you might want to show the letter to your local skoda garage and get them to write a enginneers report and then submit your own claim to the police i would also consider contacting the forces professional standards division too.

Well the police are the all wonderful all knowing Gods. (No offence to any officers reading this ). I suspect if you tried to be difficult with them by doing that, they'd return the favour of being difficult with you with arrest etc.

just leave it for the 28 days and then opt for court, it be an interesting court case (if it goes that far) and just make sure you have your expenses planned out ready to hand over to the judge when the case gets dismissed.
