Powerflex dogbone bushes

Featured Replies

mine had a nyloc on, maybe suggesting that someones had it out before?? gonna have it off again and nip it right up though after reading rest of threads

Hmmm.....pretty sure mine the nut on mine was like a square shaped nut with a lug that fitted the dogbone one way only rather than an actual nut

mine was nothing like that mate, just a normal nyloc. Was an absolute **** to get it to hold still while you tightened it. Will take it off again at weekend and investigate.

In the end i tightened it to just short of fully tight and the vibrations aren't anywhere near as bad as thought they would be. I also used thread lock but will check to see if the bolt has moved at all next time the car is in the air but i very much doubt it has.

Yep just like mine.

As not much of the bolt goes through it I felt safer with a bit of thread lock.

Hi all,

I also fitted the Powerflex Dogbone bush, it came with the flattish tapped nut thats shown in the pic, i did tighten it up as hard as I could on assembly, (worried about it coming undone).

The vibration did surface at tickover but as has been said earlier almost vanished after about a month of bedding in. The wheel hopping when giving it the beans has vanished, gear change seems crisper. Over all Im very pleased with it.

I would say it is one of the very cost effective mods for improving your cars handling, and a very quick / easy thing to fit.

NB: I did smother all the contact surfaces in Copper-ease grease to avoid squeeking in July last year when it was fitted
