Leaky Karoq
Welcome to the forum. There are threads in the first page of the Karoq section related to leaking Karoq's or misting inside. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/485720-water-leak-in-offside-front-footwell http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/461611-water-ingress-passenger-footwell http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/474970-water-ingress http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/488212-poor-demisting

poor demisting
@markleeI would put newspapers on the floor to see if you can find and trace of water getting in. & while you are having the issue get a couple of 'Damp Packs' in the car. One in the car and one in the boot. Sometimes what the Dealership prep person uses in the glass is not that great so best clean all the glass again. Also check the doors when you open them and see if there is H20 draining out of them. Check the spare tyre well also.

poor demisting
Welcome. Best discover why there is so much moisture in the car. Are you driving it with the A/C on all the time and making sure no wet clothes or mats are in the car overnight? Best see that water is not getting trapped in the door, like in the passengers door if it is not being opened in the morning. Hopefully no leaks. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/461611-water-ingress-passengers-footwell

Missing our Yeti Urban, did the facelift improve on things like rust and DPF ?
Only more economical in winter when getting run long enough to get the engine up to temp and efficient / economic. Not that economic if the DPF does give issues or the SCR system.

Maybe because people are keeping their FWD petrol Yeti. Actually Skoda were discounting hard and getting the TDI's sold so more out there. 355 Petrol 1.2 TSI manual / dsg 2016/17 Yeti. 99 TDI

17 or 18" Alloys & Tyres Question MK2 VRS
None. But you are going bigger wheels and not going for more Circumference / total diameter when going with the correct profile tyres. The Polo GTI / Audi A1 195ps / SEAT Ibiza Cupra twinchargers have 215/40 R 17 tyres as standard. The Fabia vRS 205/40 R 17. So the sister cars had slightly more circumference with the tyres. EDIT. The cars were heavier with wider tyres and more circumference and yet VW / SEAT had them with a lower tax class / Lower Emissions and better economy and speed. But then VW are proven liars and cheats.. If the circumferences are much the same and the wheel weight there is little difference other than the grip / traction maybe. Going wider with the tyres to 225 makes a difference in the steering feel IME. But then you can set up the alignment and change the steering assist as suits.

downhill/descend assist mode of off-road mode, a bit jerky
Descent assist. Allows you to use the brakes if you want. What other things are you wanting to concentrate on other than actually driving the car. Going off road and descending, feet off pedals let the car take you down controlling the speed. Very different thing. Offroad-Road Mode. Snow Mode. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/487562-offroad-snow-mode

2020 & 21: Warm & Hot Hatch car videos thread.
I wonder about Joe Achilles as a vlogger and were he gets his info. Like @ 4.15. Why has a MINI Electric got have a badge YELLOW or other to tell the fire brigade it is electric if other Electric Cars do not. There is no reason why they can not be deleted. Never heard others saying about EV's becoming more efficient after 15 or 20 charge cycles. I read that about electric bikes. Never found it to be true. Should salespeople being telling us what Joe has.

Cam belt change time
@pastiche Spare wheels / tyres are not part of the MOT hence why never a comment on it.

The thing is that the 1.6 TDI's did have the Defeat Device engine management and then were introduced with SCR (AdBlue) and are now discontinued. Now you get the 2.0TDI's with SCR and different outputs in the latest models.

Oil change after only 450 miles
@mixhouse Did the tech reset the Service Indicator then and there, and what is the car now showing as when the Service / Oil change is due ? The thing is that for the cars Service History the Dealership should have carried out the Oil & Filter change at their expense because of their lax attitude or incompetence.

Kodiaq VRS or Sportline ?
Morrison Motors Turriff have a very nice 4 year old Audi Q7 SQ7 4.0 BiTDi sitting. But are asking £5 short of £45,000. 435bhp. They might have it quite a while at that asking Price. Or it might end up in Glasgow at a dealership that gives finance out very easily.

Kodiaq VRS or Sportline ?
Best idea really is get Skoda /John Clark Aberdeen to give you an extended 2 day test of a 190 ps and a 239 and see how they roll. There are 2 3 year old 190's sitting in Aberdeen that they should be pleased to lend if there is a chance of a customer buying an Ex demo car and especially a vRS.

The DPF might not be an issue for your use, but do you really need a diesel for that short a commute? The SCR system at 5 years old plus might be something to consider. Faults might well be expensive.

Kodiaq VRS or Sportline ?
So for the real world around Aberdeenshire or anyplace in Scotland or the UK decent all weather (All season) tyres on 18" rims makes sense, and in the real world a fully loaded family SUV with 150ps does hack it on 60 mph NSL's and 70 mph dual carriageways. More can be nice though. Aberdeenshire : from the mountains to the sea! and where delivery vans get everywhere as quick as anyone else even fully loaded with front or rear wheel drive and a diesel engine.

Tramping
What is being called axle tramp here happens because the wheels do spin, the TC / ASR nips the brakes and the tyres are also getting grip. Being on the wet you will be getting the wheel spin and not getting the grip to cause the bang.

Kodiaq VRS or Sportline ?
Speed bumps are actually placed to slow vehicles or to have the driver slow down. Maybe those with DCC that needs new dampers are the kind that drive hard at speed bumps because the suspension seems to soak them up.

K&N or cone filter.
The K&N panel filter will not be 'Free Flowing' just a cleanable / treatable filter that is good at repelling H20. A clean OEM filter is free flowing when clean and filtering and allowing the engine to breath.
-
Tramping
@Sanqhar try the TC off and see if that stops the brakes being nipped at because the rather poor tyres are spinning.

How many gears does the Karoq DSG 4x4 Diesel have?
Maybe best before you have the car much longer to get out of a 30 or 40 mph limit and into a NSL where in 'D' you can take the car up to 60 mph and see that it is using all the gears. PS Worth reading the owners manual and finding the bit on 'Coasting Function' and enabling that and when it will function. Then the gear indicator will go from 5, 6, 7 or what ever and display 'D'.

- Oil change after only 450 miles
VW 504 00 / 5w 30 FS III is perfect for Fixed or Variable servicing if you want Long Life oil used with a TSI. The factory went VW508 00 to get WLTP / RDE results. That is also Long Life oil. Just 0w 20 FS IV- DSG gearbox malfunction warning light. Cause?
Fixed Price Servicing and Maintenance at participating dealers on 3-10 year old cars is £60 for the first 30 minutes. The Master Tech might just discover the fault so diagnose in under 30 minutes. No idea why the work would be estimated at 4 hours min. (Half a day works out nice for a customer that lays Golden Eggs.) Maybe just a forewarning that they are going to screw you over and really they do not want your custom. Best talk with a Automatic (Automated Manual) gearbox specialist. That up to now with those having ASG issues does not seem to be Main Dealers techs.- Ford Mustang Mach - E EV European Debut
The door buttons will be interesting in hoar frost, freezing icy conditions and blizzard like conditions. Grey car, foggy / misty conditions and only DRL's on at the front, how so very very EV ish, or just ignorant driving. Lots to think about, but since no gears to change maybe think switch the lights on. - Oil change after only 450 miles
