NEW SKODA KODIAQ 2021
So financial benefits for business users in the UK just as long as that use for business or pleasure use does not require towing anything with some weight like a car transporter with a car on it.

DSG gearbox malfunction warning light. Cause?
@RedSkoda2 There are similar threads in the Citigo section worth reading. Sadly the issue is one that Skoda / VW Dealers are not dealing with very well. It is not a DSG in the Citigo. ie Twin Dry Clutch 7 speed. It is an ASG.

Scala SEL checklist on start-up
Once VW Group poor Lane Assist or other Safety Devices poorly executed start being the cause of accidents and deaths or life changing incidents we will hear about it from Insurers and Motoring Organisations and likely the media in countries where courts can tear VW a new one. This winter in the UK once there are more ploughed and partially cleared roads might be when those that leave on Lane Assist might be getting into trouble. Where you are trying to cross a snow ice covered strip into the next lane or side of the road.

Yeti 1.4tsi 150
The different 1.4 TSI's mentioned here have nothing to do with the 150 ps mentioned for the YETI. No issuse. Then there never was a 'double turbo'. 1.4TSI. There were Twin Chargers / Dual Chargers, which have a Turbo & a Supercharger and were in various VW Group Vehicles globally but only in Skoda in the form of the Mk2 Fabia vRS.

DSG gearbox question
When in a phone people might not see what car the OP shows as having so those reading and answering are left answering in general. If asking about a particular DSG maybe an idea to say what your engine and gearbox / DSG your car has. Nothing to do with Wet Clutch DSG's, when talking about no Oil Changes needed, just service on schedule or sooner, 6 or 7 speed wet clutch DSG's. Then nothing is sealed for life. If you want to change it. & it is the DQ200 DSG that VW did a world wide recall on excluding Europe and changed the oil from Synthetic to Mineral. There are drain plugs and fill plugs.
-
DSG gearbox question
The DQ200 DSG / 7 speed twin dry clutch has 2 oils in. In the box and in the MCU. No service schedule or interval for changing on them. Not 40,000 or any other amount of miles. That does not mean they can not have the Oil Changed as some do and as some Dealerships wrongly tell you is due. The wet clutch DSG's are showing as the Schedule Change at 40,000 miles with Skoda, VW & SEAT, Audi say 38,000 mile.

Cam belt change time
Might say brakes 70% worn, but then dealerships can say the same at 2 or 3 years old. That is a change for 80% worn regardless of if true or not. ? How has the spare gone to 2.5mm, is it a used tyre that went in the car at 2.5 mm or is it wearing without ever going on the car? The Fixed price Service and maintenance menu for cars 3-10 year old no linger gives the crazy prices that main dealerships might ask for Disc and pads replacement. Cambelt Diesel £449. Petrol £479. What matters is the engines where you want to be doing the belt and the pump rather than those where you might not. Diesel Cambelt and waterpump £549.

Kodiaq oil change
@ZacDaMan72 As you quoted what i posted you will see the start number is '18,000 miles there. That is near enough the 30,000 km figure. So if that is as far as you get km to get up to when in Imperial the indicators can let it be as much as 20,000 miles & near 32,000 km. Same oil same engines and just one of these VW Group things. Only the Citigo were put out in recent years without the choice of Variable /Flexible servicing.

Scala SEL checklist on start-up
It is damn good at showing you how often you might let your vehicle wander off to that other lane and the last thing you will hear is a child screaming look out.
-
Kodiaq oil change
A Kodiaq has a service interval of once a year only if it has been put on a Fixed Service interval of 372 days 15,000 km, otherwise on variable it is @24 months or the distance. 18,000 - 20,000 miles. Or whatever in km.
-
Facelift Kodiaq
Warning is spy shots are set up by Skoda VW. Then when arriving in the UK is anyone's guess.

Scala SEL checklist on start-up
@longedge nearly putting you in the ditch no more counts than nearly losing your leg. If it never happened no point putting in a claim. I assume since getting the car home safely you have learned when Lane assist is suitable to use and when not. Every day is a school day.
-
Kodiaq oil change
Considering it is a pretty good idea and getting it done as well if you own the car. And the Haldex needs serviced at 3 years or sooner and the brake fluid at 3 years if going by Skoda's recommendations.

When Lane assist puts anyone into a ditch they might post on here telling us.

1.8TSI and 2.0TSI engine failures
The issues were with Euro 5 emission engines. Euro 6 & 6d emission engines can have their own problems as time passes, but time has to pass before they are discovered.

Gearbox treacle
Changing the gearbox oil seems like a very good first move. That is why there are drain and fill plugs on things as they really are not filled for life, well not actually for ever and ever and ever. ? Have you had the car from new so know the oil has been in since 2010, or could it have had a service previously and with who knows what?

Couple of questions, SS & ext mirrors related.
^^^ Correct, the ambient temp can be at freezing or a few degrees lower, the coolant and the engine oil cold, and as long as the battery is at a good charge and the demand on it not high because of heated screen rear screen, radio, lights on and heater desired temp turned up high the engine can stop within feet of having moved and then come to a halt.

Brake noise on new Sportline
The owners manual does tell you about 'driving in new cars'. The new pads and discs are at the thickest they will ever be until they are replaced sometime so use them. Then a little cosmetic rust makes them even closer so clean it off in the first few hundred meters of driving the car, With an e-Brake and not a manual parking / hand brake that is not so easy.

Superb IV improving battery performance
The tank capacity is what it would be if sitting on the ground out of the car. You have the tank filled and then up the pipe. You can brim it and even vent it and bribe some more and get maybe 10 litres more in. Venting a MK2 Fabia 45itre tank easily got 7 litres more in.

1.5 TSİ VİBRATİON
@nidza obviously the 1.5tsi issues are not fixed for those that have collected new cars only in the last couple of months and have been reporting the behaviour not as it should be. But as Skoda will say, fake news. Tell that to those that have the cars though.

Unable to order a Skoda Superb 2.0 TSi 272 L&K
@JayB_UK Welcome to the forum. Is this for delivery to you before the end of the year? Is that at a guaranteed price if there are any changes after December because of Tariffs but not if Skoda change the pricing in 2020?

Should i walk away?
@Rjbell Is it a Skoda Approved Used car and coming with 12 month or a 24 month Warranty? (Remainder of the manufacturers warranty.) ? What other servicing has it had, was it on Fixed / Annual so at 9,400 miles or Variable and Oil & Filter done twice at 18,000-20,000 miles each? What about the Warranty History, has it needed anything, maybe like the Dealership needing to put it to an independent for a new gearbox or anything like that. ? What are the tyres on the car, how are the brakes, do they need new pads or discs? ? Is the windscreen chip free?

Honda New Type R 2015 prices , spec and release dates
If Toyota had one with just 2 pedals i would have my deposit paid right now to have as a keeper. (I don't think a Servo Clutch conversion will be that good an idea for myself.) This has to be one of the last great Icons or Classics of the future that you can get from a dealership at under 40 grand. It is maybe not an investment but it is unlikely to lose you much if selling in a few years, there will be those buying to speculate.

Should i walk away?
Welcome. Main Dealers are nothing special really. Hit or miss who works on your car as it is anyplace. Master Tech, Tech, Apprentice, Fitter or a Mechanical Engineer. If the dealers sales person mentioned a DSG service they must know more as in where done. So just ask if there is an invoice with the car because an Independent servicing the DSG does not void a warranty if VAT registered and using the correct fluids and filter. It is not that uncommon as you will see in Briskoda where there are members that go to independents or DIY because they want to and maybe because they do not trust Skoda Main Dealerships to do much more than an Oil & Filter change, or even to do that correctly and fill to the correct level.
