Well I have just got home after the long three mile journey from North Weald to Harlow....LOL

Thanks to everyone who came for making it a great day, and even the rain could not dampen the spirits.

We will have to make a regular venue of this handing day., as its terrific value for money.

i only got 1 vid of your car tom.

i think the best run you did was when i was in it with you it was so funny :rofl::rofl::rofl:

thanks for that tom

i did get one vid of you but will not upload............

..........yet:P

Indeed just got back. Enjoyed it immensely - wish I'd asked for a passenger ride in the red beast :(

Didn't take a single pic despite having my new camera with me, sorry. Hopefully some others have.

Well done the Carlimits guys, humorous and patient as usual despite the awful weather this afternoon

Home safe and sound. M25 was bad enough, and M11 wasn't much better. M1 was ok, until the warning lights about long delays, so a quick cross country blat to the M40 and all good

Front tyres have taken a beating and will definitely need to be replaced before Euro trip :( (half expected that anyway).

All in all, a good day.

Once again Briskoda proves it's such a nice community to be part of.

Yes I had a great time thrashing the Red Devil up and down the runway, more so in the morning than the afternoon::rofl: but it's the people you meet and the way we help one another in a crisis that puts a smile on my face.

Many thanks to Tom and Carlimits for organising the day, fantastic!!

PS Nick, next time ask or just kick Gerry out of the passenger seat.

Indeed - Em, let us know how you get on with the tyre. Will be interesting to know if it is undamaged...

Was great fun but there is only so many times you can take a high speed corner until it becomes a bit tedious but the afternoon session was a right hoot, great fun on the short course using the handbrake to make the tight turns and getting it sideways on the longer course, made a lot easier due to the surface water left by the rain :D

I learnt a lot in the short space of time and improved steadily in the afternoon which is testiment to the quaility of our instructors

We need to see some pics and vids though, where are they? ;)

Blimey, give me a chance! Motorway was a bugger and I realised that my camera was set on ISO1000 all day so the few photos I did get were grainy as hell....still a couple of hours of editing and I've got this lot (I didn't get the camera out once it started raining)...

Had some good fun, although I really struggled in the wet. It was nice to put some faces to online names.

Thanks to organisers and instructors, had a blast! :D

I am sure I will be able to find an unscrupulous tyre place that will stick it back on for me ;) My arms is also killing me from all the yanking of the handbrake

got two poor quality phone vid of des's and jasons launches there pretty crap so be warned lol

It's amazing the difference in the weather from the morning to the afternoon!

Just got back to my mates so thought I'd log on.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable meal last night, great food and great company (even if the service was a little poor :().

Today was awesome, I could have done the high speed bend for a while longer, but you have to concentrate and work on the subtleties of car control... ;) The afternoon was a right hoon though!!! Did a fair bit of ****ing about, proper fun!!!

All joking aside, I'm more than happy for any evidence to be posted up, but in the freedom section please ;)

Thanks to everyone who turned up - tis a great community we have, but it wouldn't exist if nobody turned up!!! :) Nice to see some familiar faces and some new ones too. I'll try not to leave it too long for the next one, but I'd like to make sure there was a full crew first though for a bit more variety! :)

Just got back although took some time out to meet some VAG guys in Bristol, and also stopped at Tesco. M25 was so bad I ended up going M40 for 10 miles before cutting down the A404 back to the M4. Sure that saved me some time, but it was still busy. M5 spray was atrocious, but the aquapel did it's job and I had good visibility.

Great day out had by me! :D 1:13.9 I think was pretty good for that wet track which shows that slower and tighter did work, and also showed the Peloquin helped (and it sure was giving it at times! )

Thanks to Martin for the spare bed which only cost me a breakfast and a pint. Would not have liked to do that journey twice in the same day.

I shall be reviewing the video footage tomorrow evening. Right now, I'm ready to crash out.

Thanks all for a great day out. Something I reckon I will do more often. And yes, keeping it tight and slower in the turns is about 8 seconds a lap faster IIRC form my previous time there. Going wide and fast is more entertaining mind:cool:

Chris

I got back home around 20:10 roads were pretty clear really just rain the whole way. :(

Thanks again to Tom for organising the day and nice to meet some new faces. It was great fun although I would of liked to of had a few more runs at the high speed bend  still there's always next time. :D

The rain in the afternoon made things pretty interesting thats for sure  and I managed to set a 1:13.7 with the wide and fast approach. :D

Oh and a big :thumbup::thumbup: to the Car Limits guys.:D

Did a fair bit of ****ing about, proper fun!!!

:iagree:

Ahh another great day i missed out on by living oopppp norrfff

3 miles away from Harlow though means it wouldnt be too far to drop in on the mrs if there is another one though

Thanks to everyone that let me have a passenger ride, it was a great day and hopefully next time I will put a bit of money by and actually take part (looking at some of your rubber I think I'd better budget for new tyres as well...)

And a big thankyou to the Carlimits guys

I'll put some photos and vids up at some point, numberplates will be edited out... and no vids of a certain red Mk2... :D
