  1. 'Brake fluid' is Hygroscopic. The test is for water in it.
  2. It was Minor & Major year about, then Interim & Major, time about. Then Oil Inspection Service and Extended Scope. & now Fixed Servicing at 12 months / 9,600 miles or Flexible / Variable at 18,000-20,000 miles. Then as to different places, anyone guess. This is not that accurate.
  3. You have your fantasies and i will just stick to what i see here on a regular basis. Not so much roadside, but in their driveway or at the Filling Stations / Supermarkets which are pretty busy with people adjusting pressures even at 50 pence or £1.00 Even more using the Windscreen wash top up as well.
  4. If you go for a petrol from after 2018 there is a GPF and it about time now that we might hear how much GPF replacements might cost. Plenty will never have an issue but there will be the ones that will.
  5. @Gerrycan Yes, because of winters. Maybe just more in Scotland because they go Ski-ing, to the hills etc and travel on roads with snow or ice and then have days of the sun and warmth. I do think that down south in the UK there is less adjusting of tyre pressures, even among the Emergency Services / Police.
  6. The engine can not create more oil, it can just be diluted with Diesel. That used to be an injector issue, now commonly & sadly a Regen issue.
  7. There are other threads posted on the same thing.
  8. Well plenty do adjust tyre pressures to suit loads carried and weather, wet, cold etc. If bothering about a few MPG up or down for fuel then worth it. Maybe not that noticeable day to day, but drive a EV and you will soon see how tyre pressures can affect efficiency. As weather does, and also road types / surfaces in different regions of the UK.
  9. The DVLA which is an 'Executive Agency' of the DfT & costs us plenty anyway and Bonus Payments for performance to heid yins, even if the DVLA performance is rubbish.
  10. Here we go again. UK Media warning people in Scotland that it might be cold in the 2nd week of February.
  11. Yes, but maybe change them if a named storm is coming in to the South of the UK and low temperatures for a week. Then further north during winter there is a 22 Degree C change in 24 hours a little change of pressure in the All-terrains might be Simply Clever. Cordless Air pump, and pressure gauge is Much Cheapness, and no effort.
  12. A young fiend in Austrias work vehicle.
  13. Set tyre pressures cold. as at the outside ambient temperature. 'Winter' is a season. Different through the months Nov/ Dec, to March / April in the UK. Some weeks and months in various locations can have very different average day and night temperatures. Devon vs Aviemore vs Thurso.
  14. Is it built as to your order, and is it ready for importing to the UK? ? How are they going to get the £1,250 from you, are they intending taking you to court?
  15. Uet another helpful and informative video from the Briskoda member..
  16. @nextsep17 In 2009/10 Skoda never gave a Service Schedule for the Tiptronic gearbox and a ATF change. What does it show now as being due? 80,000 or 100,000 miles.
  17. Is it Front Fog Lights. Or are they maybe DRL's / Daytime / Daylight Running Lights?
  18. @DasSkoda You have left us to guess what Superb it is and what tyre size.
  19. Really the plugs need looked at then. Not just looked at the gap checked on all 4.
  20. At least the rev limiter is just in neutral. Muppets around my way in their Fiestas are on the rev limiter as the boot it along the 20 mph limit road. So very very sporty.
  21. Are you filling up with E5? Lots of people reporting Misfires. Down England way. I take it it is still Winter Spec E10 that filling stations in the south are getting & as prices have gone up not some stuff that has been at sea in tankers before reaching UK shores.
  22. Check the drain holes on the bottom of the doors. The seals can cover them, keeping water in the door. ? Does the passenger door get open regularly because if not there might be water trapped in there? Check the spare tyre well for water. Put a couple of damp traps in the car / boot. Get the windows open a bit when the weather dry / sun out.
