I reckon 4wd could have saved him - he just needed to keep his foot in so it could do its stuff ESP might have saved him but I reckon he'd turned that off as it interferes too much

Wonder if it got towed out onto the road for insurance claim purposes. Seems to be a bit of an "accident blackspot" just outside Castle Combe

i think his balls were too big and all you lot giving him grief, it was an accident and i am pretty sure he didn't go out and plan on crashing the car
