Been away for a bit, now coming back and on the hunt for a Greenline
The VIN checker i linked should tell you if not done, & a Dealership or Skoda UK can tell you. If done the previous owner might have had rolled back or you can get it done. Check first if Skoda / VW have a record of it being done.

red fabia vrs estate
@shlobber Is it this Mk2 vRS? You have much to find out. Why the Timing Chain was done and was more work done? 'Important that changed, but only if faulty, otherwise not a Service Item with a schedule to replace'. (Later CTHE ones do have a TPI covering them.) Has the Water pump been done and the rubber 2 drive belts? That can be more important. You need to keep money for when it does need doing. How many former keepers? Is it the engine in it what left the factory with or a New or Used replacement or is it a rebuild? Has the DSG ever had the Service Campaign '34F7'? There should be a sticker in the spare tyre well if it has had.

Citigo 2015 ringing noise and missing some power
@AlexRose1942 Have both the 4 year old and 5 year old cars had recent servicing and have nice clean Airfilters fitted and new spark plugs?

car not working help
Best if you say what your Fabia is, age, engine / gearbox, miles covered, & ? Do you mean the car will not start and keep running? Could this be related to the previous issues you posted about and are those fixed / resolved?

Welcome back. With a 1.2 or 1.6 TDI Euro 5 be aware of what the car having had the Emissions Fix carried out can mean, and be aware of what EGR issues might affect the car. You will see threads in the Fabia Mk2 section. Maybe stick a 'wanted ad' up in the Classified section of this forum, and also look at what Briskoda Members have advertised for sale. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions

Driving Instructors with EV's. Vids. Surely a growing market as more new drivers go for EV's.
- Pics of proper AC/DC Charging in Kirriemuir Scotland.
A 4 year old video. (David Young a friend who has sadly passed on.)- Off road mode ?
^^^ Exactly, the clue is in the name of the button. Works as it should on rough terrain, up and down slopes etc calming everything down.- EV sub £30k comparison group tests.
- Car buying trends in the UK.
@Aspman as long as the cabling is there i would hold off 'buying a charge point', they are 'Free Gratis' from all the tax you pay if you have an EV later on. Maybe next time the BM or MINI is in at the dealer give an EV a try. The 335d is in for the recall action on it next week, it has sprung a leak. Dealers with stock they are desperate to shift.- e-Bike loans in Scotland. Interest free, 4 year repayment period.

- Start-stop activating before vehicle stopped
What they are doing with the 1.0 & 1.5 TSI's with a DSG is giving Mild Hybrids only and the cars will start off and crawl along using electricity. With larger capacity Petrol engines it will be plug in to be able to play. @Trilby I have not driven any manuals for 45 years now other than with a servo clutch.- 4WD
Never take what a car actually is by the badges and you can not count on cars in Ireland being the same as in the UK. People debadge cars and others 'add' badges. Then steering wheels get changed. Likely not AWD though.- Start-stop activating before vehicle stopped
Your foot is not on the brake if you just lift off the accelerator as you coast up to speed humps or rolling up to a car park barrier etc. You just have to remember to switch the Stop / Start off, or whack up the heater / cooler control, or touch the accelerator or brake. The Stop / start & lowering of emissions under WLTP testing has meant the VED's are lower or the BIK, so if a post it note is required to remind to put the S/S off that is much cheapness.- 4WD
Do you not know what you have? Can you not look under the car and see if a prop shaft goes to the rear? ? What Engine has the car got, and how many gears for forward and when was in built? I would be avoiding both dealerships if the Staff on the phone do not know their arse from elbow. The cost is the same of an Oil Change of a Wet Clutch DSG no matter if FWD or AWD. There are DSG's that are due at each 40,000 miles and ones due at every 80,000 miles though. If AWD then the Haldex Service is due every 3 years.- Kamiq recall
The OCU Unit Recall shows as Safety Recall on the DVLA Site. *** 10 months since called.*** That is quite a while for Skoda to do a 'Voluntary recall' if that is what they are doing even with Covid 19 in that time. that was March before it became relevant. They should be contacting the Registered Keepers, the DVLA give them the Contact details, the Dealership / Skoda system does not need to know who cars were sold / leased to. Those not going to Dealerships should not be treated like Mushrooms.- Kamiq recall
@skoda1982 Best ask about the 'Recall Action' on some 1.0TSI's 2018-20 for issues with injectors. so '24FQ'.- Kamiq recall

Welcome. Have you or the Technician set all 4 tyre pressures to your chosen pressures then reset the TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.) ?- 1.0 TSI Engine Recall

Or could be to do with 1.0TSI's 2018-2020 When Skoda / VW Group do 'Recalls or 'Recall Actions' they really should Recall Vehicles by contacting Registered Keepers and not run 'Skoda Secret Service Campaigns. That is where your car needs to be into them or where somehow you find out, via forums / social media or word of mouth. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484031-10-tsi-engine-recall- 1.0 TSI Engine Recall
Relevant. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/479195-car-behaving-stranfely- Skoda Service Campaigns, no Recalls being done & Briskoda Forum.
1.0TSI's 2018-2020. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484031-10-tsi-engine-recall- 1.0 TSI Engine Recall
Just another Skoda (SEAT) Secret Service Campaign, if owners / drivers only find out if they have Main Dealer Servicing and otherwise are not getting a 'Recall' letter. Or reading it on a forum / social media. Does it come up here? http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions Skoda are slow getting a 'Safety Critical Recall' with the DVLA. Or just a 'RECALL'. - Pics of proper AC/DC Charging in Kirriemuir Scotland.
