  1. Skoda concentrate on just the cars and the simply clever stuff and do not go with gimmicks.
  2. Priced much the same if not less than Kodiaq vRS, and less than the most expensive Enyaq, so that will be the customers at the more expensive price point rather than the average.
  3. @harry812 Welcome to the forum. I will flag your post to a Mod and they can move your post to the Superb section.
  4. New Kia Soul only come as EV's now.
  5. The last thing you want if going places with your car full of people or stuff or both is to have to be charging at a charger where you need to plug in your own cable.
  6. Welcome to the forum. vRS Insurance was not particularly expensive for young drivers and was the reason many had them. So it will be to do with you, your location, job etc. ? Will both the named drivers actually be driving or are they there to help bring down the cost? Named drivers with good NCB do not always mean the insurance will be less, so maybe try with just one on the policy, and the one with longest NC might not be the best to keep on the policy.
  7. @KeteCantek Really silly they are or just 'Simply Clever', because not everyone wants a diesel and are fine with a Petrol Car with AWD, and they use 280's. Or Audi's, Merc's etc with petrol & AWD. 'Ours is not to reason why when that is what they use', but i will try! Not every driver wants to use a diesel, especially with AdBlue and DPF when they might well sit for periods with engines running while waiting to pick people up from planes or helicopters at or near terminals, which is what some are doing when collecting oil workers. The slight cost saving of a diesel for the sake of buying fuel and getting better consumption maybe is not there if the car is not going to be cheaper to actually keep on the road. ? Why do you drive a 280 & not a 220 TDI?
  8. Just for the record. The bhp is less than the ps. In the case of 110 ps that is as near as no matter 108.5 bhp
  9. I am like 110kg at the driver's side and the car only goes over speed bumps if I am driving it otherwise the car would be parked. That is unless someone else is driving and they might be lighter than me but go over speed bumps faster than me.
  10. The Calm before tomorrows snow. EDIT. The snow never came to much, but the temp did drop to a nice minus 4.
  11. Welcome to the forum.
  12. Pandemic!
  13. Plenty Superb 280,s used for Airport Transport in Scotland and plenty prestige vehicles used for Private Hire vehicles in Aberdeen.
  14. New Karoq are available in Australia with 1.4 TSI and 8 speed Automatics. People can get lovely cars when parts of the world do not care about the WLTP which is not really Worldwide harmonisation of testing just European manufacturers of vehicles getting away with kidology with both the WLTP and RDE2 figures for some countries around the globe like in Europe.. North America also get 1.4 TSI,s autos from VW without needing to have plug in hybrids.
  15. Maybe @casperladwill come back and tell us if the new tyre and valve resolved the issue as well as resetting the TPMS, or if the rims bead was the issue.
  16. I read that about Bear Grylls in the Cairngorms. Seemingly it had been a long time since he had seen his family so they were in the Hilton @ Colyumbridge. @wyx087 On BBC Reporting Scotland they just showed the route right up the Americas. http://pluginadventure.com
  17. @wyx087What will the incompatibility be between since we do not know what he will be driving?
  18. Many that cycle or walk around the world need to get on some form of boat. Human powered around the world would be some challenge. Jenny Grahame who has the record for the 'Fastest Woman to Cycle Round the World' or 'Woman who cycled around the world fastest' needed to do at least 18,000 miles, but with ferries and flights had to exceed 24,900 miles.
  19. He says today when speaking to the media that the arrangements for charging will be revealed later as will the vehicle. Quite possibly solar charging & wind turbine charging. Then maybe strategically placed Mobile Units for charging where there were none before as Audi did when filming how to travel through several countries in 24 hours. (Using facilities those not with Audi had no access to. On the radio today they kept calling it an Electric Car even though it seems that it will be a Pick-Up truck. Saying it would need extended arches to get appropriate tyres fitted..... Arctic Trucks certainly have plenty of experience of preparing suitable vehicles for such environments. From last year.

  21. FMDSH. / Full Main Dealer Service History. So what does the service history show, does it show to the manufacturers recommendations. ie DSG serviced @ 40,000 miles (so next due @ 80,000 miles.) Was the Haldax Service done @ 3 years (2020) Was the brake fluid changed @ 3 Years? When were the spark plugs changed?
  22. Really, well i never. But then i actually do. When checking oil at operating temp before the job is done i always put a little oil at the top of a tube before returning the dipstick and have for over 50 years. Funnily the dipsticks always come out. Re the cross hatch, it does help see where the oil is on it, but actually when the oil is not needing topped up you should not see the cross hatch.
  23. @JamesgilliesWelcome to the forum. Have you ever used Bitz Garage? Maybe worth a try. A Full Main Dealer Service History will be interesting. Was any of that at Arnold Clark Inverness by chance. Over the 11 years has the Haldex had the service first in 2014 when they were doing them at 4 years / 40,000 miles, and was the next time 3 years later and then 3 years later again. The premium fuel you use will make little difference and neither will what previous owners used.
  24. @Cheapas That is an Old Skool ATS Euromaster where they have the gear and more than just an idea and the staff stay working for years and years and can be fully trusted.
  25. @OctaviaFirstEdit Have you checked and set the tyre pressures of the Kamiq they handed over? It might help the rattles, and the pressure their workshop sends cars out with might give an idea of how they deal with stuff at that dealership & how important customer safety is dealt with. Re wiring issues. I wonder if they intend taking in the ID3 & ID4 with switches that do not work and functions with glitches that customers think will be dealt with eventually with software updates
