vRS Tyre Prices

Featured Replies

Hi - (nice to be back after a lapse)!

Got a shock the other day. Had a puncture (with a screw) and took it down to the nearest repairers (Kwik Fit). They demonstrated that the hole was about 5mm outside the permissable repair zone. Was quoted

www.mytyres.net jolly good and the prices are excellent :D

Jim,

I think it comes down to tyre sizes.

I recently replaced all four on my RS with Michelin Pilot Sports, cost me

I've got an Octavia vRS with 205/55/R16w tyres. i currently have Pirelli P6000 on but they need changing. I find the Pirelli's aren't very good in the wet, does anyone else find this or is it just me?!

I'm not sure what tyres to go for next, i've spoken to two tyre garages and they both recommended the Avon ZZ3's at

Can thoroughly recommend Kumho KU-19s at 225/45/17. Asymmetric,

Re Avon ZZ3's.

I put a pair of these on my front RS alloys before i went to Czech, and after 2000+ miles i'm rather impressed.

Nice & quiet, good in both wet & dry and a jolly nice tread pattern too ;)

Shame i paid WAY over the odds for them, but i had to have new tyres for the trip & did not have time to wait for delivery.

Think i'll put a set on the back too eventually. :)

I have recently replaced my org. tyres with Pirelli P Zero's keeping the org. size. Cost in total just under

yeah i got my goodyear eagles F1's for

One thing is undeniable.

The standard Dunlops are hopeless.

I only got 10k out of my front Toyos, 20k at the back, compared with 12.5k and 20k respectively on the original Dunlops :(

10K miles ...

Thats because of those awful Linlithgow back roads!!! Your all nuts up there!

.. :P

P.s. I'm head up your way next week.. staying just outside Lithgie.. So look

out for another black Octy vRS...

MMMMM the Star and Gutter, and the 4 Mary's...

cheers

Good year F1's cam top it tha auto Express test nothing could touch them in the wet. I have run Good years on my old Mondeo doing motorway miles and got 57000 out of four. using rotation to stop the fronts waering too quick.. dont save much as you then need to replace all four.

Thanks for the replies guys. I've decided to go for the Goodyear Eagle F1's. Does anyone know the cheapest place for them in the Chesterfield, Derbyshire area?

Also, does anyone know any good websites for Ocatavia vRS parts? e.g. air filters, dump valves, induction kits, etc.

Thanks.
