Remapped RS TDi CR Dyno Results!

Featured Replies

As the title says. I got my Remapped RS TDi on the RR today and I'm fairly happy with the results.

200.5 Bhp and 351 lb/ft of torque or the equivalent of 476 Nm of torque.

Peak Bhp at 3,700rpm and Peak torque comes in at 2000rpm:D

Hya - something is very wrong with attachments at the moment :(

I just checked the attachments. Working fine for me.....

Nice results - especially the torque, very nice figure that

Hmmm - it knows there should be attachments but nothing showing for me, not sure what is going on :(

sorry i cant see attachments either ?

No problem with attachments in Firefox

im using firefox but cant see / open any attachments either

Attachments fine here - Mac with Firefox

How on earth do you get all that torque to the road.....? I struggle with the standard 260ftlb on my PDi 170

On the attachment thing - there is a problem to do with the site, Colin is aware. Nothing to do with the browser as I use all of them ;)

THe issue is that some people can see the attachments, others cannot, depending on who posted it and a few other permission related problems. Colin is on the case :)

Curious that it seems to be very 'diesel like' on power/torque curves with peak power done 500rpm on OE spec. Surely one of the benefits of the spec of the PD170, and now CR170, engines is that peak power is further up the rev range at c. 4,200rpm.

My BlueFined PD170 with K&N 57i intake actually produces peak power at 4,500rpm.

I must say though that 351lbft/476Nm is a stonking level of torque. :D:thumbup:

That looks very good (according to the written data, no attachment for me either ;)).

What wonders me, is that your peak power is at 3700 already. What are the gear ratios for the CR. If they are the same as for the PD, than a CR will be the wrong car for me.

Depends on how strong the power tails off, after 3700.

I would rather have it at over 4250. As 4250 gives it normal topspeed (225km/h) and at 4500 it would be 238km/h.

Curious to see your diagramm (as soon as the server problems are over).

@Bahnstormer, we have pretty much the same cars at home

Now I can see the attachments. Nice curve and the 170bhp at the wheels say more than the calculated 200. Why did they break off at 4200 already? Doesnt the CR easily run up to almost 5000?

Power holds on strong up to 4200, would like to know how it falls off after that. (than it should be a good autobahnstormer ;)

I'm getting a blank attachments box at the moment.

Now got attachments.

Anyone have any comments on how this much power would affect a DSG box - if at all ?

Attachments now visible - thanks to all concerned

Colin is working on it, but as it is 1am I dont know how long he'll continue today ;) (well, this evening).

It will get sorted no doubt :)

Just worked with Colin a bit more, indirectly, and it looks like it may be some DNS caching.

That sure is a lot of torque - can the standard clutch cope with that?

How many miles are on the car?

If it is anything like mine then another 10k miles and you'll liberate a further 4-5 BHP.

The torque is stonking! PD remaps seem to achieve about 315 lbft.

You might aswell order a few new front tyres now.

350Ib/ft of torque, jesus christ. you must need balet dancer feet to keep the tyres from spinning up in the wet with that much torque.

I would a assume the remap has limited the torque at low speed in low gearing?

Lets hope so for the sake of the gearbox too!

If thats an accurate dyno reading then that is a whopping result.:)

Anyone who didn't wait for the CR engine over the PD 170 i would be kicking myself right now. That CR engine is so quite. I heard the engine idling yesterday and you would find it hard to tell if it was a petrol or a diesel under the bonnet. I have never heard a diesel so quiet.

Having driven both I would say however that the PD is probably a little bit quicker though.
