  1. Let's hope that there are no deaths or life changing injuries from BEV,s or PHEV,s setting homes or properties on fire be that with residents or the emergency services. We are sure to hear when there are any such incidents in the UK or globally.
  2. The Kia / Hyundai that had to be parked outside or the advice was to were not EV,s. VW Group should have paid more attention to Engine Covers after VOLVO had issues.
  3. UK Police Forces had to stop using BMW Diesels. & not a fire risk, but a fatality of an officer when there was an engine failure at high speed.. News articles said 'Old engine oil, engine failure', Engine failed, oil under wheels etc. So not fires, but there are fire risks but just to do with the ERG issue, 'Thermal incidents'.
  4. @beneix The point of the All-Seasons is fit and leave on all year. But then maybe your hot summers and tyre shredding track days are too much for them. I have 16" & 17" Alloys with different All Seasons fitted. Ones for the Summer & ones for Winter and when there might be snow.
  5. That is great for those doing that. But that is not the person going to a Tyre & Exhaust centre and being told it has to be a new tyre because a temp job with tyre weld / foam was used and no repair can be done.
  6. When a tyre fitter does not want to repair a tyre that has had foam / tyre weld used tell them to give you 10 minutes with the tyre. You can clean it of the stuff. Paper towels, rags, water or nip to a shop and buy some kitchen / bathrooms cleaner. Then a little roughen with sand paper where the mushroom plug is going. (puncture site.) They just are not going to mess about cleaning it.
  7. Someone will be along that knows the dates. I though a MY2024 is from late July 2023 on.
  8. But the summer tyres could just be removed and All Season tyres fitted to the 17" rims and no need to buy 16" wheels & tyres.
  9. Not a vacuum, or air or H20 tight, but still gets flaps behind at the rear & before the rear bumper to let out pressure. The Damp Traps can do a good job. Slightly down windows can help but then Wind Deflectors are needed really. (means you can put an extension lead into the car when parked upand use a Green House heater in the coldest weather set above 0*oC and stop glass icing up. Remember to remove before driving off...)
  10. We are stuffed, we are doomed, The end is nye!. & my BEV is charging only 3 meters from where i sit. Now the Government will have 67% of those that have EV,s and home charging un-insured. (is that their latest figure with offstreet parking..?) ................... So actually. Not a long story short. Without 'click bait'. He has to re-arrange his insurance when his policies expire. He has no idea if he actually can not get the car or house insured or what Terms & Conditions might be applied. *High annual mileage business user in an EV.* Multiple charging stops, filming and carrying of expensive equipment.* Until recently he went on about not being able to charge at home, or that his partner would not let him use electric at their gaff to charge. Obviously. Make a video having not called the Insurers, and then you can make another after, and string things out. Click mean money. ^^^ Input while driving. (see video below.) All the messing about while driving and watching efficiency or not. Figuring out stops sometime in the next 90 minutes or so. Thinking about a pee or having a drink. Is there a bush to go to the toilet at or do you need on rain wear and a walk off to sneak in someplace for the bog.. Chargers next to no other facilities,
  11. @Graham Butcher Have you managed to find again that article or document on this ban on BEV,s in UK Government owned or controlled underground Car Parks in Westminster? Publicly owned properties used by the Government that will be i assume. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/499506-the-truth-about-electric-cars/page/137
  12. Huge changes then 'across most of England' in the past 2 years. Not always about Service Stations and Trunk Routes, that is about intercity and travelling, for many it is their area of villages, towns and back roads and local and not the MOTORWAY NETWORK, for public charging. Near to home / work.
  13. What is the point of Carbon Fibre parts on vehicles the weight of these?
  14. Welcome. You are required to post using English on the forum.
  15. @sriis Does the temperature in the cabin actually get to 21*oC or is the cars interior hotter than that? What temperature are you getting with a thermometer between the front seats?
  16. Found it. Great. @SEPA.
  17. Not found the public charger, found this at the post code.
  18. Just spotted on the ElectroVerse map/ app 3 chargers at Castle Business park which the entrance to is as you come to Castle view park and ride Stirling, I will check it out as it shows 46 pence a kWh rather than 59 pence here on these crap chargers speed wise and reliability . EDIT, speed actually ok now. Just need 75% and away. I will check out what looks like a single rapid in the Business Park but with 3 charge heads in CCS, Chadamo and AC tethered.
  19. It is p|$$ poor in Scotland. Back killing me. 10 minutes to get charging. Moved to the 3rd charger which is usually the slowest. 3 or 4 attempts at the first 2 then this one to get a charge. Did not accept to get ElectroVerse card then did then stopped charging or never started. Same then with the CPS RFID. Never tried a Credit Card payment but next time here I will.
  20. There will have to be the point and it is not far off when the UK Government will have to be looking at TESLA, TESLA chargers, TESLA in the UK and ask can it be allowed a monopoly on EV Charging. Maybe it will not be like the Markets & Competitions Authority and how it treats Filling Stations and who owns or has control of, them but if Energy Security is an issue then Public EV Charging will have to be an issue and can anyone be allowed to have even 1/4 of the charging business or even 1/3rd? Data Centers for Internet / AI businesses needing so much electricity are building their own Nuclear Plants / Small Nuclear Modular, so why are the likes of TESLA not going to be required to be generating electricity. Is the market fair as far as their buying price of energy?
