If you're getting an estate, I'd strongly advise getting rear parking sensors. The view out the back is not great if you're trying to see low things behind the car!

Also, if you want to play an iPod (or similar) through the car stereo, the jumbo box is nice!

Climatronic is pretty good, not so much for the dual zone, more for the fact it's automatic and you don't have to do an awful lot once you find a temp you like.

Leather steering wheel is nice too :)

If you can find one with an MFD3 already in it it would be a bonus - the green-lit touch screen and display layout is gorgeous, and you get the option of CD's, DVD's, SD card, hard drive - oh ,and, of course, sat nav

Don't get a sunroof they always leek in the end or not so long! I would never have one after the last cars before the octavia.

Electric memory seats. Got an L&K and of all the toys this is the most useful as SWMBO and I have quite different settings. If your the only driver then no point.

Unfortunately the leccy seats aren't available on the vRS which is a shame really as they have an extra adjustment that the manual seats don't have.

Failing that, retro fit. Easy to do and they are getting cheaper all the time. I think there is one on ebay for a shade over £800 and the seller is the same one that sold me my MFD2 so he is kosher :D

Xenons and the best ICE combo you can afford.:P

The rest is personal preference;

As many of the optional electrics if youre a gadget freak.

Bigger alloys, if you dont mind the extra noise.

Cruise, had it on previous car but never really used it.

etc, etc, it will all depend on what you will use.

:thumbup:That's what I did - £725 inc postage from naviandbmwparts - Stoofa has been putting a weekly update in the audio section with links to Skoda versions available on ebay - I emailed an offer for mine which was less than the lowest bid as it hadn't sold close to the end of the auction, and he accepted it

Totally out of my hands now i'm afraid.

Car modding funds have been transferred to the pram and cot budget

I'm sure i'll get round it one way or another

Swine!!!!! :D

Not jealous at all you understand.

DSG, maxidot, cruise, did I say DSG, oh, and last but not least, DSG :D

Not driven a DSG car as yet , so its a possibility

Is MFD3 an option?? the standard unit in our diesel Octy is dire

I have an overnight test of the new Superb tomorrow but i'm thinking I fancy a VRS estate more, never driven the 2.0 tfsi either but i know the dealer has one on the forecourt so i can try that.

Think i need to go petrol as i dont do the mileage my wife does and i'm sure i would have dpf problems if i had the diesel plus the 170hp engine isnt great too much power in one big lump it struggles to get the power down

You'd be surprised. I 'drive' cars on the CC. And there's a definite improvement in fuel economy: the computer can regulate things much better than your right foot can.

Really? Ok, how does cruise control tell that you need to lift slightly but not brake for that corner coming up, or to let that Bayerishe Mist Wagon clear you before you pull out to overtake the MLOCer in the Rover?

Just missed out on one from same seller by £3 on ebay yesterday ... grrr

Went for £753 plus postage so you got a good deal.

On my 2007 Elegance I opted for

Maxidot + MFSW

17" pegasus alloys inc sports suspension

Curtain Airbags

Tyre pressure monitor ( was only £40)

Xenons - never be without again!

I've never had a factory fit sunroof that's leaked, just the crappy glass aftermarket tin-opener jobs! It's only ever the drainage holes that block up cos they're not looked after properly which leads to possible water ingress. Easy to fix.

Keep trying - you'll get one sooner or later - I think mine finished in the early of the morning, which helped. Went on tonight and he doesn't seem to be advertising any Skoda ones at the moment.

Skoda specific MFD2s and 3s only seem to appear every now and again, presumably the supply isn't consistent...........

Could try sending him a message on one of the other auctions he has running to see if he'd be able to let you know when he might have more available :)

Thats a sterling idea sir

When the time is right I'll drop him a line and see what he can do.
