I did think the V3 was a bit "over toyed", with loads of options that brought limited value and huge wheels to cut the range Not that I went that route, although there's a long lead time on everything, so it'll be a long while before I go electric.

Battery door cameras
I saw the G4 Pro and yes it looks interesting, certainly could see a use for a small number of those covering the outdoor areas from a higher level. It's definately something to look into when I next upgrade the wifi system. I was looking previously but the ubiquity were not yet 802.11ax compliant and since I have an old AC system there was no point. The wifi upgrade was likely between a draytek and an ubiquiti system, so I'll keep an eye out an when they both support everything I want I'll probably combine the two systems Do the Ubiquiti support any AI type features, such as facial recognition, ANPR or identification of person/vehicle/animal etc?

Domestic charging points - A new social dividing line?
England needs to get on with energy storage, probably a combination of hydrogen and batteries as part of the national grid. It's madness that they're getting people to turn the wind farms "off" during times of high usage. To be honest it comes back to the UK needing to own a fair chunk of it's national infrastructure again rather than having it run for profit by companies (Usually state owned) from all over the world.

Battery door cameras
FYI, it isn't the doorbell we are after, but the cameras you can place around which have movement detection. The idea is to put one up front to do both duties. How is the night vision on the ubiquiti? Out of interest do you require a suitable Ubiquity NVR? If so this is probably something I'd look into when upgrading the wifi system to a WPA3/AX based system as you can then do a few central bits in a single go.

Currently investigating: - Arlo Ultra/Ultra2 (4k recording if you pay for the subscription every month) - Nest camera systems which have a 4k sensor and save a 1080p image from this. (Apparantly gives better movement pictures) - The Ring spotlight camera (which is only 1080, gives good outline images, but lacks facial detail) As you say, it's not really for capturing high levels of detail, but when you look at a PoE wired NVR system to get 8MP (4k) with a couple of cameras and a decent NVR then you start paying big money. I would imagine that as you say it's going to be something in the short term and save up for the decent cameras when chip availability improves. Even the most expensive of the above options, with 5 years of subscription would be less than half the price of a wired system.

Domestic charging points - A new social dividing line?
London, with another cross rail coming, whilst the rest of the country get next to nothing… Still I’m sure charging infrastructure in London will benefit the whole country 🙄🙄🙄 Rather than doing more for those with the best public transport in the country, perhaps funding should go to those areas where car is the only choice!

Domestic charging points - A new social dividing line?
Whilst grants for homes are no longer permitted, the grants for landlords are there and it is significant...

Battery door cameras
I couldn’t see any above 1080p, in fact only nest and arlo have any sensors above 1080p and even then they’re not all true 2k/4k.

Battery door cameras
Looking at things such as ring, Arlo etc and after recommendations. Ring seems low resolution at 1080p and wondered if the 2k or 4K cameras from arlo or anyone else give a better picture whilst still being reliable?

Pipe to power steering pump split leaking fluid
Using your part number (Which is probably correct): https://oemwolf.com/oem-parts/3b2422893c.html https://www.oemvwshop.com/3b2422893c-expansion-hose-from-vane-pump-to-steering-gear-p275053/ https://www.fixparts-online.co.uk/en/audi-flexible-h-3b2422893c.html https://www.german-spare-parts.net/schlauch-part-number-3b2422893c.html Again I can't comment on any of the sites, they're just from a basic search. At least one site implies parts are somehow connected to Moscow, which could cause an import headache. Still it's somewhere to start and if you can find the original spec, a pipe specialist will be able to build you one, albeit at a cost.

Had an accident; InsCo want to write it off. Valuation issues
I assume the L&K pack brings the Elegance up to L&K spec? If so go to them with plenty of prices of Elegance and L&K plus any L&K pack you can find pointing out it's a lot more than they are offering you. With second hand car prices and with parts prices at or around record highs, they can't be offering below cost to replace. Oh and don't forget you can tell your insurance company to replace the car like for like if you can not replace the car for the money they say you can. That always winds them up into a better offer and if they somehow do find the car for the same money, then happy days. Insurance companies in part have themselves to blame for the high number of PI claims, because they charge max, payout min and seem surprised when people then say there is PI after being left out of pocket. It doesn't make it right, but insurance does seem heavily weighted in favour of the company not the insured.

2011 Skoda Octavia VRS side lights not working
Do you have a picture of the headlight type as many use the LED strip as the sidelight and have a redundant bulb in there. Would we be correct that the car has Xenon headlights?

Pipe to power steering pump split leaking fluid
This lot in CZ suggest somebody has one in stock: https://www.oemvwshop.com/3b2422893c-expansion-hose-from-vane-pump-to-steering-gear-p275053/ I know nothing of the company though, so can not verify if they are any good or otherwise. This lot I linked to before list it as a part for the superb, was it them you called? https://www.worldcarparts.co.uk/calculator/steering-suspension/steering-hose-pipe/hydraulic-hose-steering-system-febi-bilstein-33937 Good luck with your hunt, as it certainly doesn't look like an easy part to track down. Hopefully if yours is damaged it's on the hose section, as I imagine you might be able to find a company who could rebuild that if you're lucky.

Pipe to power steering pump split leaking fluid
I was looking up parts for a petrol engine as I’d stupidly seen >2L and thought it was the vr6 engine. You are far more likely to be correct on the part number, but the part looks very similar to part 10, so I wonder if it’s a common part with different part numbers per brand. was 4b0 a Passat by any chance?

Pipe to power steering pump split leaking fluid
I've already moved the thread for you In terms of parts, I've linked to two suppliers in my second post just above this one. If you click the section that says reveal hidden contents you'll see two links

Pipe to power steering pump split leaking fluid
This the correct part? - Part number is 4B0422893A If so I've put a link to one I've found in the spoiler section below.

Pipe to power steering pump split leaking fluid
Would I be correct in thinking this is a MK1 skoda superb? If so it's essentially a stretched passat, so you may well find you can widen your search for parts if you're lucky. Somebody somewhere will make the part and even if they didn't you could almost certainly get a custom one made up for far less than it would cost to buy a banger at current second hand car prices. For now I'll move the thread to the MK1 Superb section, as you'll get a wider audience there.

Skoda Citigo EV similar to VWID1 coming soon?
Like you, car came with 18, but the winter 16" get better MPG, even when they're running winter tyres. Makes little sense in a world of increasing energy prices and targeting lower CO2 emissions. 205/55/R16 is a good tyre size for comfort and stability although I wouldn't object to a 17" for sportier versions. 15/16/17 used to be the choice and now we are at 19/20/21 are the choices. Perhaps substance ought to come above style a bit once again, but I doubt it will happen.

EA888 Tsi APR INTAKE FOR SALE
Understandable, possibly worth a poke as if the first post is genuine. A light digging suggests it may be: https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/cc1143725 leads to here: https://www.parcelforce.com/track-trace?trackNumber=CC1143725 and further details on the print proof of delivery button... Out of principle if it is not resolved, then I would inform the police. Even if they don't do anything further and only log it at least there is a record it's not a one off error should a theme develop down the line. Obviously I make no judgement about what has gone on, but as you say things happen, communication is key.

hydrogen powered cars
It's a confusing article, clearly as a pitch for their fuel and fuel cell. It's 80% less CO2 than a toyota mirai (hydrogen fuel cell) and it reduces CO2 emissions 80% vs a petrol car if you're burning their fuel. Interesting as the tech could be (and freely admit I don't know enough about it), the above pair of claims suggest someone somewhere between the marketing department and the journo has possibly either got confused or been a bit liberal with the facts.

Skoda Citigo EV similar to VWID1 coming soon?
Whilst it's nice to see the smaller EV, why are all EV coming with 19/20/21" wheels? Drop down to a 16" wheel size or even a 17" and the range would go up due to lower rolling resistance. Would also reduce tyre replacement costs and the cost per mile

Zoe ZE50 First Impressions
Yes but mileage claim is supposed to cover wear and tear, costs of insurance, servicing as a true cost per mile, not a cost of just fuel per mile. TBH, I would suggest that the 4-5p per mile needs to become 10p before taxable (for electric) and the 45p needs to become 55-60 before being taxable. These amounts are not what you have to get paid, they are the amounts the company can pay you before it's taxable and where you can claim the tax difference to if paid less.
