I also got pulled over today.

I think I would certainly be looking for an apology, else it might well be worth mentioning it to a newspaper. Had you not been more knowledgable about the specification of your vehicle you may well have paid the fine and accepted it.

So much for looking out for one and other as well, I would have though that the mention that you were 'in the job' would have been enough to see you on your way with nothing more than a warning.

Actually, thinking about it myself I would let it roll. Let them request the pleasure of your attendance in court. The officer should also be required to attend as I well I should think if you plead not guilty.

Piture on his face when the beak tears him a new orifice for wasting everyones time will be priceless.

FFS!!! May be worth having a word with your own forces traffic dept and see what they make of it. Also have a word with your skipper, they may be a requirement within your own force to declare such things :(

Black Rats, dont you just love 'em ???????????

what a T£$T,

no offence but I hate monkeys like that, Hats off to you I wouldnt of been able to keep my cool.

If I ever get stopped then I am honest, but when I know that something is right then I dont back down, NO WAY. If i am proved wrong then fair one but even when you showed him and the pig still persisted.

his name wasnt richard ? was it.

...I showed him my headlight switch, and then compared it to the switch in his car - I then explained that mine is lacking the load adjuster wheel because xenon headlights are automatically controlled...

Isn't auto-adjustment a legal requirement? In which case the lack of adjuster wheel on the switch unit should have been sufficient evidence that it came with HIDs from the factory! Good to know our enforcing powers know what's what when they pull drivers over...

Ahh this is why i love some traffic officers. Rude and unwilling to listen to what your saying.

Id phone the local station and to contest it because if are saying its illegal then surely they would need to prove it wouldnt they as the copper would have no equipment in his car apart from his genetically modified eyes anyway

Apparently he had been parked up in a car park which I had driven past. I didn't notice him though.

Did he ask for your autograph :P:P

Go to court imo, it will be worth it just to drag it out a few months, then it will look good in the papers. Then ask for a public apology were he has bend and kiss your hairy bean bag.

HTH:rofl:

bend and kiss your hairy bean bag.

:eek::rofl::rofl:

Good for you matey. Although I think your lights are illegal too. I can see from here.

Please send me your address so I can send you another ticket.

just out of interest, what offence did he write on the ticket??

What are you doing on here at this time of day? Get out there and catch some bounders and no gooders just like our OP ;)

you might want to show the letter to your local skoda garage and get them to write a enginneers report and then submit your own claim to the police :wink: i would also consider contacting the forces professional standards division too.

Sounds like Officier Dibble was being a kn0b.

I haven't been pulled for my lights & I've passed a few marked cars (usually parked up on the Guis dual carriageway near Flatts Lane).

Hope you get it sorted in the end Phil.

What a muppet.

I'm finding it hard to contain my rage more down to the sheer arrogance and rudeness, it costs nothing to be polite!

Please let us know the outcome

You haven't changed your career have you Steve? :D

could you refuse to accept the ticket on the spot?

I agree with Stu, take it to court :D

could you refuse to accept the ticket on the spot?

Well the police are the all wonderful all knowing Gods. (No offence to any officers reading this :D). I suspect if you tried to be difficult with them by doing that, they'd return the favour of being difficult with you with arrest etc.

The guy was clearly a cockeral, hope you get an apology off him once he is clearly proven wrong, good luck

so let him arrest you in this situation, will only make him look even more stupid.

Should be on the ticket ;)

What a twonk. Hope his boss hands him his P45 anally.

I'd like to know what the legal ramifications are of one officer of the the law ramming another officer of the law's notebook up his own jacksie?

Think it's still legal in Cornwall and parts of Brighton & Hove :P

just leave it for the 28 days and then opt for court, it be an interesting court case (if it goes that far) and just make sure you have your expenses planned out ready to hand over to the judge when the case gets dismissed.

personally i would be ringing round the press.. one of the red tops would love a "police persecute skoda driver" story.....
