High mileage Fabias

Featured Replies

My car ticked over 64k miles this morning, which got me wondering how many high-mileage Fabias there actually are on this site and what the highest is. There must be someone who's hit 100k ;)

The rate I'm going in 5 years I will hit 100K. But yeah be interesting to know how reliable/un they are.

Wasn't there a Skoda which has such a high mileage yet still running well that a Skoda dealer wanted to buy it back off the customer at a very high price so they could show off how reliable Skodas are nowadays?

Maybe it was an octy though

I've seen a few V and w reg Fabias with 100,000 on them for sale, but haven't heard anybody on here with 100K. I did drive a Polo SDi with 100,000 and it was fine. I'm still on 21K after 2 years and 9 months! Everything is too close to me here so I never need to drive more than a few miles!

So go the long way :D

I've done 10k since I bought the car (6 months  ) so I'll be at the 100k mark in just under 2 years (or 4 services) time :D

Will have to see how much money I have and whether they've stuck the 160bhp lump in it by then ;)

My car is a few weeks short of a yr old and has just ticked past 25k... will need a 30k service by xmas

My octy would have done 30k in 12 months if I hadn't been using courtesy cars for about 7 weeks.

As it is its now on 28.5k

I looked at an 80K TDI when fishing around for a replacement... wouldn't have been put off by that mileage at all! They're just nicely run in. :D

10k in 6 months = 20k in a year = 100k in 5 years not under 2???? Am I missing something?

True but if you start at 50K... :)

I cover about 30k a year and want to get about 100-120k out of my Fabia VRS all motorway.. have a newshape Mondeo which had 7k on it when we got it and now has 73k drives like new and only on the second set of rubber!!!

Most cars are ok if you service them on the dot

Engine may go on that long, but expect air con evaporator sensor to pack up and clutch pedal to snap around the 60k mark ;)

Hope the Furby TDI engine is as good as the 1.5 Isuzu engine. Had one in my last Corsa. Quarter of a million miles, 67 mpg and no oil used. Great engine. Used ordinary oil. Services done at home very easy and cheap (my biggest moan about the Furby). I suspect that the "don't scrimp on services" message is the most important
