Featured Replies

Hi Guys & Gals. Last divorce finally paid for.... Got my new black vRS 1st June - and WOW !! Last car I enjoyed as much was a Healey 3000 back in 1964. Looking for lots of knowledge here, 60 years young & airline training captain by day. Throttle by wire's OK, I fly by wire !! Live round the corner from AMD in Bicester. Roger M

Welcome, Roger

At last, someone (who will admit to being) older than me :)

Technically, I think any new octavia actually has what's called "drive by wire" ;) No cable, but a potentiometer electronically measuring right-foor heaviness which then sends the signal back to the car's ECU :)

Welcome Roger, age immaterial here :)

Welcome Roger.

Throttle by the wire, fly by the wire - last time I heard that was the father in law, tracked all safe routes during WW2.

Roger,

Welcome to Briskoda & to Skoda, the best kept secrets in motoring. Beware of the slippery slopes of car modding, once you start it becomes adictive although some how worth it. Being so close to AMD the wallet is bound to suffer, people will tell you stories like the engine can handle over 300 bhp without any internal mods & Brembo 4 pot brakes will bolt straight on, unfortunatelly they are all true

Have fun & keep that big smile on your face & age is imaterial, your as young as you feel or is it your as young as the Woman you feel !!

Stuart

Welcome Roger :wavey:

Don't forget the brake is the middle pedal, it's a long story.

welcome Roger,

i'm sure you won't spend much time away, its quite addictive this site!!!!

Hi Roger, age? worabout it? Who gives a jot! We all suffer from it sooner or later ;) The others WILL catch up.That's a certainty :P

Welcome anyway, and when can we have a group fly in your aeroplane please? :D

Trying to fly this flying simulator that I got for my birhday  Think me and my passengers have died about 20 times now!

Taking off is easy enough,it's this coming back down that's the tricky bit I find

Is this true in the real thing?

Doesn't your job get a bit confusing sometimes..you know..being called..Roger

cheers
