just been looking at the fabia vrs and o my god its such a nice car the power is amazing, i almost *** in my pants .you lot who remap them have a screw loose lol or a death wish, just hoping i can get a god deal from the dealer or find a good one secound hand now ,just a quick post really to say how good it was lol... any one else have same feeling first time they drove one ???

After 3 years of owning one - still grinning on the drive in to work this pm....

For fun factor, nothing comes close IMHO....

I agree, had mine from new and it's by far the best car I have bought yet, still grinning nearly 4 years later.

Its a great wee car. Very economical and great accelaration. Love it when people come close up behind thinking it a slow Skoda and then you just put you foot down and leave them behind in a clould of soot.

The ability to smoke on demand is just icing on the cake - the raw torque, sleeper look and economy are the best points.

After upgrading the suspension, it handles really excellently too...

the best car i have ever had for sure good luck with getting one buddy!!! i was going to get an astra vxr cos they look lovely but i was so disappointed because torque means everything in the feel of going fast and the standard vrs has more than a standard vxr ha ha...mine is remapped and i would say i average day to day running 43mpg

i think i am going to go down the loan route really went to horton skoda in lincoln today and wonted to do a deal but the bloke was interested he only got the car in yesterday and i was wanting to do a deal there and then and he wouldnt budge a penny on the price of mine or the skodas but owell it wont to be ,

Don't get me wrong, the fabia vrs is a decent motor that has reasonable performance and good economy, both of which can be made better with a few choice modifications.

But going to the lengths of saying that it is the best hot hatch around, and being mind bendingly quick just seem very misplaced.

There are a lot of very nice performance cars that can be had for second hand vrs money.

umm thats what im unsure about its alot of cash i gotta dish out over 3 years not sure if i wont a car that long ,,,,, what other cars would you recommend?

insurance is the biggy as im only 19

i like the new 206gt 150thp but they havent help there money in the last year
