Hi folks!

A friend on octane.ie suggested that I check out your site, been a VW fan ever since I was a VDubling, and I'm interested in replacing the runabout with a Skoda RS or TDi in the next while (just as soon as I have this damn loan paid off!) I was checking out the prices in the Pistonheads classifieds, and I can't believe what good value that's out there! Even after I pay the dreaded VRT,it'll be cheaper to picked up an quick estate for a heck of a lot less than a GTi would cost locally!

Anyways, I'm off to catch up on all the faqs and other newbie stuff, hope to talk to you soon!

Cheers, Lads! there's a hell of a lot to take in, so many variations, I'm still laughing at how much more we're paying for our cars here.

EG. 2001 Octy 1 110 TDI Elegance Estate, 79,000 miles - 4095 on PH (or €5100ish)

VRT - €1118 ish

Looking at carzone.ie, the only similar model here has about 120,000 on the clock and they're asking for €8500! Mental!
