  1. You could plough through all the relevant pages here, https://www.lllparts.co.uk/catalogs to find a spring with matching paint marks. Or PM me the VIN.
  2. "I'm not anti-EV" you say; yet every chance you ever get to try to knock them, you jump at it. It's pretty funny, really.
  3. New to climate control and haven't really learnt how to work it yet, but currently the passenger side is set to 19°C, driver's side 20°C. If anyone wants to copy and paste my ° symbols, you're most welcome.
  4. Actually, the later pdf only covers CDAA from November 2011, so both of your cars are described in the earlier May2007> version correctly. Both featuring the control unit above tank. I expect the From Nov 2011 CDAA has the same too, but didn't check.
  5. Sorry for delay. Your car was built on 26 May 2011, so I'd expect the 'From May 2011' pdf to apply for the circuits, CDAA engine code. Yours was built on 21st April '11, so the previous pdf (May 2007 >) should have the best circuit info. Do either of you need any further assistance? Looks like you might have found what you needed while I was spinning/showering/eating.
  6. Just about to do a spin class fellas, will get to it later this evening.
  7. @ggpowell2, if you supply reg number or VIN, I can locate the most relevant info for the car. There are different schematic sets for pre- and post May 2011.
  8. Hope so; but my optimism doesn't stretch to imagining that the inlet valves look more like the second photo than the first. The throttle valve looks a lot better, upstream of the soot source, but still getting a clean later.
  9. As expected, (electric) EGR valve not looking pretty at all, and several chunks of carbon fell out before I got it off.
  10. 502 00 is the VW Group spec that is correct for your engine. If you buy something that meets that spec, no other details need to be considered.
  11. The FL is part of that number, stick it on the end and you'll have the real part number. I would suggest that your relevant PR codes must be 1JC and 0YF. Genuine spring of that PN is currently £111.50 + VAT at Skoda dealers.
  12. Wet, I think; but I know precious little about DSGs.
  13. Another DQ250, code PQS. 👍
  14. Yes. I'd need VIN or reg plate number
  15. Better. There was a stat in there, old below new. Oil and filter change tomorrow, if I get a chance. Fuel filter to follow once I've got a bit of diesel in a can to pre-fill it.
  16. Partslink24 says that your VIN should have 5Q0937084AG, which has been superseded by 5Q0937084AJ Z00 I don't know enough to tell you anything more.
  17. I didn't think mk3 Fabia had that functionality? Is this a mk4?
  18. £20 collected (Abingdon or Highworth), happy to post at cost to UK addresses. Not new, but works fine. No longer have partnering BT equipment so surplus to requirements. PM me if interested, ta. SOLD 19/09/24
  19. It doesn't. Plenty grunty enough as is, and I doubt the EGR and TB have ever been cleaned out, so only going to get better. Found out why it was sold just now. Reviewing paperwork handed over to me. Audi recalled it for an airbag thing (69r7) a month or so back. That was free, but the upselling included a quote of £471 for rear discs and pads, cambelt for a shade under 1k, and cheekiest ever - 'rear washer nozzle inop. Req investigation' 1 hour labour at £216. 😁 Nozzle off (30 seconds) soak in descaler, refit. At least that was my approach.
  20. I might get to it tomorrow afternoon, depending on how the morning goes. Genuinely curious to see. The sound insulation on the underside of the engine cover had done a nasty mix of falling off and disintegrating, covering the engine in black foam dust, now largely vacuumed away.
