Amazed also with that as a first car! Firstly, getting it insured (was it his/her own policy, or named driver?) and secondly - talk about getting thrown in at the deep end! I think it might have been best starting with something a little lower down the power, speed and handling tree

Way cheaper to buy than an Elise although now his insurance is likely to rocket or impose restrictions. Looks like he is on track for Micra 1.0 town!!!

That'll be a write off for sure. The crash structure alone is £680, add in a few quid for the rad tray and about £1400 plus 8 hours prep for a clam. Headlights will relieve you of a kidney and the small parts that you find you need will make you cry.
