Big Little Car

Featured Replies

Having started my Skoda ownership with an Octy estate, then downsized to an Octy hatch, and now a Fabia vRS, I was a little worried about fitting everything in for my annual camping holiday.

But with a little help from a roof box, we managed to get two adults, two kids (10 & 8) and this lot into the car.

I was impressed

Impressive! :D

Yeah i miss the relative capaciousness of my Fabia, got a Fiat Grande Punto Sporting 3door now, we manage but just, the dog isnt happy being cramped lol. Was thinking of a roof box for our camping trips, but as we dont have a garage or shed there would be no where to store it when it wasnt being used. How much was it if you dont mind me asking?

dude!!! fair play,. I struggled camping with just me and the boy. I take my hat off to you sir.

p.s... cant fit the sodding buggy in the boot properly after having a mahoosive megane before

How did the kids find travelling in the roof box? :D

I don't see the kitchen sink there either!

I like those roof bars! ;)

Thats alot of clobber

what the....?

how did...?

is that some sort of krypton factor puzzle? i put a flat pack of draws in mine and it seemed to be full

although it is bigger than you think. when i had mine as a taxi i never had to put seats down for anything

Wheres the picture of it full then?

Thats well impressive to get all that in there

Car Tetris is great fun.

I miss my Octy for the huge boot but my Passat (B6) isn't exacty tiny in that department, it's the opening that is the limiting factor only being a saloon.

Good job fitting all that in.

What is missing from the photo is little Katies' car, come on own up Andy :D

 - twin Fabias! You could tape them together :D

Yeah, we should really have an 'after' photo as well

Steve

How long did it take to pack all that gear!!

seriously think id have trouble packing that much in my estate .....how much of that was sat on the front passenger's lap..?....

The front passenger was also in the roof box :)

yes, very impressive, would also like to see "after" picture

Nice bit of packing there, Andy

..but I will take issue with you about the claim there were '2  adults and 2 kids' :D

I was amazed 9 months ago when transporting Daughter and her 'gear' to Uni just how much we got in. And was worried it wouldn't move off

It took it like a proper little trooper - still tons of pull on motorway and if anything felt better 'settled' at the rear with all the weight in.

I paid about £70 second hand - worth keeping an eye on your local paper etc as they pop up now and then.

The Roof Box Company: sales and hire of Thule roof boxes and other brands of roof boxes, roof bars and bike carriers is one of the biggest online retailers and currently has a sale on.
