exactly what i was thinking... or at least sell it to the butcher and get some money back to cover its expenses.

I wondered why everyone was looking in a strange way at me this morning when I drove through the town!!

Amazingly its head went right through the bumper on the corner. I got it all out and heated the bumper a little and it all popped back.

I am gutted a little as it means I lose some of my No Claims Discount.

I was thinking of contacting Heston Bloomin'heck, seeing if he wanted to serve it with the bumper attached. Pheasant and Custard!! Yum!

Its amazing how much damage they can do, did you hit it at about 60? My mother once hit one in a 309 and it trashed the light and the grill, (well it was a pug so a leaf could have done that) but I think you were lucky damage wise.

It was on the A1 just before Biggleswade and I was doing 69.99 mph Officer!! :D

Go for the "rat" look and mend it with some black cable ties stitches

(I hope this is the right pic, my firewall won't show it)

T-cut and WD40 and you might be onto something. Those 2 things fix just about everything I reckon!:D

You're going to claim for that? You could probably get a new bumper and painted for about £300.

Obvious from the above picture, but you do need to include wire ties on that list :D

And gaffer tape...

And to think I was amazed when I got a sparrow stuck in the passenger side of the windshield once. Heh.

One of those Chips Away type companies repair plastic bumpers. I'd check them before contacting your insurance...

I hit one when I just had my car a week. I was driving along a country road on the way to work and one ran out in fount of me. I hit the brakes, didn't hear or feel anything, checked my mirror and there was no sign of it or any feathers. I stopped at the next farm entrance and looked. I wish I had a camera on my phone, because layed across the bottom grill was the pheasant, still alive! Head one side and legs/tail the other. I carefully removed it and there was no damage to my car only to the pheasant.

Stupid Phucking Pheasants!!!

The thread title is like "Don't press the button" - you just have to...

Actually it was the Lid from some Dash Wipes I had.....a perfect fit! :-)

nice work....

Good repair job! I hit a pheasant in my old 182 Clio once - it ripped off my splitter and smashed my under tray, but it's nothing compared to the damage you seem to have sustained - it's like you've hit Birdzilla!

Bumper looks quite pleasant now the pheasant's been plucked off!

How appropriate is your registration .... UKK indeed!
