No fault codes, no running issues, just greeted with this when I went to change the plugs. God knows how long it's been like it for:eek:

Any one how much one of these will cost roughly ???

TIA

Unlucky, these are known to split :(

I shouldn't think a replacement would be TOO much from skoda....

After ringing round 4 VAG dealers and evn going to one to be told, "it's on the system but I can't find it". I called in my mates bodyshop and he got me one through a new place in Cardiff Volkswagen TPS (trade parts supplies)

So I shall be giving these bunch a whirl from now on as they seem to feeding the other dealers anyway.

All sorted now, Thanks everyone.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Eurojet make a silicone replacement, that should outlast the OE one.

Think it's rubber lined. I'll find the link later!

Spooky lol .................I was in there today ordering exactly the same part for a mates car.

And I'll be in there tomorrow picking it up.:)

wow....exactly the same thing happened to mine about 3 weeks ago! I'm just glad the dealer had one on the shelf for me to pick up!

Now the obvious question.... I presume its some sort of breather pipe? (I'm asking as I'm too lazy to find it in the Haynes manual)..

It is a breather of some sort, I'm not 100% sure what it exact purpose is though,

Mine went months ago...................Now the good news lol

You can all expect to be changing the one under the maniflod soon as they seem too go not long after this one. Mine was about two months later iirc.

Ah nuts. Isn't that the hard one to get at?

Eurojet 1.8T PCV "Y" Hose Replacement

5 year guarantee! Can't be bad.

Trying to find a UK dealer now....

Or they do the twin pack for $95 Eurojet 1.8T PCV Hose Replacement Kit this is what I got for mine :D you can call them on the phone as well and they are really helpful. Exchange rate not the best at the moment though. worked out as £60 all in when I got mine. They will ship in bulk though so maybe a group buy could get the price down? I did ask them about European suppliers but not sure if they have sorted it out yet?

I would definately be in for a group buy on these, if anyone wants to organise it!

Like Fatty said, the two hoses seem to die together! I know mine did.

At some point, I'd like to get under there properly and replace all the hoses with good ones.

You can get under there without removing anything major but it's fiddly as hell. I don't know if I'd rather remove the radiator or inlet manifold to get in there properly though.

I found it best to remove the SAI pipes and tie them back. then the plate with all the VAC junk tied off to the right and took the pipes out from the crankcase vent up. was easier then to assemble them out of the car and feed them back in. (still broke the dipstick though!) I did need to cut off a small piece of pipe thogh to get the best fit.
