I actually double checked this with SC before I upgraded to the Stage 2, they say you dont need the pump for this map. only for applications over 280bhp would you need it. Their map is only for 260bhp but from what I've read it a bit of a pot luck, some have needed a new pump for even modest gains where as others have been fine for stage 2 Revo.

My understanding was that you didnt actually 'need' the pump for highish power but by having REVO stage 2 code on the car WITH the uprated pump meant the mapping had the potential to produce very decent torque increases - iirc around 20lb/ft was quoted from a before and after run by simply doing the pump internals and tweaking the map to take advantage of it. Im sure Keith at JKM recently stated that the standard factory pump in our cars was the identicle unit fitted to the current S3 as standard.

My cam follower showed signs of wear after just 2,500 miles so JKM swapped it out. I'll be asking them to do this every 10k service now.

Yes the Octy pump is the same as the pump used on the K04 cars.
