Had mine installed friday at £99. Gave them a quick tinkle just now telling then that I was considering cancelling and re-ordering, so they gave me £50 back :thumbup::thumbup:

I think thats very noble of them considering I was quite prepared too pay £99 2wks ago

I keep hearing rumour of them binning the £10pm fee soon as well, which would be nice.

Nice work.

Mine will be ordered today when the boss gets time to make the call, I have my tame Sky engineer waiting for my call and he'll bring my new box round - he's been 'holding' one on his van for a few weeks now waiting for the right moment ;)

What box did you get?

I think it is just a rumour I'm afraid - For the moment. This recent price drop will spark a lot of interest so that will tide them over for a few months for revenue.

Thats a shame, not worth upgrading for me atm really as i dont pay for sports or movies, if they binned the £10 fee i will be upgrading asap.

Samsung, seems ok atm no lip sync issues (although not run through an amp) ffw and rwd all good. BBC in SD a bit poor whilst viewing Eastenders:confused:(affect swmbo more than me though :rofl:)

Rush HD channel is simply stunning as it it HD 24/7 others are a bit hit and miss but mostly full HD not upscaled. Docu's look particulary good I must say :thumbup:

You could be waiting a while I reckon :thumbdwn::thumbdwn:

I'd be happy paying £100, but not with the monthy fee as well.

I'll stick with normal TV for now.

Would that still work seeing as they have dropped the price ???

Doesn't say that it won't work. Sky's website also boasts £50 of M&S vouchers however looking at the T&C's that's only if you join before yesterday, despite the advertising being plastered all over their site. I think once the order's gone through I'll be calling them and trying to get the £50 out of them

Only for NEW customers ;)

Nice work.

I have my tame Sky engineer

Picked my box up last night

Still not plugged in as the boss has to finish watching the currently saved programs on the other box.

I'd seen on the AVForums that there was a big new promo coming up as Sky had taken on extra engineers etc.....

Also if you get it online rather than via the phone you get another £10 off as you get 1 months HD subs free.

Does anyone know if they take your old sky+ box away when they fit the HD box???? I'm not wanting multiroom at the mo but may want it later so don't want them to take the current box away with them etc...

Cheers

Dave.

You get to keep your existing box Dave. They were also offering the 1 month credit over the phone as well.

Just applied online and got an e-mail back saying they will be in touch in the next few days.

Cheers

Dave.

You should get another email in about 24 hours which contains a link to allow you to place your order.

Do the HD boxes have 3 inputs, so you can record 2 channels and watch another? Or is it still 2 inputs like sky+ is?

Still 2 tuners AFAIK

Just had another e-mail back regarding my order........ They say it will be approx 3 months till they contact me again with my upgrade link etc..... :thumbdwn:

Think i might try phoning them later this week to see if they also say i'm looking at a 3 month waiting list.

Cheers

Dave.

Ouch

Wonder why that is.

Speaking to a Sky IT Geek friend of mine last night, the initial plan was to offer both the box and the package for free as long as you bought the top TV package up until about a month ago, they had put all the infrastructure into place and only realised they would need 4000+ engineers to cope with the demand. pulled the plug on it for the deal they have in place now.
