Citigo - convert 4-seater into "cargo" version?
Welcome to the forum. Just do as this member has with their Yeti. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/486314-yeti-commercial It looks like a pretty easy project to buy a suitable size Dog Guard or Bulk head grill that you can find at an online Auction Site and 2 pieces of Fibre Board or Ply Wood that you can get cut at a DIY Warehouse type place when you but a board and they do 2 cuts for you, then cover with suitable carpet / carpet tiles or rubber that you get at DIY Warehouse places or online. A grill must be available cheaper than this one @ £155 in the UK.

An important thing is that the Engineers / Engineering Designers have Screens / Filters because there is a need to Screen or Filter stuff. That really means that Screens or Filters require cleaning or replacing. At a Skoda / VW Group Approved Repairer just ask when getting the work done to the 'Manufacturers Recommendations' if they are Cleaning or Replacing Screens or Filters and if not is that keeping the Manufacturers Warranty Valid? They can even put on the Invoice / receipt if they have not actually cleaned or replaced the Screen or Filter. After all their work should be guaranteed for 2 years parts and labour. It is required to be done for Manufacturers Warranties and Extended Warranties. OEM parts and Fluids, work done in Accordance with the Manufacturers Recommendations. If £110 at a VW Group / Skoda Approved Workshop is not getting the job done properly then that is really not 'Simply Clever'. Sadly it is the case that Skoda Main Dealerships are doing half arses jobs regularly for customers who want proper servicing and maintenance on keepers. (Not just some Lease vehicle they are handing back and then some person buys as a Used car with FMDSH, a FMDSH with a history of half arsed servicing work.)- DSG query
Sorry and not wanting to start another debate or argument. But those in a vehicle with a DQ200 DSG should maybe go try, Car stopped, put across the manual and 1st gear and floor the throttle, and do not change gear, and some will change up to save the box. Everyone i have driven does. Actually with DQ200's i did this often for 'Sprint Starts' 1/4 miles etc. Not just with my cars but often with 'Demonstrators'. Never raced or rallied, just timed in different ways. In D, in S, in Manual and shifting & in Manual and forcing the car to shift. (Some best just done until 4th then knock the shifter to D and then let the box do the upshifts, it can be quicker than in S. Remember that Wet Clutch DSG's can behave different from Dry Clutch DSG's and also Wet or Dry can behave differently with different cars, engine and if Petrols or Diesels, and if Petrol ACT / COD's different again. PS Sprinting / Standing starts with a DQ200 are a bit better with a Manual Parking (hand) brake as you can hold it on that rather than the foot brakes which can cause a slight delay when trying to get off the line. As in Foot on brake and to accelerator or Left Foot on Brake and right on Accelerator. As for e-Brakes they spoil things altogether really. PPS, e-Brake, Autohold the greatest thing since sliced bread for normal driving, & when not wanting to be hooning, doing J turns etc- North East 250. Scotland.
If driving an EV doing the NE-250 or just in the Area of Banff or Macduff then Rapid Charging in Banff is very much the luck of the draw if working or available when you need to charge, as is Macduff. So be aware and check before you arrive or count on getting charged. There is more slow charging available around and about. Autocar have an article taking a Porsche Taycan around the NE250, or parts of it. (Charge place Scotland does have an App capable of unlocking chargers at some locations, and you can phone the number on the chargers, The CYC App, 'Charge Your Car'. that is a lottery how long before you get an answer if you do, and that is if you get reception on your phone.) https://autocar.co.uk/car-news/features/tackling-north-east-250-five-star-porsche-taycan Doing it in an Enyaq will be interesting and maybe charging in Perth or Blairgowrie if starting on the A93, and maybe not needing to charge again until Brechin or Forfar. Worth doing the route from Aberdeen or Stonehaven to Banchory or Aboyne and then over the Cairn O' Mouth (Mount) to Fettercairn then Edzell & back to the A90.- Front differential service VRS 245
@varaderoguy Say that then, there are plenty warning on having Haldex serviced, but it can be a location location location thing, how and where cars are used. London and the Scottish Borders can make a Difference as can London or Serbia. So no point letting people think the Manufacturers recommendations is 20,000 miles. (It was with Volvo.) Then no point mixing the Front Diff / Rear Diif / Haldex & VAQ. that is 4 different items that require servicing at periods of time / miles (km)- Front differential service VRS 245
Lets clear up the rear first. It was 4 years / 40,000 miles then 3 years / 30,000 miles and VW have never said 20,000 miles for the Haldex. (Volvo are clear on what they recommend.) But this thread is about the front. Not all with Haldex have VAQ, but those that do need servicing. So the VAQ. Do not let the Internet or Service desk staff confuse. Talk to a VW Master Tech. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/468889-vaq-diff-service http://briskoda.net/450692-vaq-servicing-requirements-oil-change http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/450692-vaq-servicing-requirement-oil-change http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/458105-vrs-230-electro-mechanical-diff- Tyre Pressure Fabia III
The total Diameter / Radius might well have changed a bit. First off the tyres coming off were a bit worn i assume. (I know you should never assume.) The new ones are not. Then tyres can be marked 213/45 R 16, but put a tape measure around different brands / types / season of tyres and the tape can tell the tale that not are all equal. As to the GPS and the Speedo, lets assume again that the GPS is probably pretty accurate and the speedo does as nearly all do on OEM tyre sizes which is over read as in the speedo says you are doing 70 mph when actually you are at 67 mph.- New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
It p155es me right off when things look like they should be simple and they fall at the first hurdle which often starts by not being able to sign into your account. It is as bad as having to use a 'Phone App' when the chargers are in a location with crap phone reception, then when you find an are with receptions near the charger you are trying to use the 'Call Centre' is not answering.- Ask Skoda to pay for a journey to have warranty work done?
Dealership staff depending on seniority are driving nice Fully Loaded Demonstrators for a minimum of 3 months / 3,000 miles with the Dealership getting a nice profit with the sale of these as Used /Ex Management cars. No wonder they do not want many plebs that are possible customers taking them out for a hoon and taking the newness off them. It matters not that is why the HMRC so the general public are assisting them in getting a better profit. No point these cars being given willingly to those that have actually spent their hard earned money by buying a vehicle (a faulty vehicle) and helping Skoda UK & Dealerships stay in business.- The Fabia vRS Review and Photo thread

Welcome to the forum. @robert125 My first idea is that you should go to see a mechanic that can get your car on a ramp and see that all is well with the job you paid Halfords to do. ? Has the DSG had oil changes 3 or 4 times already and the Haldex much the same done?- 1.5 SEL first gear issue.
@apple_pie so would i consider them fresh after 1,2000 km, but to be sure to be sure i would be checking them. 20 minutes whipping them out & then replacing and that is the end of that and move on to what the next thing to check is.- overheating roomster
OK. Are you sure then that the engine / coolant is overheating and that it is not a sensor giving a false warning/ I expect you are from opening the bonnet and feeling heat, seeing steam or something else. It will need a diagnosis by a mechanic and if one not available then a Skoda Dealership tech might do.- sump plug washer size anyone?
Bl00dy hell some people are really raking in the dosh these days if people are stupid enough to give them their hard earned cash. Or maybe they rake in money with what ever their trade or profession is.- overheating roomster
@buggsymo Welcome to the forum. What temp is the Gauge showing that the coolant is getting to and how soon after starting off does it get to an indicated 90*oC, then how high does it go? Sorry if no help but you best have the car looked at by a mechanic. They will have to diagnose why it is overheating. Hopefully a minor issue easily rectified. ? Have you checked the coolant and if so does it sit between MIN & MAX and is it a pinkish colour?- Buying and selling an Octavia with least loss of value
If your wear glasses take them with you and maybe a mate that knows about cars. ? Are the Alloys kerbed or have they been touched up / refurbished. Are all 4 tyres good and matching in make or at least a pair at the front & rear matching. Is there an unused spare in the boot or even a used one? ? Is the windscreen chipped, tiny chips. Is the car body perfect, as in touched up / and panels painted, is it all original. Has the 2 year old car had 1 service already, or has it had 2 service, are they doing any servicing for the sale? Did it get a new pollen filter at the last service? ? What is the Record on the VW / Skoda system for Servicing & Maintenance & any Warranty Work or Service Campaigns.- McLaren seized in Southport car meet, Superb police cars it seems !
Which can lead to being stopped by Officers of the Law when their ANPR shows up a vehicle that looks like it does not match the Registration Plate. But then that is how it has been for a long time in the UK. If your wrap is on for more than just a few days for the likes of a show, or there is just part of the body colour changed it is dead simple to have the V5 changed for as long as the car is the colour it is.- Are all Karoq 2.0tdi 4x4?
Apples and pears being compared here. No point comparing Wet Clutch DSG's on bigger / heavier or more powerful engines with 1.0,1.2,1.4,1.5 TSI or a 1.6TDI with a DQ200 so 7 gears with 1st just really being there to get off the line and for dropping into when coming to a stop can spin tyres so easily if the engine is a peppy little one or has a bit of go from just a little touch of the accelerator. Then crap tyres or less than hot / dry / good traction surfaces have something to do with things.- sump plug washer size anyone?
A Washer from a Main Dealership should never be £3.50. The Invoice for a replacement Sump Plug with a washer shows it as under £3.00 then there is 20% VAT.- How much gearbox oil
Sorry no idea. But nothing is really sealed for life and VW group seem to think a life time is 8 years or maybe untill the manufacturer's warranty expires. I take it it is a manual box you are asking about. A DQ200 DSG Is supposedly Sealed for life. Well people change the oils in them if they want and VW group did as well when service campaign '34F7' started in 2014 following a world wide recall from 2012 that excluded Europe which is not part of the world. - Front differential service VRS 245
