Skoda / VW Group are totally failing month after month to get fit for purpose. The Motoring Press / Media should maybe be discussing this but Heycar / Honest John or Haymarket Media Group so What Car / Autocar are not going to be the ones to do it.
  22. That is what you get with the German Car Manufacturers. Great Reputations, not actually deserved. If everything in the World was as reliable as a Golf then we would be where we are now. Articles with the data / statistics from the Warranty Providers show that German Engines and some of those might French in German cars have the greatest failures out of the Manufacturers Warranty. Along with JLR that is. https://www.allcarleasing.co.uk/blog/are-german-cars-better https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/consumer-news/62383/german-cars-among-worst-engine-failures
  23. Welcome to the forum. Is there a Skoda Main Dealers 2 year parts and labour warranty covering the engine work? How long is their work guaranteed. ? Is it a private seller or a Trader / Dealer that gives you some sort of protection as in 'Fit for Purpose.' ? If a dud they will be repairing or taking it back. ? What about the rest of the car and servicing. What are the Brakes, Tyres, Windscreen etc etc like. As in is the car perfect and nicely presented and not Joyed up with Tyre Shine etc.
  24. Is that service history showing the spark plugs as having been changed and the brake fluid? Check the tyre pressures before driving it.
  25. ^^^ Which is the car holding the gear change to a high rpm. A kickdown or 2 in D should get the car shifting and then you can bring the stick back to S to decelerate or use the regen when we are talking iV or etec.
