Reliability
It is a reliability survey giving the most reliable vehicles a place on a list.. So maybe they should be making their top ten reliable cars the ones that they got no responses about. Never heard a bad word said against them by people who have no interest in 'Which' in magazine form or online. Too busy getting on with life and driving their vehicles and servicing and maintaining them and reading the owners manuals. So surveys in the past have quite possibly been filled in by Dealership or manufacturers customer services staff that had time on their hands and no customers. ie MG a few years back, very few sold and many happy owners / drivers... Skoda used to come high, on satisfaction & reliability yet very few on Briskoda ever said they filled in the surveys. Maybe non forum members that are inclind to do 'Which' & JD Power Surveys,

They will have their demonstrators and showroom cars as Nd they are going to get these cars built over 6 months ago shifted.@lol-lol sorry rubbish phone reception here and charging ready for tomorrow. I have CrossClimates in 17" ready to put on for all year but I will not be using this car to get anyplace in a hurry anytime in the coldest weather and no way will travel in snow with it away from home.

EV sub £30k comparison group tests.
@lol-lol Autotrader and Corsa and electric. I think there are around 50 advertised. 1 with 11kw onboard charger which I think is a mistake. The 200 miles and plus. Yes on good hilly back roads and even an average 50 mph. Today I am charging ever 120 miles for about 15 minutes as pouring rain, motorway and AC needs to be on. MG dealer is my local one that has been Renault and Nissan for years. I have done 1,300 miles now 11 days and good fun but it would be a waste of time in winter with many bad set up charging places, mobile receptions and lack of toilets.

EPC light come on then disappear! Many times
Great stuff. I check spark plugs anyway anytime I acquire a petrol vehicle. I find it to be 15 minutes of my time well spent. All the gear and full of ideas sadly is not always what is needed when basic servicing will be getting done anyway. It is nice to just get to know as new to you vehicle and not trust service records and receipts.

New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
There is a very good charging hub at Crosshouse Athletic Arena Kilmarnock. Lovely canopy covers which is just as well as torrential rain. Earlier at Perth Park and ride yet again Tesla drivers are occupying the Free CHargePlace Scotland chargers rather than using any of the 12 they would be paying to use.

EPC light come on then disappear! Many times
@3T51704x4 Then move on and do what needs doing., as many that buy cars lots do. Just do basics first. Expecting to do a basic service on a vehicle new to you is just 'simply clever', looking in the air box at the filter and checking the spark plugs is just so 'simply clever' and gives an idea of just what the previous keepers / seller have done. @Kyle1994 I served my time in the 1970's as a Mechanical Engineer and know what misfires are yet one plug misbehaving can have a car go into limp mode or just have a Exhaust Emissions Light come on or a EPC flash and you not feel it. It is a 2011 Euro 5 1.4 TSI that is being talked about here, nit a twincharger, but one that does continue the common issues that they suffer from.

- Green Registration plates are coming for EV's in the UK.
? Has anyone heard a peep on the new Reg Plates for EV's.. It is past mid August, it is the Autumn and the new car registrations are due on the roads in just a under 2 weeks.- Fully Charged Live 2019 show

The PSA Group have now a range of vehicles with the same batteries and motors and of various weights starting with the lightest being the e-Corsa on 16" wheels and 195/55 R 16 tyres. There are heavier ones, taller ones, ones on bigger tyres and strangely the implausible / irregular range for them is pretty much all the same. Sometime a group of 'Motoring Journalists' or Vlogers might get all the cars, the Corsa, 208, 2008, DS3 e-Tense, eC4 with a cheap / lighter on e and a top of the range heavier one and start the convoy off with all of them on 100% charge and see how far they go. Head off in ECO with A/C off and the car carrying 400 kg & on the return journey switch on the AC and run them in 'Normal' mode.- I want to fix the VED
It was ridiculous and still is the vehicles that got low VED's like £30, £20 & £0 and actually never got that great MPG's even though small city type cars. It was a period of Kidology where the testing was Not fit for purpose.- Karoq drive mode change up to fast
Sounds like how many a 69 plate 1.6TDI & DQ200 DSG that Skoda had to get the required WLTP / RDE results on and why they are discontinuing them.- Skoda Enyaq
It is not getting a grill up there as it is an EV, so just something to represent a grill. It is not getting wheels anything like those either or tyres of that profile. Skoda CZ would be as well just showing the vehicles and the gaps between tyres and arches and stop teasing with designers wish and a dream.- Kamiq automatic gearbox problems at Hendy Skoda Bournemouth
That is just HENDY employees. Skoda UK the importer and Warranty Provider could have a 'Competent Technician', or a VW Technical Department Motor Engineer inspect the vehicle and have any faults resolved. A Communications Manager or a Resolution Manager & Skoda / VW UK can arrange that. There is the requirement to allow 'Competent and Qualified Dealership employees with all the gear' to sort matters. HENDY and whoever at Skoda UK are dealing with things are just being hopeless in their duty to have the vehicle of merchantable quality and using 'Operator failings' to try to cover the fault.- Octavia - JD Power - how the hell?
? Did anyone do the Which Reliability survey for 2020? This. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/484139-reliability- Reliability
@croquemonsieur Having not read this survey i have no idea how 'Which' compiled the figures. So was this a response from 'Which' members / subscribers or those responding to a survey? or Figures they got from Manufacturers on Warranty Claims in the Manufacturers Warranty Period, and out of the warranties. The Issue with Dealerships and Manufacturers are how often Car Owners / Drivers are sent packing saying 'They all do that'. or Nothing wrong, no fault codes, no warranty issues. Skoda / VW panned people off for over a year with the Kangerooing issues. Actually they pan people off about quite a few issues across various models as long as those models are in production and even after they 'find a fix', or never find a fix or resolve 'Fundamental Design, manufacturing, material failures. EDIT. So often over the years i ask this. ? Have any members on Briskoda filled in the Which 2020 Reliability Survey? In the past very few ever say they were part of the JD Power, Which or any other survey but this is one of the biggest Skoda Forums with many members. running /owning Skoda's and other Manufacturers brands. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/469440-octavia-jd-power-how-the-hell/page/2- EV real world range and cost to charge

This is an idea for Car Sales people who some people think 'you know they are lying if their lips move.- Polo GTI some details
BRISKODA For sales a perfect place to maybe get 1 alloy with tyre. Or even maybe a pair off alloys for 1 in each car.- Polo GTI some details
? What size was that 'Full size spare wheel and tyre' that the Polo R-Line has? I take it it is not 'The same size as the 17" Alloys and tyres that the car wears. ? Did you actually try it on the GTI so that you know it does not clear the brakes? Just get a full size alloy then with a tyre that matches the 4 the GTI has and use that as a spare.- Octavia 2020 / DSG version
Welcome. It is not a DQ200 DSG which is a 7speed Twin Dry Clutch and not used on any 2.0 TSI or TDI's or AWD's. So a 2020 TDI is fitted with a 7 speed wet clutch DSG that requires a Oil change every 40,000 miles. (Some DSG 7 Speeds are every 80,000 miles now.) *Someone here will know the actual DSG it is.* So DQ200's are just used with engines up to 250 Nm. that is 1.0, 1.2, 1.4, 1.5 & some 1.8 TSI's and 1.2, 1.5, 1.4 & 1.6 TDI's.- I want to fix the VED
Have the Tax & Duty on the fuels as they do now. Then also take a daily charge according to the the weight / length of the vehicle and that covers those parked up and only used occasionally on the roads if the APR system in the UK is not to be sorted out in villages / towns / cities and on the roads into and out of these to know what vehicles are actually using the roads.- Lowering springs or coilovers on a MK2 Fabia anyone?
@guy1nice You do not say what stock is. Is it a Monte Carlo tsi or tdi or a vRS? Or another flavour of Fabia that is stock? The good Coil Overs might well be 'better' than the standard suspension and not good coilovers. A rear ARB with the stock suspension might well feel better and handle better as well. Also a ARB with the Coil Overs. Loads of lowering threads and picture threads on here if you do a search. Loads of modified MK2 Fabia in the project section as well since 2010. - Green Registration plates are coming for EV's in the UK.
