  1. I am fairly sure it was MY19 that we went to DQ381. Nothing wrong with DQ250 though.
  2. BTW - if you get a shipping cost of 25EUR on the checkout, email Magda and tell her the system is still broken! Shipping should be 11 EURs.
  3. Sasha - what was the deal with the MIB system in the end....was it an MIB2.5 or was it an MIB3 system on your car??
  4. Check out your car serial number - it will also tell you in the purchase documents and also in the VW Service History.
  5. This might help - you can read your VIN number - 10th Character and this will tell you your manufacturer year: https://www.whichmobilitycar.co.uk/check-your-model-year/
  6. It usually late 2018 (typically from about September/October onwards). Why do you ask?
  7. It looks like you only have half of one side working for your DRL's - is this correct (left hand side as you look at the car - first pix)? I would be looking at wiring issues here. You either have a bust earthing point or your control wires to the right hand unit aren't properly connected up (or one of the connectors has been connected around the wrong way). Its worth asking what Electrical work they did to your car to fix the problem on the RHS....(e.g. did they do any cable splicing in the wiring loom?)
  8. Just out of interest, did you copy the top level folder to the sdcard and all the files underneath....or did you go into the folder and copy all the files across? I can do a Zoom session and show you how to prepare the files as necessary. BTW what system do you have? Amundsen or Bolaro?
  9. Hello @Andy730 - sounds like you have problem with the SD Card. It will need to be formatted in FAT32 format (and ideally using 4k block size) - head back to your PC - reformat the disk in FAT32 mode (right-click over the SD Card and Format). Under Format - it should give you either NTFS or FAT32. Select FAT32. Press Format.... When completed, unplug and replug back in the SDCard - then copy over the files again. Wait until all the files are copied across and make sure you properly UNMOUNT the SDCard. You can now go back to the car, re-insert the files and restart the upgrade process.
  10. I think you need to look at:
  11. You need to make sure that you tag @pab567who will hopefully be able to assist.
  12. I prefer the TDI Engines - what can I say.....TSI Engine was lovely, but required pushing at high revs to get any power out of it....
  13. From the household that has too many Skoda's.....(husband says Shiny Skodas cos we keep on polishing them) Myself and my husband were not happy with our 67 plate Octavia VRS TSI - its a lovely car, but just not for us..... So - after a bit of negotiation, I am trading in our 67 plate Red Octavia VRS TSI Manual- for a 67 Plate Quartz Gray VRS TDI DSG 4x4 with a tow bar..... Fuzz-factors restored - hopefully picking it up next week
  14. Okay - cue the music - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbD_kBJc_gI
  15. The suspension parts were part of the overall improvements to the Octavia range, not just to the Scout. I know I saw reference to improved suspension in the FL brochures, but Skoda UK have removed all legacy info from their website. :-(
  16. I am sure that a Briskoda member can update the maps for your car (as long as your SD card is not broken) if @langers2kguide is not working for you. To make 100% sure, can the OP - @seancannonplease post a photo of the front screen of his entertainment system to make sure it is a Amunsden system; the process of updating maps for the Amunsden system vs the top end Columbus system are very different.
  17. I fitted the Hecko wind deflectors to my Scout - I think they are a nice touch, but they can make the wind-noise whilst travelling more intense, but you soon get use to it. As to fitting; the rear windows don't need clips, the front windows are interesting: I found I need no clips from the (UK) driver side (RHS), but there was a clip need at the bottom of the window for the passenger side. In terms of installation, you need to do the install when it is a dry windless day (and ideally above 6C). The rear windows fit easily and don't interfere with the window mechanism; the fronts do. On my FL Scout, install as per given instructions - then wind up the window 3/4 of the way. For the last piece, you need to guide the window into the correct gap, whilst pressing and holding Windows Up key and the wind deflector pulls up tight behind it. That should it fully installed.
  18. Taste...or lack of it.....
  19. Okay - some UK reviews here: https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/skoda/octavia/98563/new-skoda-octavia-2017-facelift-review
  20. Better suspension in FL models; the build quality is slightly better too. Definately go for the Bi-Xenon if you can find one. The cars are really good; just got to make sure they have been serviced correctly. Can you change your profile to let us know where you are based? Its sounds like Europe, only because most folk are UK based on here.
  21. What's your budget? There are a number of good Scout's out there; a lot have done mega-miles (cos they are so good). Engine - having had both a TDI150 and a 184 - definately a 184.....hands down. Not much difference in MPG (I still get 50mpg+ from 184 on a good day). Power difference is noticable. Try and get a Facelifted (2017 onwards with split headlight) as they are better put together.
  22. Och....typo. Actually I wish it was fixed. It broke itself again. Water now going out of holes now spraying car behind!! Going into dealer to be fixed on the 5th April.
