Dacia Spring vids.
The young lad says he actually gets 117 miles out of it. Cooking is likely an issue. Not the charger in the zero temps though.i was surprised I got 48 kW and 90 to 99 went in at 11kW.

the truth about electric cars
It is winter, Snowmaggedon Daily express, Opp North Survival Kits are in all the time for the not born stupid, and appropriate tyres. Especially with EV,s where chargers can be sh!t and Snow Gates get closed, like the last few nights. ElectroVerse App playing up, failing to show chargers that are there and usually show. It is a horrible wet night, i will charge where there are canopies. Plenty sweets.

ODB device recommendations
Not the answer to the question, but. If you think you can replace stuff have you checked stuff, like the spark plugs? Have you looked at the air filter, is it there and clean? ??? What was being done at the Service?, Were the spark plugs replaced, was the air filter replaced. First thoughts for me were the done correctly and leads / coils connected securely and no breather pipes left off or punctured. Correct plugs and gapped, yes they come pre gapped, but they can get knocked. You do need to see if misfires are logged and which cylinder. ?? Out of interest how were they as far as doing the oil change, was the Oil level correct when you got it back, checked when hot?

Is My FABIA a belt driven or Chain driven car
Welcome. You really need to say what the engine is, petrol or diesel, 3 or 4 cylinders as Derren Brown is on holiday, but maybe there is someone around still that can help.

Can flappy paddles be coded out?
I would hope so. Was the Hand Control fitter not able / qualified & with the equipment to do that?

the truth about electric cars
I am heading off for Xmas, going electric. Living the dream... Rain, drizzle and mist just as the weather warms up. Only 1 charge needed today later and i have a choice of expensive, quite expensive or very expensive.

Skoda Warranty - Diagnostic costs?
Talk to http://autohausedinburgh.co.uk Better than messing with the Motor Groups you have with Skoda in Edinburgh. Just too late now with the holidays. PS Does it need to be adjusted if the Headlights are a pass as far as the beam. If the Self Level dance does not work and the lights fail on the tester that is different. Or am i very very wrong? Someone will tell me.

Skoda Warranty - Diagnostic costs?
EDIT, Very Probably. When did you buy the Skoda Approved used car, and when was the last MOT before this failed one. Did you not know self levelling never worked until this MOT? They are Main Dealers and can be Independent VW Specialists with licensed equipment that can do Warranty Work. (Usually Ex VW Group Master Techs.) Those might well be few and far between. Maybe show where you are in the UK and someone might know how there is where you are.

About to !!!!
@Squarebush Welcome. Are you aware of the Defeat Device Scandal and then the VW Voluntary Recall and a 1.6 TDI CR maybe having had the New Engine Management and a Flow Device fitted. Some cars never went in to get as Owners never wanted done, some were done if the car at a main dealers. Some done and owners had Rolled Back. http://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-campaigns

Skoda Warranty - Diagnostic costs?
When a valid warranty claim then if you had to pay the diagnostics to the VW Group Approved repairer / main dealer at the time then once the repair approved you should be reimbursed. Read the Warranty T&C,s. Any 3rd party diagnosis is not covered by a Manufacturers Warranty. There are Approved Warranty repairers that are not Main Dealers. What Warranty have you, the 3 years manufacturers, that extended, or an Approved used car warranty? SKODA_Warranty_Terms_July_2023.pdf VWFS_11815379_SKODA_AUW_Booklet_0922E.pdf

the truth about electric cars
The usual usual from these 2. 'The TYPICAL EV user.' groan! Just stick to actual costs as paid if away from home or work. you have gone out on the road actually testing for more then a day or 3. Do not count the first full range as having been charged cheaply other than say on a FAST public charger. several hours... (FAST, not Rapid or Ultra Rapid, and they keep calling Rapid or Ultra Rapid FAST, when fast was only ever AC charging in the past as a term they used.) They mean those that have cheap charging facilities available as TYPICAL. as in the TYPICAL Motoring Journalist maybe, home / work and even then they get that paid for,, these TYPICAL Home charging drivers might be lots of those that will be blowing a crazy amount getting a MINI COOPER E or SE. Typical right handed drivers in the UK need a none shaky left hand or finger. As for voice controls, well that is something else as in you may need to repeat stuff several times, or maybe not, depends on your voice / accent. ................ No doubt it can be Cheaper to run an Electric MINI if you charge @ 10 pence a kWh and 50 kWh costs £5.00 and takes you 150 miles or 175. & the Petrol is 137 pence a litre and 45 litres (£61.65) takes you 350 miles, or even 400 miles. (No cheap sources of buying petrol.) Pay 55 pence a kWh for 50 kWh and you are OK at £27.50. even 75 pence, £37.50. 89 pence a kWh, £44.50 but less than 200 miles. Real world. Obviously if you get what is a 2 seater, (2 + 2 1/2s.) or at a push a 3 seater and you need 3 suitcases or more in then drop the seat behind the driver as nobody with legs can sit there unless the driver and the passenger with legs are very short. Or a 2 seater with more luggage space than a MX5.

the truth about electric cars
Really this should be in the Social divide thread but here it is. (I think the Poll Tax was the best idea, and should be reintroduced, charge everyone, not based on a property value.)

Mpg 1.6tdi
Location location location. I have never ever had a vehicle that uses less fuel using CC on back roads, 60 mph NSL roads with corners and elevation changes. I have tried with any vehicle i drive on the same roads in the 20 miles or so around where i live and CC does not lift of power into corners etc. The difference can be even more noticeable with a DSG and coasting enabled IME. Less fuel used driving the car and keeping the same speed and journey time as if CC was used, and feels much safer. As it is i can not set 60 mph and expect the vehicle to get around every bend, or maybe even 50 mph. Then there is other people using the road that require following, or passing or avoiding as they come towards you maybe CC on and expect you to be giving way.

Welcome. I replied in your other post. ? What engine are you looking at, 1.0 TSI or 1.5 TSI ACT. and manual or DSG?

the truth about electric cars
No, but supermarkets are selling vegetables as a loss leader. Selling for less than they bought them for and they bought them damn cheap and the growers / producers were not getting much of a profit from them. Giving away electricity cheap or free which is not expensive in the first place to charge vehicles is taking the p1th on those that might not be able to have electricity on because it is 25 pence a unit or so, and even £1.50 for the day is too much for them & a standing charge. The system is crap. Maybe use your free or cheap electricity and your EV and go help a local charity and give a lift to people that are maybe getting a Christmas meal provided someplace or do home deliveries if those are being done. No insurance implications in your vehicle already insured foe business use and you are not doing for gain or reward. Just out of the goodness of your heart, and at no cost..

Fabia front passenger seat
Welcome. They say anything. Plenty cars have isofix for child seats and the sea that go up and down. But more limited with many of them. Your seat is a normal one, just not normal from a higher spec car. ? What trim level is your car? Find a seat from a Mk3 Fabia where the passenger seat can go up or down and it will fit in the car. The issue will probably be a different material from the drivers seat and the rear seats. PS A mod will move your thread to the Mk3 Fabia section and someone with a passenger seat that is adjustable can maybe say what trim / spec their car is.

- North Coast 500 in EV Vids. Or any information on chargers if you have any please.
He is not one for doing much research. As in Aviemore and Ski-ing in Scotland or the 5 Ski Centres. Or maybe even charging,& the likes of the location of the Tesla Supercharger in Aviemore. Charge then stealth overnight parking. (Ski uplift Chair and Tow is fine on Cairngorm, just the Funicular Rail uplift is not ready to re-open quite yet. Extensive repairs) - North Coast 500 in EV Vids. Or any information on chargers if you have any please.
