  1. Don't suppose you have a VCDS autoscan for the car? Sounds like someone may have replaced a faulty module with one from e.g. a two door Polo?
  2. The 12-valve engines often suffer valve damage if timing correlation is lost, I'm afraid.
  3. Injector problems aren't unheard of in the 1.6 diesels, but I don't know how you'd go about diagnosing such a problem. A fella called @Crasher has considerable professional experience that he might be kind enough to share.
  4. Unlikely I think. What engine type is it?
  5. No. The flexible, convoluted section under that braid has developed a leak.
  6. Ad blu doesn't have anything to do with regeneration even in diesels that use it.
  7. Yes, thanks. Now edited to 8.
  8. Yes, I believe it is. Should match what's on your V5c too.
  9. Share the reg number or VIN with me and I can look it up for you. From experience of a different model, surely a leak at a junction between a pipe and a component is most likely to simply require a replacement o-ring?
  10. Dunno mate, there are repair kits you can buy, but never tried one.
  11. Gearbox code is GSB, clutch is 190mm.
  12. Eating for a bit, back soon.
  13. Mk2 Fabias are equipped with a lot of different engine types, which does yours have, please?
  14. I'll PM you the car data, stand by.
  15. From your car data: 4I2 Central locking w/ radio remote control, interior controls, without SAFELOCK
  16. Good decision. The HTP engines are sweet when running well, but not designed to have major work carried out straightforwardly.
  17. No such thing as a 6Y2 engine. BLT engine code, I think. 6-speed manual transmission. But yeah, most people looking for a Mk1 vRS would know what it is.
  18. @Dennis3 What size are the tyres on the four alloys? And on the steel spare?
  19. I'm not seeing a lambda probe listed in either parts catalogue or wiring diagrams for this car. Any chance you meant air mass meter/MAF sensor?
  20. I don't think it will have one, if you mean the type of oxygen sensor found in exhaust pipework? VIN or reg number may help me confirm. Why do you ask?
  21. PM me any lookups you want doing, with reg number or VIN.
  22. Have you seen the Private Message I sent through? I'll answer in there if so.
