This is what is left of my cousins car, it was his first car since passing his test and we all thought this exact thing would happen. Thankfully he is ok, just an even more massive insurance bill coming his way! Anyone tell what it used to be ?? :)

VX220? I first thought it was an Elise, but my guess is a VX........

looks a lot like a VX to me too - FIRST car? Jesus H!

Was also thinking elise or VX220.

I'm edging towards the VX just because it was cheaper to insure.

How much of the bath tub is broken?

Glad that he is alright! :D

A VX for a first car - Geez. Struth Bruce!

Does look VX like. How did he manage to buy and insure a VX as his first car. Unless he is loaded.

I'm with VX220 as well, and no I didn't look at everyone else's answers first :D

Amazed also with that as a first car! Firstly, getting it insured (was it his/her own policy, or named driver?) and secondly - talk about getting thrown in at the deep end! I think it might have been best starting with something a little lower down the power, speed and handling tree :)

Glad he's OK though....

Steve

I can't help thinking it's the best thing for a 220.

Glad your cousin is okay, tell him to get a 106.

it looks like an elise.

I'm guessing it's an Elise too, looks too 'rounded' to be a VX220 but I could be wrong lol.

Tell him to get a Felicia!!!

I've had mine for years and avoids hitting things :D

Way cheaper to buy than an Elise although now his insurance is likely to rocket or impose restrictions. Looks like he is on track for Micra 1.0 town!!!

VX220. It's got VX220 wheels on it. How long has he had it and what happened?

That'll be a write off for sure. The crash structure alone is £680, add in a few quid for the rad tray and about £1400 plus 8 hours prep for a clam. Headlights will relieve you of a kidney and the small parts that you find you need will make you cry.

Not sure what it was, I know what it is, its FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF.......................................................... :P

if it is a vx im sure that "Imran" wil have it as good as new and uncrashed soon

Only mildly crashed, good as new ;)

I remember the 'Imran' thread from another forum. Does anyone have a link to it?

deffo a vx220, the bonnet vent, wheels, door mirors give it away ;)

I really like them :D the turbo ones are pretty rapid :D:D:D

it looks a nasty crash though :( the insurance company is going to love that !

I'm saying a vx220 as well, can tell from the wheels.

Whoa!

Most people don't like the V grille but did he have to cut so much off for his big mouth? Better to just fit the Opel Speedster grille and pretend you're in Project Gotham! :)

thats a vx220 turbo. not cheap to insure or to buy. is he a millionare.
