? Does lane assist actually operate below 38 mph?- the truth about electric cars
Crown Estate was different in Scotland already from RoUK. http://crownestatescotland.com No point the Westminster Government thinking they can do as decades ago with the Oil & Gas. Be the tuck shop monitor, or keeper of the kitty and just fill their own pockets. Then as far as the Sea Bed and licences. geology etc etc, all already done. Floating, Fixed, Pipeline & Cable locations. The Energy Companies know what they want and where. As it is the National Grid is the fly in the Ointment, and there is a time when Scotland will be independent from the RoUK and not just devolved. GB Energy should be getting on with Energy Security plans from generating electricity south of the Land Mass of Scotland and the waters coastal or further offshore. Time to get the Small Modular Nuclear plants built, and the substations and pylons up in England and not think that jobs created in Scotland means that the public are putting up with stuff without cheaper power so that the South can have electricity and transmissions underground.- oljekondition
@eco1 Does your cars allow you to reset the Service interval from 15,000 km / 9,300 miles , 372 days to variable and 30,000 km, 24 months? Or is it already on that setting?- the truth about electric cars
Head Quartered in Aberdeen. Aberdeen hosting GB Energy. & 2 smaller sites in Edinburgh & Glasgow. That is not going to win Labour the next Holyrood election.- the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol I take it you mean one of Sunak's last appearances as the Prime Minister. (Ex Chancellor as well, but who knew little about the real costs of living.) He who never knew how to pay for fuel in someone else's car using a card. We have 'GB Energy' now, the most we can hope for is them not blowing billions of public money under their incompetence at running things. A total lack of much experience in running anything among the elected politicians that form the Cabinet. or the leader of the Political Party. He who hopefully is having his one and only Christmas at Downing Street.- oljekondition
Amazing sensors that know so much. Like how a vehicle is used. But an 'Onboard laboratory' they are not. They are not that great in VW Group engines at letting you know the Oil level is low until very low. As far as checking oil levels. Check at 'Normal Operating temperature', (Skoda said WARM, VW, AUDI, SEAT said HOT.) Then 1.2 44 kW VW Engines, according to Skoda back in 2010/11. Checked Cold.- the truth about electric cars
I never cease to be amazed at people that do not understand averages. An average well below 50 pence for Public Charging in the UK as in AC & DC charging will be amazeballs. Private users not getting hit with the VAT that businesses can claim back would be something of a smart move. ............. ''Us a cheaper charger". a very slow to add range to the car charger that is. Some are lucky to have a choice, and some might get landed with just those when really they want to get going someplace. They might wait and wait to get one of those and those occupying them not return to their fully charged vehicle for hours or days. (PHEV,s sitting that just need 2 hours on these chargers to save them 2.5 litres of petrol are parked on them all day.)- Any way of disabling this auto braking?
Skoda / VW Group need lots more arse covering than just warnings. They as a corporation are building and delivering vehicles for sale with known issues, fundamental design, engineering, hardware or software and being left in no doubt that customers are finding them unsafe. They keep on delivering them to Dealerships regardless and these are going on the roads. This is nothing new, they do it model after model. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/528880-skoda-want=my-kodiaq-for-3-months-to-fix-it- oljekondition
I very much doubt it. But Skoda never gave that engine a Code for Variable / Flexible servicing did they until a year or 2 later than yours. So a Fixed Service Regime for Oil & Filter changes. Such a small Oil Capacity that regular oil changes is just 'Simply Clever' is it not?- the truth about electric cars
My phone is pinging with Free Charging offers. Genie Point and others. Lovely if by chance charging and there is a deal on. I see i have another 25 kWh charging available 'Free Gratis' from Osprey on the App. If i can just get the charger to start and use that and not actually debit my CC as it did last time. Customer Services were no help and said be sure to start charger using the App. As to Balancing the Grid and EV Discount Charging. Cruel i know but there will be plenty having a laugh if there are Power Outages in and around London and the most populated areas of England on Christmas day. 8am to 8 pm.- the truth about electric cars
People joke about Scottish people and especially Aberdonians being tight. I might just charge at an Osprey Charger and not mess about. Christmas is the season of excess. The reason for the season.- Fitting aftermarket towbar
@G32turbo That reply is more likely to have been AI generated so from a Bot. There at that 'Skoda' the Technical Department seems about as much use as those providing Skoda Customer Services in the UK.- the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol That was just quick quotes for the 650 hp (for 10 seconds 650 hp) Hyundai. 3 times the cost of a MINI Electric 2023 or a 2016 BMW 520. I could get cheaper than that. On a driveway and garaged, but then age, NCD and location location location makes a difference. That was based on 8,000 miles a year. A GR Yaris at 1/2 the cost of the Hyundai would be my choice for driving great driving roads at legal speeds.- the truth about electric cars
A good few about on the roads and not just demonstrators, and truth of the matter is that other than accelerating away to show one how quick they are on roads like in the video he has to drive with due care and attention and be able to stay on his side of the road on bends that are blind in a big fat EV. He and the other vloggers and drivers of fat EV,s are often unable to stay on their side if pushing on. Loads of kidolgy. No idea how many Accident Damaged ones there are about. The insurance for me is not expensive.- the truth about electric cars
^^^Lets see how many Motoring Journalists / Vloggers spend their own money and buy or lease them and not just drive Media cars.- Skoda want my Kodiaq for 3 months to fix it !!
Skoda / VW UK should take ownership of the Faulty car to see as a Used one after repair. They have Cars suitable in the UK to give as a Loan car until they get a Brand New one for you. Not worth accepting a repair that is to take as long as they say and which could be longer.- is buying a used ev more risky than buying a used ice ?
If you get Onboard Charger issues (AC) and High Voltage Charger issues (DC) & no Warranty then you really are stuck with a Mill Stone around your wallet.- overheating on hills
Welcome. Are you looking at the Oil Temperature, and it doing exactly as expected. Or hat temp is the Oil Getting to? ? Or is it just the Coolant Temperature which should not be showing it was rising like that? It being the coolant system that brings back down the Oil temperature. ? Is it a DSG or a manual?- is buying a used ev more risky than buying a used ice ?
At least the 2018 one they tested did not go on fire. It is interesting they say the Batteries last longer than consumers thought. Is that the General public consumers rather than those that actually got / bought BEV,s and had not the same thoughts or ideas or were being fed the negatives. No Buying back of 2018 Jaguar I-Pace yet in Europe / EU. As far as Germany and Porsche Taycan, what have Dekra to say about the many many recalls on early and not so early models of them. If any EV has High Voltage / Charging Rate Issues failure to charge and you need to get going, at least give a thought to AC Charging with the Onboard Charger, 7 or 11 kW AC only but maybe an hours charge can get you an extra 30 miles or so. Might help if the issue is just DC charging. Get you on to somewhere.- warning in stop start system
Is it possibly as simple as the state of charge of the battery? Is it on the original one?- is buying a used ev more risky than buying a used ice ?
- Variable servicing can't be set ?
It has a GPF. Recommended oil by VW Group / Skoda, VW508 00 / 509 00 0w 20 FS IV. (Long life)- Variable servicing can't be set ?
@Mr Grump Just so we know, what is it, a 1.0 or 1.5 TSI ACT with a GPF.? a 2023 car. with a Q16 code. It comes to the UK set for Variable Service Intervals. At the change from In Transit or at a PDI it is changed to Fixed if they are going to change the Service Regime.- Octavia iV mk4 drive modes
Aaa Arnold Clark. Knowledge of vehicles functions. Unbelievably they own a College for training people in the Motor Trade. Trained and qualified technicians working on EV,s / PHEV,s, Health & Safety. - Travel Assist
