With facelift lights on. :D

Here's the old ones.....very 'retro'.

During the changeover, lost lots of skin getting to the awkward 8mm nuts that hold them on. Took the chance to clean out the apertures as there was a bit of muck in there.

You do need a small 8mm ring spanner to get at the nuts though...a socket is way too big behind the plastic trim.

And afterwards, all nice and facelifted.

Came to £77.78 inc vat from the dealer (£33.10 plus VAT each). Not 100% sure it was worth that amount of money but hey ho. Seen so many cars with facelifted lights recently it bugged me that mine were the older ones. They do look 10 x better IMO especially on red and SE models.

Very nice looking much better:thumbup: The others were so dated looking.

Very nice

Amkes mine look outdated now :o

Now You have the leather that i want and the rear lights...... tut. ill just have to get another turbo to even things out ;)

Hows things chris?

Looking good, it's always the smallest of things that change the look of the car.

Was gonna say you have a HUGE turbo with 230-odd ponies. Rear lights ain't squat compared to that. :)

Things are good otherwise ta.

Waste of money.

Yup, wonderful ain't it. ;)

Waste of money.

Took me a while to see the differences between the lights.

Good good

Actually i think the fabia looks wicked without any rear lights

This gives me an idea ;)

That guttering needs clearing out.

Looks to me like a hedge in the distance :p

LMFAO

That's my neighbours garage, then behind that are some trees, then there's his house. The angle of the shot makes it looks like he's got a right forest growing on his roof.

I always have preffered the newer lights, they seem to make the car look better.

they look the same....... can someone point out the diference ?

Believe it or not,my nephew prefers the tail lights on my 04 vRS to the ones on his 56 model.

Can't say I give a monkey's either way.

The silver / clear sections are joined on the newer lights and not two seperate sections as they are on the older one's.

Cheers

Dave.

I like the old ones better

To be honest i like both sets as much as each other..... The big thing that i really don't like about the earlier vRS's is the longer vRS badge..... If i had an early model it would be the first thing i swapped.... :)

Cheers

Dave.

In all honesty, the newer ones are easier to keep clean, and hide the age of the car if on a p plate.

I would have tried to source some off a scrapper though instead of paying silly dealer prices.

The naff lexus type ones on my old one only cost £24 for the pair off e-bay.

what you doing with the old ones??

Probably flog 'em....tenner or something plus post. They're not worth anything more than that.

Looks good, and would love to have nicer looking lights, but saving for Derv Doctor Phase3. :)
