1.5 SEL first gear issue.
Was that at 4 year? Unless you were watching them actually replaced I would check the plugs and see what the gap is at now.

Citigo self serviced - very satisfying
Indeed, have the correct tool for the job is the best plan. Not all do when they go to do a job. Plug sockets with rubber surrounds or magnetic as re fandabbydozzy but if someone is buying they need to remember for some vehicles they need thin walled ones. I have all the gear but still put the plugs down the hole on the end of a rubber pipe.

A safe way of putting in new plugs and reducing the chance of cross threading is a length of rubber pipe / hose. You just push onto the plug and start off the plug this way.

@apple_pie Well worth posting in the Octavia section as really a 2015 Euro 5 or 6 1.2 TSI having issues is unrelated to those that came with a Euro 6 1.5TSI. ? How many miles has your car done and has it had new spark plugs fitted. It could maybe do with new ones even though no 'Misfires' are being logged.

Octavia boiling
Welcome to the forum. Please explain. Is this a petrol or diesel? Was the 40,000 mile engine from a write off? Was it without a water pump, or have you fitted a new one or what? What did you change about the Turbo?

Briski cyclists?!
I put my young lads trials bike back together with a set of wheels i had sitting as the ones he last rode it with 20 years ago are not fit for purpose. I gave it a wee ride but really it needs to go to someone that will appreciate what it is and that will fit suitable wheels. Might try flogging it at a Bike Festival for what the frame cost 25 years ago, let alone the Middleburn cranks, titanium BB and Maguras.

Seems low. What about advertising on Briskoda and selling private? Check what WBAC are offering and you know it is worth a good bit more than that as they will be giving less unless the car is perfect and then it is going to have an Asking Price at a Car Supermarket / Dealers £1,500 or so more. There are some on Autotrader with asking prices less than £1,000 more than you are being offered.- Jonny Smith Late Brake Show youtube vids, some are Interviews and many will be on other stuff transport related.
- Skoda Kodiaq does not fall under the fixed pricing servicing?
Now there is the All in Servicing. 2 year Service package. 3-6 year old cars, includes the Warranty. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/494242-all-in-from-skoda-2-year-service-package- Skoda Kodiaq does not fall under the fixed pricing servicing?
The Skoda Fixed Price Servicing & Maintenance @ Participating dealerships is on cars 3-10 year old on Fixed Service Intervals. Air filter changed to 6 years / 60,000 miles instead of at 4 years / 40,000 miles which was the 2nd Major Service. Obviously it should be checked at each service. Now with the new scheme that would be the Extended Service each 3 years at least.- E-bike
It is ages since i have ridden my big bike and i had kind of forgotten just how smooth and quick it is. It has loads of power, but i had forgotten that it was time for yet another chain & cassette as it does consume them far too quickly.- Cherished number: dealership using number plate for 'free' advertising
@EvilIn the UK it is not having the identification of those that made the plates. So BSU standard number & name or trade mark of maker and name or postcode of the supplying outlet. Plenty about without, but then they are not 'legal'.- Service changes needed at 80k miles
Lots depends on what has been done at previous services, and importantly what engine, gearbox and drive-train the car has.- Wheels and Studs - Mk1 and Mk2
Mk3 Fabia can come with the option of 18" rims. There have never been 19" rims on Mk1, Mk2 or Mk3 Fabia's as as option. There was never 18" rims as an Option on Mk1 or Mk2 Fabia. They do fit. Audi A1's could have 18" Rims as an option.- Fabia mk4 launch 6pm today (4th May) with launch details
People will actually buy or lease them and if not enough do then Skoda / VW Group will be Registering them and getting them out there. They will do deals with Utility Companies, Fleets, NHS etc. They will be owned by VW Group and then sold as Used / Ex Management. Skoda need low Average C02 g/km figures and also there are people that like the KISS. There is no Citigo anymore and the Citigo iV was more about spin than actually getting sales. They got a couple of quarters with the 400 Zero Emissions Citigo iV's registered in the UK and then that was that.- E-bike
I had a rear puncture on the Orbea and removing the rear wheel is not simple or quick. I have a 'slime' tube in now. Getting used to it now and using less assist unless required and getting more range from it now in pretty hot weather. I have not decided yet if i am buying a 'Range extender' battery for it yet. It just tops up the main battery when it is not being used so i might not bother. The bike rides OK without using the Motor.- Correct oil for 2021 Superb?
Yes the recommended oil & the oil in from the factory is 0w 20 FS IV, so that is to VW508 00 / 509 00 You might want when servicing it to go to VW 504 00 / 507 00, so the 5w 30 FS III. some dealers are using 0w 30 FS III- Does anyone else own an electric Citigo?
Without an Onboard 11kW charger then it is not possible in theory or in-practice to charge @ a phase 3 supply. There is no 11kW charger built in. So just phase 3 to 7.2kW.- DSG noise
Older CAVE / CTHE 1.4 TSI with DQ200's so 2009-2014 produced 250Nm and so did 2015 1.8TSI 192ps Polo GTI DSG (But the manual got 320Nm, both did the same acceleration.) Plenty with remaps are running them with 320Nm or so. The DQ200 DSG were used in 48 VW Group Applications and all power outputs or applications are not running the same mapping. They are fitted to engines from 69ps to 192ps.- EPC and engine light- on again after repair...pi
Hopefully someone here can help. There is no such thing with Skoda as 'Full Services', they called them Minor / interim or Major. That is glorified Oil & Filter Changes. Extras cost extra, and you get asked what you want or maybe they do stuff and do not ask. This is the Skoda 3-10 year Service items as 'Recommended', but do not assume that at a Service they are done you need to see the Invoice / Bill.- EPC and engine light- on again after repair...pi
OK. So it needs the Fault Codes read if there are any. The place that did the work will need to check more as they guarantee their work. How many miles has the car done, and has the services been anything more than Oil & Filter changes. When did it get new spark plugs. or has it needed and had ignition coils replaced.- EPC and engine light- on again after repair...pi
Ok so a Mk2 Fabia. But what engine, Petrol or Diesel and what size. Manual or DSG? If a Fabia Mk2 vRS then you will see threads in the past 2 weeks in the first pages here that will give you some sort of idea.- EPC and engine light- on again after repair...pi
Welcome to the forum. You will need to actually say which Car as in Engine & Gearbox. ? As it had servicing and maintenance, and consumables replaced, and how many miles and how long have you had the car? ? Was there no Fault Codes when the were doing the diagnosis. Is that because they have not got the correct equipment? ? So was there no repair. Did they just clear Fault Codes that they did not know what they were indicating was the probable issue?- Fabia Vrs remap
Truth of the matter was that there were the Fundamental Design, Manufacturing and material issues with the CAVE and then the CTHE, and yet the APR stage 1 & stage 2 remaps were just fine and REVO's was just pure crap. Members here had issues, had issues with the REVO Dealers and with REVO and the threads are now no longer on here because the Members had to take legal advice and proceed that way. In all the CAVE & CTHE threads like those pinned i posted the link to REVO & the 'warning'. Then for a while that went AWOL from the websites. I gave the same warning to not expect a remap to short a faulty engine, and that a REVO map could be very costly. A Remap did save many an engine from the crap OEM engine management / MAP from the Factory, the one VW Group kept trying to improve with the CAVE several times then after the CTHE was launched. At one point i had the REVO Stage 1 on a car because a friend was considering becoming a REVO Dealer and he would not believe me how poor their Stage 1 was so i had the APR map in an ECU but the REVO map on another and they were like night and day in the difference. REVO wrote a crap remap. There is Part 1 & then Part 2 to read and look at 'Tuning' / Upgrading. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/421365-links-to-lucifers-ultimate-guide-to-14-tsi-twincharger-engines Back when the CAVE was in the Fabias for 1 year. They had been in the Ibiza from a year before the Fabia. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/206191-remap-for-mk2-vrs See the last link by @vRSyposted 12th July 2011. - 2019 citigo se part-x value
