- Suspension upgrade for 1.4 tsi torsion beam ?
@kfayz the first thing is what tyres is it you have bought and are on the car now and at what pressures are they? And what sort of high speeds, is your 1.4 TSI DSG not in the UK or is is getting used on the Track? PS, what is wrong with the DSG on the car? Have you bought the wrong model of an Octavia for a sporting drive? ..... PPS edit. I see from the other thread you are in Egypt..- Pre-fl tiptronic (09g) jerky
@kfayz in your recent post in the MK3 section on the subject of replacing a DSG in a 1.4 TSI, why would you want to then fit one of these automatic boxes?- Possible to swap dq200 to 09g on 1.4 tsi ?
Do you want to fit a DQ,250 6 speed wet clutch DSG? @thomasaspin is the person that can maybe help. Have you got someone that is going to do the conversion? ,...... EDIT. So a Tiptronics. I see from your old post in the MK2 section that you had one of these 09g Automatics in your 1.6 MPI and had issues. Why would you want to fit one of these in the car you have now,,?- Kodiaq eTech mk2 towbar
In this instance there is a post / thread in the Insurance Section of Briskoda where you can read what the paper published. Just to see not just a Fig Box of sound journalist imagination.- First Elroq on Autotrader - £47,324 for 85 Sportline with Maxx package
High VED from 2nd year for 5 years with Luxury tax. Unless leased and in with the monthly s. Still a costly difference right there.- the truth about electric cars
Maybe someone can find and link an article from yesterday and lots of miles in a VW EV. But at 29 mph around a track. If the idea is replicating city slow travel then the stop start and not moving for periods is really needing consideration.- the truth about electric cars
Sorry double posts when even in business parks mobile reception can be hopeless.- the truth about electric cars
Cheap 90 miles done home charging, now charging for the next 100 miles at the cheapest public rapid chargers I know. The next 2 charges will be so much more expensive unless I do 1 at a slow charge on 11 kW AC. I count the cost of the charging to come out about the same as getting 45 mpg with petrol or maybe a bit more. Charging speed is ok. I was not getting great efficiency getting here at 70 mph and 9*oC. Going to have to drive a bit easier the next 100 and not use CC as it is not efficient or MID or GREEN. Green plus can be but no heating or demisting so really a no no unless needing to get an extra 10 miles range.- the truth about electric cars
The lady in the Youtube said Country Wide. Exactly, black out England wide might get the Government and Councils back end into action. One must remember that as well as a Global Oil Crisis there was a War and in the UK a Miners strike. So there is several wars, oil prices just in the UK looks like rising & energy workers might well have strikes planned in time for next winter since their employers make such huge profits and are not inclind to share the wealth. BP job cuts coming, profits not dropping. PS. Internet / AI & Data Centres, that is the Heavy Electricity user that the Labour Government is backing or so they say. So they better get these Small Modular Nuclear Reactor sites approved and get the investors in and building. Odd if stuff is profitable people hesitate with investing and building and getting profits, must be toi do with Governments chopping and changing ideas and taxation. ............ Personally my interest in the Energy Industry has nothing to do with being Green & the knowledge i have gleaned about Oi & Gas comes from involvement from being employed in the fabrication of equipment business for oil and gas in the past and many family members in it since the 1970,s. Currently my son and his step brothers are out there on rigs or up turbines. (One will mostly be hanging off a bridge today.)- the truth about electric cars
That looks like an indication that possibly the Advertising Campaigns affect to switch off, fit less energy using bulbs and appliances etc etc and the price of electricity and a change in winters with it even being milder in Scotland. Also the loss of some heavy energy user industries. Now the electricity can be produced cheaper and might get used for Electric vehicles while less will get used in the few Cracking Plants & refineries in the UK or certainly at Grangemouth. Less in the UK Steel industry as well.- Kodiaq eTech mk2 towbar

BT are not going ahead with installing 60,000 street chargers. Having installed 1. Going to concentrate on Communications with the Wi-Fi connectivity challenge surrounding EV,s instead. Mobile phone reception at EV Public chargers would really super in 2025. Like 'Simply clever'. ................. Vauxhall thinking that maybe not Simply Clever to wind down producing ICE vehicles. It is like businesses are thinking 'The Government are landing us right in deep poo!- the truth about electric cars
^^^ Yes i know. Written off other. Which was why i was asking because buying used you go on the condition when and the first keepers maybe never bothered then a car gets prepped for sale. You can polish a turd.- Skoda superb 2.0 4x4 cam belt replacement
It is not Skoda direct you will get, it will be their Contractor for Customer Services who know even less, they should be able to Phone a friend or use AI if they are not a Bot, but usually they advise to ask a Dealer. A drug dealer is probably more in the know.- Snow Chains for 18-inch Wheels

I know it is not a Porsche 911 but it matters not to me. I can not get in and out of them anyway without rolling out of them. My favourite colour and shape.- Skoda superb 2.0 4x4 cam belt replacement
Get someone to show you that Advice in writing from SKODA. Should be easy, they can open the book, or print out from their computer. Show that they are not taking the p!th with the 4 year bit. Maybe there is not revised advice for your 2014 engine in the dust free UK, and it is as it was 10 and 5 years ago. They would love to see you and take your money. Ask the person on the Service Desk that knows nothing about engines not to ask the Service Manager who maybe trained them but to go ask the Master Technician. Do you have the Haldex Serviced every 3 years and the brake fluid changed every 3, and i hope the air filter looked at every service, not every 60,000 miles / 6 years.- Wet Timing Belt

There were new Factory Orders at the time the WLTP were built and bunkered as well as VW Group / Skoda failed to get the certification. Company cars are company cars surely, kept about as long as within manufacturers warranty. 2 Years only in some European / EU Countries, 3 years in the UK, 5 in Australia and now 7 years. @Graham Butcher When was your 2017 Superb built and when first registered in the UK? The WLTP was introduced September 2017.- the truth about electric cars
WLTP time VW Group vehicles were bunkered for nearly a year in some cases as the Certification was not gained. That is Engine Oil, Brake Fluid in the vehicle for a year before it might ever get a PDI and First Registered in the UK and the 3 year warranty start. Then the Covid Years cars maybe sitting 6 months or more once in the UK and you need to check how long before that across the channel. Then as far as Used Cars, and the Chip Shortage and Covid, buyer be aware what the car might or might not actually have features,.- Skoda superb 2.0 4x4 cam belt replacement
Who actually informed you that Skoda / VW still advice at 5 years / 40,000 miles was the schedule. It was 5 years / 50,000 anyway. But check if there was any change on advice when it changed for TSI,s which was back last July. Someone here with one might tell you. Or check for you.- the truth about electric cars
@EnterNameI think those that can do a couple of weeks travel and 300 miles for under £7.00 might feel ok about using an EV. Not even a thought about saving the world as using a petrol or diesel when that suited rather than paying 10 times as much to run the EV and public charge.- the truth about electric cars
@EnterName That is real world. Like MX30 ev,s not getting 100 miles from a full charge. It was a balls up all around with the ZEV mandate. Best part it is giving chances to by cheap new or nearly new EV,s and those not even interested time to feel superior while not buying or leasing one. The UK is full of cars in Stock and the Finance that Dealerships and Traders use is from Banks and Financial Institutions ad that is peoples saving and pension funds. The Subscription Model crashed. That was quite a few of Boris Johnson's backers behind that. - Suspension upgrade for 1.4 tsi torsion beam ?
