Deer Oh Dear

Featured Replies

Saturday night was an eventful night for me. Hit a deer and it's destroyed the front end of my car:

Quite a lot of damage, the intercooler is fubar, aswell as the bumper, wing, headlight, and a few other bits and bobs. Absolutly devastated.

Yikes

Ahh that's not too bad. I thought you were going to say that you woke up this morning and someone had painted your wheels green!! :P

Been there myself, scary! Hope the car doesn't cost too much to put right.

ooo not a good weekend then! hope it can be sorted without too much expense and hassle

Unlucky :( I've had a few near-misses with deer myself, hate the damn things.

Hope it gets sorted and glad you're alright...a deer went through the windscreen of my mate's car

I like Venison!

I feel for you! How fast were you doing? Deer looks well mangled! I hit a deer with a mk2 polo doing 65mph and that was fubar!

Could take heart the bonnet appears intact at least. :) That was a big deer as well!

I believe that that is technically poaching - get your mate travelling behind you to pick it up and it's legit.

A friend of mine was following someone once who hit a deer - it hit the front of the car, went over the top and landed in front of my friend's Land Rover - the first thing he did was check that the lady was ok, then the deer went in the back of the Landy :D

Consider yourself lucky, a distant relative was put into a coma when the deer she hit came through the windscreen. Hope you get it all sorted - just be thankful it wasn't worse.

Is that classed as 'an act of God' which the insurance wont pay out on? Hope not.

Mmmmmmmmmmm, Road Kill.

Hope you get it all sorted with ease.

Yes it is technically poaching:P

I doubt very much you'd be charged if the police had happened along, Hardly makes economic sense to do £600 worth of damage to your car for £100 worth of venison:rolleyes:

Sorry to hear this.

Hope it all gets fixed soon.

Must have been a scary moment.

Folks, nothing wrong with green wheels.
