  1. It is pretty simple as in the VW Group were caught out with the WLTP & RDE2 and have not managed to have efficient and low emission ICE vehicles. So they need the Mild Hybrids & Plug In's until the total demise of their ICE vehicle productions. The 1.5TSI needed so much messing about that they are having issues, even in the Kushaq in India that they have just released. *You can not keep saying driver error, it stalls / cuts out because they do not know how to drive and must adapt to the car.* They need Auto's & Mild Hybrids & they need to get people buying their EV's. They need to get building them quicker as well. They are always coming up with new tech, years too late though or not enough R&D is done before launch.
  2. A 2011 L&K as advertised.
  3. Real world as in Forfar & roonandaboot (Scotland) the area today with ambient temp showing from 20-23*oC. I have bopped about today and done 40 miles so far. (Going away tomorrow and will need a couple of charges during the day.) First attempt to charge at my nearest single charger and it is as has been for more than 10 days, starts and then cuts out. The AC works. Called CPS as i have several times in the past 10 days. They will raise a ticket, get maintenance, somehow they have no record of my reports or others. So an hour ago i was passing Forfars new Hub with 4 rapids. 7 vehicles were on them and charging DC or AC. None had logged in to ZapMap or Plugshare. So 100 yards up to the original Rapid at Angus house. Not cooked by the sun, only 1 rapid and only me on it. Plugged into the 50 kWH charger for 30 minutes. I had 66% battery and 62 miles range showing on arrival and having plugged in and charger starting. Left the drivers seat to unplug with 86% battery and 87 miles range showing on the car. That is what you get with Free Charging, crap chargers. *The Charger shows 87% Battery though, time from drivers seat to charger.* It is what you might get with PSA / Stellantis vehicles with 50kWh batteries / 45 kWH usable and 50 kWh Chargers. EDIT. Need to see what the car shows when i get back to it. Phone App 4 miles later from coming off the charger is showing 85% Battery & 86 mile range. It might after a good few miles at under 50 mpg get to showing 100 miles range, then again it might not.
  4. There is a recent thread in the Wheel section and others over the years. Briskoda has a good search facility.
  5. Pictures from my Step Son who is working on the Queensferry Crossing.
  6. Threads in the General Automotive chat section. News articles are quite clear on the 2011 date. As it is with GTI,s and R,s VW recommended 98 Ron on their FAQ what fuel web page. But the UK only has had 97 or 99 Ron super unleaded for years now. So E5 super unleaded if you want, or E10 it is. https://volkswagen.co.uk/en/need-help/need-help-faqs/fuel.html
  7. Yes your car can run on E10 as it is pointed out that all since 2011 had to be able to. There are threads in the General Chat section. A twin chargers is recommended to run on Super Unleaded 98 by VW Group, but it has been 97 or 99 Ron min super unleaded in the UK for years now and no 98 Super as shown on the filler flap. Esso super unleaded E5 in the UK does not have Ethanol in it for some UK areas. I loved ethanol. If I could run pure ethanol I would. Love Tesco Momentum 99 E5,. Worth every penny, and it is not many pennies a litre more than Tesco 95 Ron E10, not even £2.50. Tank fill extra. https://www.volkswagen.co.uk/en/need-help/need-help-faqs/fuel.html
  8. 1st September and the RAC spokesperson on the media does not want to be very specific on anything to do with E10 other than to say check the Government Website on if to your petrol vehicle will be OK on E10. As to the other stuff on economy , performance etc you might have expected that the RAC would be the ones that would be doing real world comparisons. ?does E10 being the petrol that will commonly be available really mean there is going to be a reduction in emissions at anything of the tonnage that News Presenters are talking about which will have been given out by Government employees?

E-Niro & Kona are rather poor for adults climbing in and out of the rear. That is real world, not Bloggers / Vloggers & Motoring Journalists type testing, that is how it is for adults. Wind deflectors are great for when sitting and not steaming up. Heated seat and steering wheel as well if they operate when not driving or plugged in. ......,...... My friend David Young was there at the start of the EV Taxi Fleet in Dundee. Sadly he is no longer with us. He is very much responsible for how Dundee is Electric City as far as EV's go. Plenty taxis about. Just pointing out the need for keeping the car and you comfortable inside. Bottom vid @ 10 mins 30 seconds. 2015
  10. There are those that might not know about Kushaq's in India. https://www.carblogindia.com/skoda-kushaq-epc-issue-zac-hollis I see mention of a 1 litre, not a 1.5 having issues. This one does have 1.5TSI. https://www.team-bhp.com/news/new-skoda-kushaq-2021-observations-after-1-day-driving There is at least one Briskoda member with one. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/496861-parts-interchangability-between-kushaq-india-and-kamiq From the middle link.
  11. This shows the most popular by the numbers produced and delivered in 2021 so far so that will be what people wanted, and in some cases not enough of what some want so they are waiting for more to be built and delivered. https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/press-releases/strong-first-half-of-the-year-skoda-auto-significantly-increases-operating-profit-and-revenue
  12. It is rather strange with Skoda that they seem to be rather pleased with themselves in how many vehicles they have manufactured and delivered in the first half of 2021. https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/press-releases/strong-first-half-of-the-year-skoda-auto-significantly-increases-operating-profit-and-revenue

We will see what we see as the OP will be charging at times in the cold. A 50 kWh charger like an InstaVolt is good for 30 minutes of charging. But some of the crap ones on the Charge Place Scotland are no better than being on an AC charger. @classic have you sat in your car in cold winter weather yet when not driving or charging and have you kept the heating on to keep the interior warm? 6 x 10 hour shifts and 150 miles in a shift is 15 miles driving per hour.
  14. If '34F7' was done since early 2014 on the DSG there is a sticker in the spare tyre well or there should be. No matter if not done or if it was the DSG is still working 7 years on from the Service Campaign being called. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions If the mechanic never picked up on any noises or issues with the engine then you can just cross your fingers. eg.

No problem but it will need some management in the coldest of weather. Much depends on how warm you want to be and how much sitting around you will do, but getting plugged in to charge during the day will help. Not that 30 minutes on a 50kWh charger will be adding much in cold weather.
  16. @Bill65 I feel for you. They were bad enough when Gordon is a moron stalker the showrooms, they are worse now. Did you ask to have the car put on Fixed Service intervals and not left on Variable? It left the factory and got to them set at 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles. If it shows an Inspection Service due that is their error, and if an Oil change due that was them at it. I suggest you put your car no place near Parks Hamilton, any Parks branches. Henrys are not perfect but better than Parks, which is easy to do. Skoda should make things clear. They have websites but even Skoda UK Customer Services can not read or comprehend. If you want Annual / Fixed Servicing then opt for that. http://volkswagen.co.uk/en/owners-and-drivers/servicing/service-plans/service-schedules.html Example, not a recommendation. https://iautouk.com/service/car-servicing/skoda-servicing/skoda-longlife-servicing
  17. Production is not being completed on the 1/3rd so it is not 1/3rd of the usual production numbers being delivered to customers. Oddly Skoda seem very pleased with how many cars they delivered in the first half of 2021. Were there vehicles already produced pre 2021 that assisted in that? https://skoda-storyboard.com/en/press-releases/strong-first-half-of-the-year-skoda-auto-significantly-increases-operating-profit-and-revenue Maybe they are doing so well that customers and low first registrations are not a concern as long as the average emissions is low enough to not have financial penalties imposed.
  18. @M3RT Best if someone familiar with these cars could go with you, someone familiar not only with the engines but the DSG. You need to be aware of potential issues with the Euro 5 1.8TSI engines. Hopefully all is well. Maybe even work has been done on the engine, but evidence of that would be good. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/266114-18tsi-engine-failures Also the DQ200 DSG. It possibly needed and got a oil change from Synthetic Oil to Mineral & Software Update sometime since 2014. this is '34F7'.
  19. @Waza Welcome. You will need to share the miles done, what engine & gearbox you have. Petrol or Diesel. Manual or DSG. If a 1.4TDI check the pinned thread at top of the section.
  20. I would give this one a miss. No point going this big and heavy and RWD IMO.
  21. Welcome. Hopefully someone will be along to help.
  22. They have been flogging their own additive for years and the standard is just the same as others manufacture or retail. There were issues in the past with Warranty claims being declined because of the use of additives, but that was cleared up since VW's were the same product. But then they do try stuff on.
  23. When reading the 'Owners Manual' & the Warranty concerning additives, remember Skoda / VW Group have Additives that are sold and that at a service you will be asked if you want a Fuel Treatment done.
  24. Welcome. People are getting delivery dates of March for some vehicles. You are going to have to be quick to find cars that are going to be built and available or are in the UK. Dealers need to be honest if they really do not know what they can get by when. Or if there if there is no way of knowing.
  25. Now people in the UK that keep accurate record of their petrol cars consumption all year round and year after year of using E5 will be able to continue keeping their record with E10. Not going to be that complicated for those that know how many miles per litre of fuel they normally get, and how that can change by season and even the direction of travel like where a trip might be more down hill than up, like if you head from the countryside to the sea side, and then have to leave the seaside and travel inland. Not many places in the UK where you can drive are below sea level.
