Fabia facelift

Featured Replies

Hello

Does anyone know when the fabia facelift is due as it was launched in 2001 it must be due a midlife tweak very soon. I'm very interested in the Vrs but certainly wouldn't want to buy if a facelift is due in 6 months. Dealers either don't know or if they do won't tell.

Thanks

I was told not until 2005, probably timed with a big motor show (Geneva?). No guarantee than the vRS would be facelifted at the same time. I went ahead and ordered mine. Build week 27 and counting ...

I'm on the verge of ordering too. What options are you getting and what was the total wait time from ordering?

Fabia was launched in 2000 BTW.

Mine will be yellow, + cruise + sunroof + xenons + side airbags.

Then maybe some slight tarting up and a satnav if the money comes in ...

Dealer said the factory sometimes juggles with production to put customer orders (as opposed to dealer stock) at the top of the list, so having ordered at the end of May in the expectation of mid-August, it could be here in mid-July.

Ordered mine last Saturday, was suppopsed to pick it up today, but delivery driver didn't delivery it - should now have it by Wednesday.

Facelift out approx october this year, some changes to front of fabia, definately a new dash, they are thinking of offering leather interior, my dealer says its probabley going into the elegance through and not the Vrs.

Is the face lifted version of the vRS coming out about the same time? It would be about October to November when I was planning on ordering mine so do you think it will be worth waiting for the newer model?

Thanks

Mark

I guess that depends what the new one looks like, I can't wait any longer so i've ordered my Black Magic Fabia vRS, if I put it off something will happen and this time next year I will still be without a car. I guess the main thing I may miss is an updated dash but in the scheme of things who cares! VrooooOoooom ! :P

Perhaps if I was a bit younger and not in a hurry I would wait, but if it's out in Oct that could turn to Nov, then a 10 week order time or longer as I have filled my vRS with options and we are talking some time next year.

I must say, Drive the Deal are very good so far, they called me 9am this morning to confirm and the dealer who will be supplying my car just called at 11.00am, still have to wait for delivery date though. Watch this space. :D

Judging from the pics in the other thread i'd say buy now :o

Even if the present vRS ends up looking a bit retro next to the new one I somehow think i'm not going to regret missing out on a few smoothed off edges.

Picked mine up today .. had Xenon, CD auto and cruise. Also Black metallic. Apparently the wait is 3 months now

Facelift is out in 2005... leather option on Elegance. New dash materials, new front end - fogs/grill and New Octavia style 'C' shape rear lights.

What is it with that beige plastic?

On some models
