Coming back from Oxford late last night some chav decided it would be fun to throw a brick off a bridge onto the duel carriageway:

I suppose I can be grateful it wasn't worse but still :mad::mad: at the moment.

The insurance would only recover the car to a local repairer so I had to get a coach and train back to Kent in the early hours of the morning. No idea how long they will take to repair it. Looked to me like a new bonnet, new screen, new wipers, new plenum chamber covers and that plastic square tube thing that sits behind the air box is shattered as well.

Like you said it could be worse as it could have bounced off your roof.

Probably cheaper to claim for it, I think I have to pay a £200 excess for "Malicious Damage" and if I tried to fix it myself the parts would probably come to more than that, not to mention getting it back to Kent :thumbdwn: I just hope they can get it fixed so I can pick it up maybe next weekend, don't like knowing it's stuck in some compound 90 miles away

I really don't understand what these little jeb ends are thinking when they do things like this. It's obviously a good thing that no one was hurt, but that doesn't take away from the utter stupidity of what they've done.

The trouble with plod these days is they are just heavy handed revenue boys for government coffers.

If caught they would probably get a section 5 and the statutory £80 fine that goes with it. Seems everything you do no matter how minor or serious gets one these days.

Respect for the police is seriously suffering as a result IMO.

Glad you are ok mate. Same thing happened last year with me, but not on the same scale. 1 day before a car show some charver threw a 'f@@king apple which smashed my headlight -it was just luck I didnt catch him (i did try) because I probably wouldnt be responding with this message
