I've posted a couple of threads on here, but I thought I'd better properly introduce myself.

It looks like I've got my heart set on a Fabia vRS. The Ibiza TDI Sport I have is nice to drive but it's becoming nothing out of the ordinary & the Fabia is a bargain car.

I test drove a Fabia vRS a couple of weeks ago & I couldn't believe how smooth is was compared with my Ibiza (it's the 110 non PD TDI). The spec is nice in the Fabia & ideally I would like Xenon headlights & cruise control.

Some might know me from SeatCupra.Net & will also know I like to modify my cars, but in a subtle way. Initial thoughts are suspension drop, remap & 17" wheels (I like the look of the Octavia vRS alloys).

Hopefully, I will be going to see a Black Magic Fabia with Xenons at the weekend.

Any tips or pointers to look for?

:wave: Suspension drop - eibach pro dampers and springs.

Remap - well, plenty of choice there!

Alloys - loads of 5 x 100 alloys in 17" about, and the "octy wheels on a fabia" has been done now so may be you'll want to try something different?

Xenons are top drawer , I'd also go for the third rear headrest, sideairbags, and the airbag deactivation switch. When you come to sell it's resale would be better because of the safety features.

Personally I wouldn't get a black one, common as muck and show the dirt.

If mine is written off I'm going for red one this time - just my preference.

If you do a search for "eibach" there should be a thread somewhere. A member was able to get hold of them for a good price, and then they just needed fitting (about 2 - 3 hours garage labour)

Grrrr...... I went to see the Fabia vRS for sale on Sat afternoon & it had been sold that very morning.

The guy who bought it put it on finance, so there's a chance it might fall thro'. But I'm looking else where now. Might go for a brand new one with everything I want on it.

Well I've gone & done it!

Placed on order for a brand new Black Magic Fabia vRS with Xenon headlights & cruise control.

Now I have to wait 8-10 weeks for delivery. :(
