Fabia vRS with eibach kit

Featured Replies

Had them fitted last thursday by Awesome GTI. Top place, very friendly staff. Only downside is I have to take it back next saturday for a re-alignment as the steering wheels not straight.

Kit contains springs and dampers (thanks alex )

The car now rides the road much nicer but firmer. The roll from the orginal suspension is reduced resulting in more grip in both wet and dry weather. The steering feels lighter around the central postion but once turned into a corner the weighty ness comes back.

Overall I'm well pleased :D

:D Maybe next month.

Certainly does help in both the looks and the handling department. Doesn't look like they have fully 'settled in' yet either. Mine dropped slightly lower than that after a while.

Faboka how much is the kit mate and what was the cost of fitting?

Cheers

Are the springs the vRS specific ones, or the TDI ones? The suggestion on here previously was that the vRS ones were very stiff and that the TDI ones were the ones to go for.....dunno.gif

Strange, it's got the slightly 'nose-down' look normally assocated with fitting Eibach TDI springs. Did you specify the vRS ones?

I assumed the springs would be the vRS ones. But the thought that they are the TDI ones has crossed my mind with its slightly nose-down look. Think I'll PM Alex just to see which ones he ordered. At the time the vRS ones might not of been out. Either way its still better over the standard setup.

Mine has a slight nose-down look too, but I think I'm running TDI springs (on a TDI). I suspect they just need to settle in :) Will get some photos of mine and post them up later.....

When I spoke to Alex, he definitely got hold of the vRS springs as he was saying Eibach UK didn't carry any and they had to be imported (from France?). Now, I wonder if I've got the TDI ones or the vRS ones ;)

Chris

Now you just need brakes, remap and some decent wheels/tyres :D

Brakes? Who needs them :D Remap is always good

Been tryin to get john to get some new wheels but he's a picky ba5tard and he only likes 5hite wheels as well ;) (sorry john but you know it's true :) )

John's not let me drive it since the new suspension's been fitted I think he's worried that I may 'test' it :D hehe

I could have been really badgist and put something about Volvo drivers needing brakes to avoid knocking off motorcyclists but I'm not labelling them all with the same tag yet. :D

Obviously you have never seem me drive my volvo round country lanes... i think john will concur that my driving style is not that of your 'typical' volvo driver

The funniest is when my dad upsets VTR drivers at lights with his 940 turbo which is pretty damn fast for a big car, he's also done a bit of motorsport in his time and he scares me to death the way he throws the RWD estate round corners... something i feel i could never do  and if all else fails just run them off the road  hehe

Anyway I have now delved into a new realm of old man driving with my Rover.... brum brum .... lol

The handling is second to none..... no actually it's just none

And to think they call all these space vehicles 'rovers' - it's no wonder they always fail. :D
