Well done, but I can’t help but think this will get buried and you will get a second rate apology. They should make the officer wash your car for a year as punishment.

I have no general issue with traffic cops or the police but there is no excuse for being arrogant. I've only ever had my wrists slapped once for going down a taxi and bus lane only.... in a massive traffic jam, with a bus in front of me and god know how many other various cars around! I genuinely couldn't see the signs (because they were located in the wrong places!) but I should apparently be able to read the writing on the road... having not moved for a good 20 minutes!

Fair cop I'd done wrong without realising it but as in your case the guy in question was a complete a$$. Instead of telling me what I'd done and getting me out of the jam I was asked a series of retarded questions no one could answer without sounding cocky!

Good on you anyway, well done for standing your ground!

kindness, courtesy and respect cost nothing..

Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt, but the hen-party in the limo had to finish their evening in 2 smelly taxis :D:D !!

 yes i got the certificate here so iam very polite taxi driver........coughs:rofl:

Do they not realise that they will be treated with the same level of respect they dish out.

Something somebody sent me recently, enjoy!:

While I was driving down the A1 the other day, (going a little faster than I should have been) I passed under a bridge only to see a copper on the other side with a radar gun laying in wait. The copper pulled me over, walked up to the car, and with that classic patronising smirk, asked:

"Runway too short?"

To which I replied, "I'm late for work."

To which he asked, "What do you do?"

"I'm a rectum stretcher," I responded.

The copper was surprised and confused. "A what? A rectum stretcher?? And just what does a rectum stretcher do?"

"Well," I said, "I start by inserting one finger, then I work my way up to two fingers, then three, then four, then with my whole hand in, work side to side until I can get both hands in, and then I slowly but surely stretch the hole, until it's about 6 feet."

Then the copper asked questioningly and cautiously, "And just what do you do with a six-foot a*sehole?"

To which I politely replied, "You give him a radar gun and park him behind a bridge..."

Speeding ticket: £105.00

Court costs: £45

Look on copper's face: Priceless....

For policing there's a*seholes, for everything else, there's MasterCard !!!

I think this guy should stand to lose his job for that attitude, or at least have a very formal telling off. That or have one of those xenon transformer things shoved up his *** while live :D

Loose his job................are you nuts? Yeah he was a plonker, but the facts have been told to us by one side only, everyone see's things and interprets attitude differently, I think most of the young people I meet are A holes, but there probably not!

I read through this whole thread (again) because I thought the latest post was going to be an update from Phil with an 'answer'.

Well Phil; what happened? :)

Yep - we need an update!

He's inside doing time for having factory fitted xennons
