New vRS owner

Featured Replies

Well, I have confirmed a deal this morning with the local Skoda dealer for a 56 plate Fabia vRS in red, 15,500 miles.

Can't wait to pick it up, may not be ready until next Saturday though, which does suck a little bit, but never mind.

Will get some Pic's up when I get it,

This seems like a good friendly forum too, looking forward to it . . .

Craig,

Well done Craig, you got any mods planned? This place makes you spend money like theres no tomorrow! John

Well, I would like to get it re-mapped, and then the PD160 air intake, but I am slightly cautious about re-mapping it because I have heard a lot of stories about the standard clutch slipping if it is to 'modded' and there is a lot of torque . . . How much is a new clutch system that will overcome this problem?

A search will let you know, but it's usually around the £800 mark for a new clutch system :)

Just out of interest, how much did you pay? Thinking about how much i'd get for mine (Which is also a 56 plate)

Just testing the waters :D

You have a PM

Welcome to the club

Ask for a clutch friendly remap

Do a search on here for all the bits and pieces Skoda SHOULD have done i.e. wishbone bushes, RARB, LCR splitter ;) etc etc etc :thumbup:

Did you get them down a bit on the price?

clutch friendly re maps are for gayers,go full fat its the only way:D

welcome to briskoda:thumbup:

:P

Should have added "if your interested in men"

(that better Gary? lol)

Lol, i would rather have a 'gay' remap than have problems with the clutch that will cost getting on a grand to sort out!

 Well then, what are the chances of there being a problem with the clutch if i had a "man's" remap?

With low mileage on your forthcoming Fabia there should be a good deal off mileage left yet with a "Mans Map" but that is not not always the full story, depends on how you drive the car and a lot of other factors. I've previously had a remap on a PD130 engine,186bhp & 320ft.lbs. torque on a standard clutch, that was fine for 5years and 50k. miles with a standard clutch and the car was sold with no slippage. There is always the luck element involved on how long a clutch lasts. Forumers on the Seat/VW/Skoda sites have had mixed luck on how long their clutches last with remaps so really there is no definitive answer for you. Hope you enjoy your Fabia and the Briskoda site, plenty off advice for you. I see your getting the car today so we are expecting photos soon.

So if it is driven carefully and not ragged everywhere it may be alright, cool, thanks for the advice,

I wish I were getting it today, it's next Saturday, because they are extending the MOT they said their workshop is full, but don't worry, I will be getting some pic's up!

ad for your map jabbasport can't be beaten,i have managed to pull on ever other re mapped fabia when some side by side tests were run on an *ahem* private roads:D

Hi!

The P-Torque remap is £265.00 all in for members. This includes the remap, dyno runs before and after, and engine diagnostics

Hi!

Yes, we offer Hybrid upgrades which will give approx 230hp.

Your torque is very high, and must be quite a spike on the stock turbo. Have you got a graph out of interest?
