Have a look on yours (anyone with a mk4, please!), I don't own one, or I would. 🙂 Quite likely possible to get a camera phone pic without lifting vehicle, by reaching under bumper in each corner.

Does yours? I'm struggling to find mention of the pad wear sender in any wiring diagrams for mk4 Fabia, or mk3 for that matter.

Look to see if there's a wire coming from any of the inner brake pads.

The module lives under driver's seat on a RHD T5, and they do suffer condensation problems on the non-waterproofed loom connections. This particular unit has several corroded connector pins, so some shorting may well have occurred. Also, it's around 20 years old so the relays will have 'lived a bit'.

Context is adjacent to relays in a convenience control module. So flyback diode type thing I suppose. This one exploded a bit.

Any experts in the house? Think it's a diode, maybe SOD124 package given the measurement (a smidge over 4mm for body itself). Not finding anything convincingly correct from the markings. Assistance appreciated. 🙂

Quite likely it was built before May 2011 then. Let me know if anything in the above wiring snippet doesn't seem to correlate with what you find, but I doubt it will be an issue. The main problem you'll face - I think - is that the relay panel on Fabias isn't really intended for easy after-build access.

Wiring diagram for CGPA mk2s built before May 2011 is subtly different but functionally equivalent, I believe. Do you know when it was built?

First hypothesis is toast then. Here's the relevant circuit of the fuel pump relay - J17- and the so-called fuel supply relay J643 (which should kick in for a couple of seconds when driver's door opens for the first time after at least a half-hour layoff). Triggered via BCM pin taking the lower coil connection of J643 low. [173] connects to fuel pump. [37] is a permanent 12V from fuse 46. [136] is a feed to the ECU relay. J643 lives in position 10a in cabin fusebox

Does lights left on audible warning work if you go to exit vehicle having left lights on? I'm thinking that maybe the car isn't aware of door opening; most likely because of a broken wire in door bellows.

I don't think the parts come from the UK, it's all from mainland Europe as far as I know. They just pretend to be local by using .co.uk web address. There was a very similar thread - https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/540874-superb-3v3-tailgate-struts-beware-autodoc/ - about a week ago, and will continue being more because their pricing is so enticing.

The idea is that the charcoal temporarily adsorbs the vapours, then releases them to be integrated into normal engine fuelling when engine is running. Lossless and clean.

It will just be fuel in there, not sediment. A pal of mine had a similar problem on a newish Octy, which was eventually fixed by dealer. They told him this: " They fixed the engine light problem. Apparently it is a known problem on some models, not usually on Octavia, where the vapour cartridge and pipe are undersized. The fix has been to replace these with the newer, larger, design. Done under warranty." I'd never heard anything like it.

Dunno, sorry. On some models you have to get at the fixings from the other side of the firewall, in the scuttle area.

I would be extremely surprised if that has any basis in truth.
