Blimey, I was gonna invite you lot to our camping weekend in August.

But it looks like you're a right bunch of hooligans!

We are a quite bunch, just dont p--- us off as we got a gillywibble and will use him :D

Seriously ive never been to a campsite like it or had to stay up all night to watch over everyone. Still every camp meet is memorable. New Forest for the rain, Lakes for Colins sump and this one for being twinned with Baghdad. All i can say is just tell everyone you know not to ever consider using the place.

*thinks about applying for a refund..... ;)

I would Dave, they might take things a bit more seriously if everyone does. Angela didnt hear anything back today and if she doesnt by Tuesday we will be going to Northampton Trading Standards, I personally would skip them and issue a claim through the local small claims court. ;) im sure cumbria will be a bit to far for them to travel ;)

Here is the reply I got from Billing when I got home last night...

Anyone fancy a free weekend to ensure Billing is a great place to go!!

Don't fancy doing a 800 mile round trip to find out it's the same as before.

Thank you for taking the trouble to write, albeit I have had a similar email detailing these events. A result of which has instigated a full investigation and measures in place to prevent this appalling behaviour reoccuring. Whether offences are committed by residents, campers or static holiday makers everyone will get one warning then asked to leave.

Obviously this weekend was a typically lively one hence the reason everyone was informed prior to arrival- however this despite what you have heard is not the norm for car shows- It's extremely unfortunate but having a public right of way through the park does allow entry for some of life's unsavoury characters that said we are working very closely with the police

to prevent this rehappening.

I would therefore like for you to give us the benefit of the doubt to prove to you Billing can be and is a very popular Holiday Park and for that I am more than happy to offer a free weekends camping at a weekend of your choice subject to availability

Regards

Karen Joseph

Holiday Sales Manager

Where do you think I should go with replying to Billing in regards to this??

Here are some of my pics from the weekend.

Cheers

Davy

i would just say you would prefer a refund as you live in scotland, sinister got a reply and says what she said is a contradiction of what security and black audi man has said. so im awaiting to see what she replies with. Personally if they give us a refund i will let it drop if not it be a case of newspapers, trading standards all being informed and then citizens advice centres advice to start a small claims against them.

Davy just remind them you live in scotland you rarely venture this far down and to come down to take them up on their offer and the risk of it happening is just not happening so could they kindly refund you and if you want to say anyone who was under the name of briskoda then it be the end of things. ;)

Yeah going to be wording another e-mail tomorrow.

Davy

I would threaten to deploy the 'Gillywibble' unless all demands for a refund are met forthwith :P

still the next one will be more peaceful with more to do.

I took the time to email her back to remind her that the audi who she has advised me is driven by a policeman, was actually only the tip and a small part to my complaint, and that there are alot of witnesses that can comfirm that the copper, pushed him over and this is how the incident became out of hand.

but lets see that if as he is a resident and a copper who gets the belief!

he wouldnt show me his warrent badge which lead me to beleive that he isnt a constbulary cop but like security said a RAF cop and probably more likely a warrant officer who from what ive heard never have people answer back or stand up to them as they usually get their a$$es kissed by the soldiers or they spend time in the glasshouse.

Yup.

No further news other that what I've given you already on the police front. Use that how ever you can.

cheers mate, just makes me laugh that the residents still live on the site even after seeing some of the posts on the billing forum.

Well an update, after contacting the credit card company a couple of weeks ago (after the last reply from biling) I got a letter through this morning telling me they have refunded the payment of £40 after explaining to the credit card company the weekend in baghdad. Even through i explained it was paid for months before hand they looked into it and refunded me the money  so anyone else who paid with credit card it might be worth contacting your credit card company and tell them what little sucess you having with biling and that you would like them to intervene and dont forget to tell the credit company everything that happened.

Great result.

I thought the landrover folks werent using billing this year? Last week or so seen lots of AA directional signs to the Landrover owners event at billing.....
